Title: The Terminator (Special Edition)
Post by: Aston Martin on Jun 16, 2003 at 09:21 AM
Hello evrybody,

'dont know if this is the right thread for my question, but can somebody verify if their T1 dvd pauses at the end of Chapter 18 and the whole of Chapter 19?

my copy does this, and the only way to move on is to skip Chapters 18 and 19 completely. i'm very disappointed. :-[

My Terminator 1 Sp. Edition works fine on my old reliable Panasonic A300, no freeze frame, pauses or  skipping noted.

It's my T2 Ultimate Edition that wouldn't proceed with the special extended version on my Panasonic A300 but works fine on my Apex 3201 DVD player.

hi.. i think... terminator's recent release is a single disc .. for r3 releases, MGM usually separates the features from the movie itself . reason maybe the lack of technology to produce a flipper kind of disc or others...

mgm releases like fiddler on the roof was released in R3 as a two discs special edition with, unfortunately, some features deleted in reference to R1.

 :)

i got the recent version of this dvd (special edition) r1.  this is a single disc edition, single sided dual layer with new dolby 5.1 EX mix.  anamorphic widescreen unlike the previous dvd.

:-[   OUCH.... Another re-packaged only (adding a lenticular slipcase)

Not knowing that it was an MGM re-released in a lenticular slipcase.. I immediately bought this.. but as soon as arrive home.. as I pull out the DVD.. what???

Its the same as the MGM Special edition... geez Id rather return it and would just stick with the HOLOFOIL Limited edition.
