saw an LG 42pj350 plasma and 32 ld310 lcd tv sold as a bundled package, is this plasma tv any good? hows the pq? am kinda scared on how reliable it will be, as i saw in the other thread that lg's tend to break down after 2 yrs

i have almost same model as this LG, but mine is 42PJ250, got it for 24K brand new. 3million contrast, superb PQ, and also the frame is thinner compared to my 50" panny, but mine is rgb less compared to 350's.

just finished watching avatar bd, very satisfied with the PQ with its price tag of 35k. i can't believe that a cheap plasma can deliver that kind of PQ.

I chanced upon 2 families buying the promo of the 42PJ350R + 32LD310 @Abenson Walter Mart Munoz. Sabi nung salesman last day na raw ng promo yesterday and that they only have 2units left.
Those 2 families were supposed to get a 32in LCD TVs only but ended up getting the 42in Plasmas + the 32in LG LCD TV. Cash Price was at Php49,980.
The Plasma has 1yr Abenson Warranty and LG warranty while the freebie 32LD310 does not come with Abenson Warranty, but has 1yr LG warranty.
PQ was great. I called up wifey and asked her to get the specs from the net since the box and the manual didnt indicate anything about the resolution nor did it contain any marking like HDready or Full HD on the unit or on the box. Good think I was able to confirm that it was only 720P. Its still a good price IMHO for a 32in Plasma.

When I went to Abensons I was offered BUY1GET1 FREE of LG42PJ350 for 65,000 (12 mos 0%) or 60,000 cash/straight charge. What do you think is the better buy, the one with the LD460 or I get another PJ350? I think PJ350 is only HD Ready whereas LD460 is already FULL HD. Your comments/suggestions are very welcome.

yung sa kin nga pala is pj250, rgb less lang sa pj350, got it 24K only here abroad..

Went to Abenson Las PInas last night, wala na silang stock. Called Avant Trinoman just a while ago, they're giving me one stock (boxed) and one that is used for display. Talaga daw in demand, dami naka reserve but most wants boxed pareho. Patulan ko na kaya kahit yung isa ay used for display?

2 LG 42 inches plasma for 60K nga. you can contact me kung entresado ka. tag isa tayo. puedeng BPI straight payment, kaya lang delivery nga 2 or 3 weeks pa galing Korea. Ang kagandahan yung manufactured date almost Aug. and Sept 2010 lang. Just text me kung entresado kang joint tayo for the promo.

ganda nito.. nipis ng frame.. pati thickness niya nipis din... very affordable pa 30t lang...

I inquired yesterday at Abenson WalterMart. They are offering the buy1take1 42PJ350 for 60K but straight charge or cash only.
Ive see the PQ and its really good though HD Ready lang panel nya. Ang ganda and manipis lang sya. I think at 30K its still a good buy provided it no longer has quality issues that used to haunt the LG products of previous years.
Between a 32 or 37 FHD LCD and this 42 HD Ready Plasma, I would rather get this one personally. You will love the big screen specially if you will be using it mostly for cable programs and TV use and seldom for HD movie viewing.

sir, favor naman. kapag bumili ka pakitanong naman kay abenson kung hangang kailan yung promo nila. 1 of 2 choices ko to. so may possibility na bumili ako pero baka next week or next next week pa. hintay pa ng sweldo para pandagdag sa budget :)

baka pwedeng photcopy? otherwise, medyo mahirap kung di magkakilala ang magshare. madali lang naman i-mail ang OR pero the question is sino ang magtatago, ang nag initiate ng deal o bato-bato pik na lang ;D
also, on warranty issue. sa ganyang hinihintay pa ang parating na units at nagkakaubusan, di ba kayo nababahala in case na may problema ang unit na mapapunta sa inyo? what if wala pang pamalit? :(

when I was in Glorietta last month nagkaroon ng Madness Sale sa activity area noon and
saw this buy 1 take 1 promo ng LG... and from my observation, I think this Plasma TV has a Floating Black problem, katabi nito mga LCD TV din ng LG but none of them had the same problem kaya hindi sa sample video nanggagaling ang floating black phenomenon...

May lg display ang avant, sa alabang town center. Anyway i saw this lg plasma buy one take one offer.
So i informed my officemates and today we bought 3 pairs (6 units) . Actually we would have bought more . But what was left were just the demo units. I found ourelves lucky as people were looking for lcd's and were hesistant to buy.
This plasma tv has a very thin frame , almost like an led unit. And for the price paid , this an excellent buy. One thing about plasmas is the excellent viewing angle . Plasma barely drop their contrast ratio' s when viewed an angle.

i just got a pair for 60k cash at abenson's trinoma. i thought it was the best deal in town. turns out you could get one with a free 5.1 ht for 30k lol.
either way, you can't go wrong with this plasma.

I called up Avid Sony shop trinoma. The promo is available to all Avid Surfer shops in the metro.
Sony Avid Shops can also sell them but on order basis since these shops only carry Sony products by default.

but so far so good yung pj350r ko
the more I use it, the PQ keeps on getting better and better

didn't bother to break in my unit.
i figured if it is absolutely necessary, the manufacturers would have done that themselves because it would be to their own advantage.
also, the phosphor-based crt doesn't need break in so why should the plasma be any different.
i hope i won't regret it someday :)
what i did was to download a DIY calibration video via torrent ;) and use the results as my setting. the setting is very similar to cinema mode. so far i am very satisfied with the pq. colors are accurate pero malamig sa mata. di tulad ng mga lcd sa showrooms na very vivid yung colors pero inaccurate and masakit sa mata kapag nanood ka ng matagal.

so far so good..my unit came from US,arrived a week ago pq is more superior than my lcd..audio is quite impressive wth the clear voice 2..ccudnt miss any whisper..the only set back is the very reflective panel..but overall a great bang for the buck!

It's actually good that they're including a home theater setup.
Kahit sobrang high end ng tv mo at spectacular yung content na pinapanood mo, parang kulang pa rin kapag yung sounds mo ay galing lang sa TV, na most of the time ay tunog basura.
Some people are more concerned with sound that their home theater system costs several times more than their tv's.
Well I think it's a pretty good deal.

I went to to AV Surfer Alimall yesterday. Nakita ko ung free it's not a home theater it's just like a 5.1 sound bar..30k sa cash, 33,600 for 12 months..however i decided to have the Samsung 43D450.. ;D ;D

Sir Macoyzki so far so good. Everyday the pQ is just getting better and better, still medyo mahirap nga lang kunin ung perfect timing of the PQ, as advised by abenson, pag dumating na daw ung wallmount, papa calibrate daw ung Pic sa samsung mismo. They indeed do calibration for free... then unlike other Plasma TV na grabe kung uminit sya hindi ganun, i tried to open the TV for almost half day di sya ganun kainit. Sound is superb....

I called LG, wala daw silang free calibration...sbi ko nga baket yung Samsung at Panasonic meron...huhu. Pero in fairness, amazed ako sa customer service nila. Ang bilis ng response nila at maayos kausap.
My 42PJ350R is doing great din. My plasma's PQ gets better and better everyday din. Sound is great even at low volume, clear and balanced.
