Hi Friends
My daughters yaya accidentally plugged my 110 na bluray player to 220. Umusok daw !
Anyway my wife plugged it in and apparently it was working fine again.
Do i need to stop using it and bring it to the shop or okay na yun as long as it wont happen again
btw i live in old sta mesa can you point me to a reliable store in case i need to have it fixed and converted to 220 na para sure na di na mangari yun
btw my bdp is a sony bdp 360

guys any inputs
tried watching for a few mins kanina okay pa naman sya im just worried baka lumala pa lalo sira in case i keep on watching
-
Maybe your unit is auto-volt 110-220v?
-
Try it again tom for a longer period. From my experience generally when this happens it wont work anymore. So i hope it works fine then maybe its an autovolt. I also use the same player. :)
-
simon, i found this in the net...
http://www.bombayelectronics.com/Sony_BDP_S360_Region_Free_Blu_Ray_Player_p/so-bdps360.htm
check the model of your player if it's the same.
-
thanks everyone im sure it not autovolt :) kasi umusok daw :)
jazzy will check the link thanks. will do a stress test mamaya when i get home
-
the model in the link says it is autovolt.
the model in the link is Sony BDP S360,
while your model is Sony BDP 360
-
I think there is only Sony BDP S360.
If the OP unit is really 110v only & accidentally plugged into a 220v outlet then his unit should no longer work (I did that to my 110v HD DVD player & Xbox 360....smokes came out immediately & Kaput!... ;D )
It seems OP's unit still in working condition after inserted into 220v so I think it should be auto volt otherwise it won't be working na... ;D Lots of Sony equips are autovolt nowdays. :)
-
^sorry, but what is op? :-[ i also think there is only 1 BDP s360 model, which replaced the previous s 350
-
^sorry, but what is op?

anyway im pretty sure its not autovolt checked the back for wattage and its 120 volts not the 100-240 for autovolt
i guess im just a bit lucky it didnt breakdown... well not yet but im sure theres going to be a longterm effect after that incident

question mga sir. ano kaya problem ng bd player if after updating the firmware ayaw pa rin magplay ng blu ray discs? dvd r1 lang ang pwede niyang iplay ???
-
Most likely a mechanical problem. Lens might need cleaning and alignment.

almost brand new ung unit eh.
-
Almost new? What a bummer.
You need to file a warranty claim.

Simon I tried this before on my brother's vintage AMP 110v then I accidentally plugged it in directly to the outlet, smoke came out & cracking sounds also. I just tried to pull out the power cord right away & let it cool down for the whole day then I tried to test it again the next day everything seems ok. Confusing ??? But good enough seems nothing is malfunctioning after this accident. Although this is an old amp while your BLU-RAY unit we all know have a more complicated design. If its working ok na siguro yan or gusto ka pa check para sigurado baka mai long term effect, not so sure about this. GoodLuck :)

what brand is that if i a may iask
