Title: NMT Low HD HQV Scores - HTPC gets high - is this real?
Post by: FrancisD on Mar 12, 2011 at 10:16 AM
I was posting scores of video cards and those internal to the newer Chips.  The lowest scores about 80% of maximum and all scores extremely high in compatibility and playback.

A score of 78 out of 210 for a good NMT? And this is already higher than others???

After investing in really good High Def panels - we are going to watch this in video machines with scores this low? Is this the equivalent of using consumer products on a good audio system with an IPOD ( I have seen Jobs demo the ipod attached to a Wilson Grand Slamms - is this like this?)

I get that NMT are no brainers to use. Just visit the thread on configuration of HTPC and its a headache. But can someone just put something like an AMD-350 on an NMT? And have a USB DAC an option? The video I have seen in NMT of friends are OK, but the sound is really not there.

Most people buy NMTs because of the available "free" movies out there.

I just got one to play my ITB of flacs.
