i think nasagot na yan sa isang thread somewhere here in pdvd .. mas matipid ang lcd pero ang alam ko constant ang consumption nya. but for plasmas it differs.. depende sa pinapanood mo, if it's bright then pwedeng umabot sa total power consumption nya more or less mga 350W but then kung dark scenes naman pwedeng bumaba ng 200W or even 100W i think..     :)

i stumbled on yet another deal on the 42PV70H here in Singapore.

truth be told, i was still tilted to the 42PV70H, but we decided to get the LG when my wife said she can now record and watch her TFC programs.

bells and whistles aside, there was the price. from S$2999 to S$1799 plus S$200 grocery vouchers. the price includes the 5 years warranty, tax, delivery, pedestal and a wall mount. the wall mount can be installed later from the first day the TV is delivered up to 3 months. bought using a credit card, 12 mos. to pay, zero interest.

item will arrive in one week and hopefully i can put up a review afterwards.

46C3000 at P110K or 50PV70 priced almost the same. but the toshiba is full HD...
is the toshiba the better choice among the 2? TIA.

If you are buying the TV for watching regular DVD movie and for cable viewing, the 50PV70 can present better picture quality than any LCD TV, even if the LCD TV has a higher pixel counts.  However, if you are buying the TV for watching HD DVD format, you may wish to avail of full HD to appreciate the detail picture.  Nevertheless, despite of HD picture, the significant difference of picture quality between full HD and HD ready is quite minimal.

i think one of the reason why we want an lcd tv is because of its hd format and compatibility. lcd is leaning towards the hd direction. future proofing, go full hd!

...and with the price quote above makes it even more enticing  ;D

baka eto na naman yung "too good to be true" seller ah... ingat lang mga papi baka mala-quicksand 'tong seller na 'to. parang baka o kalabaw na habang naglalakad e nagpapakawala ng dumi at di man lang lumilingon... medyo nagdududa na nga ako e kase tingnan nyo naman sila Jeff & Vic agad may reply sa tanong natin at nagpapaumanhin pa kapag nakaligtaan. tama ba?  ;)

sumagot na at last si techmaster. pwede daw sa kanya delivery test mo 2 weeks then bayad ka once yung warranty card has been given to you.

Dami pa clarification na kailangan nya gawin at ibigay including his contact numbers before he can earn our trust. But this is his chance for good business and his prices are indeed enticing.

Ako naman IMHO on these two, if i have the money, i'll get them both but in the end, you will have to choose based on your own eyes. Also, i have seen the PV70 and the screen resolution is just amazing but thats me. You may not agree with me but its my opinion and thats what my eyes are telling me.

What're the differences between the Toshiba 46X3500 and 46C3000H? I heard both are full-HD Full 1080P, but since it's difficult to find online reviews of both, all i know is that the X-series has a digital tuner, and the C series does not.

Does anyone know of any other differences? like do either support built-in upscaling, etc..?

I just wanna be properly informed before I decide which one to buy, because I want my choice to be as future-proofed as possible for any advances in blu-ray or HD, and pc connectivity...

46X3500 has dvb or digital video box for HD reception; it has piano-finished look.

f46C3500 has no dvb; it has flat-black look.

hi guys! im planing to buy lcd tv for my dad. i now have the samsung r81 40 inch. which of the 2 brands mentioned above is closest in terms of pic quality to the samsung? mr e-reply said panasonic is better. i wanna hear ur take on this too. by the way e-reply gave me a very good deal on both tvs.  thanks!

I have a 32lx70, which is not that different from the 32lx70 in terms of PQ. I had the chance to see 32lx77 and toshiba 32a3500 side by side and playing the same movie from the same DVD player. 32lx77's PQ is way better than toshiba's. In fact, the panny lcd tvs are way better than almost all of the other brands in terms of PQ. Believe me. You'll get your money's worth with the panny lcd tvs.

Actually, personally, I prefer the 32LX77 over the Samsung 32R81b.  So, if I were to rank it.  ;)

1) Panasonic
2) Samsung
3) Toshiba.

Thanks Attorney for buying TV from us. You have made a good choice.  The plus factor of 32LX77 is the price. It delivers good color and contrast, but at a much lower price.

I have a Sammy R81 and just like you plan to do, I do connect my laptop on the LCD when I view DivX TV series. My laptop is a HP, which has a S-video connector. That is what I use to connect to the LCD and it gives me nice PQ.  ;D

that's the problem with my t60, no S-video connector, only vga out.   have you tried to using vga instead of S-video? feedback naman sir kung maganda pa rin quality.

by the way im choosing between Samsung LA32R81B or Panasonic TX-32LX70.  im still searching for reviews of cons and pros.  while reading posts here, some say r81 tends to degrade PQ when viewed on side angle. can anyone confirm this?

What do you think is better Panasonic TX32LX70/Samsung LA32R81B vs. Hitachi L32A01, i know the panasonic/samsung is only up to 1080i and the hitachi is 1080p capable, but besides this part, regarding PQ and other specs which is better? Also is it worth the extra cash to go 1080p capable? will i even notice the change? And also can anyone give me their current prices(sights and sounds)? TIA

Yellowish ang hitachi sir, get the pana or sammy. ;) Or better get the LG 32 plasma.

No doubt Samsung and Panasonic can deliver good picture. However, these two TVs can only accept up to 1080i.

A TV that can support 1080p, of course, is a better choice. You can easily see the differences between 1080i and 1080p when you watch TV with internet downloaded or highly compressed video material.  With 1080i, you will see the movie a bit fuzzy and pixelized. Switch to 1080p you will see picture a lot better.

We recommend you to try Toshiba 32C3500. It support 1080p. It also can deliver quality picture: rich color, deep black contrast, and smooth motion flow.

1080p and 1080i can only be seen in big screen such as 42 above on small screens like 32 bro di sya halata kahit naka bluray ka na. ;)

I have 32C3500 toshiba, 32LG pc4r and panasonic 32lx700 all are 1080p units and compare them w/ my samsung 32r81b, LG plasma, panny 32lx77 at 1080i.  NO difference at all, (there would be diff only if you watch a foot away hehehe :D). Better vist theater works and compare them side by side.

The best is audition the units! ;)

If you really want a cheap 1080p toshiba is the way to go Php30,500 pick up at Stop Look N'Listen robinson pioneer.

im more of a hobbiest than a sales person, directly speaking >pangit ang toshiba na 32C3500. pero kung presyo at sales talk lang paguusapan..... hehehe eh di sige meron din tayo nito. ;)

All of them looks the same in games sir, the only thing is different among the 3 is the panasonic 32lx77, mas maganda talaga color interms of dvd/bluray source. ;)

check it out at theater works and compare the 3 units side by side using one source (bluray) we also have a ps3 there you can test the games w/ it. call 901-39-75 look for jeni. ;D

2006-2007 32lx70 no pc input

2007-2008 32lx77 piano finish and has pc input. improved unit.

mga sirs, noob lang po... pa pm naman po ng recommendation ng 32" lcd and prices, nung isang araw pa ako naghahanap, buti nakita ko itong site na ito... sir e-reply, will visit your shop soon for side by side comparison..

OT: I visited one of the appliance centers sa mall, mukhang nanira pa yung nagbabantay dun, sabi niya black market daw yung mga shops na nababanggit dito, kaya daw pag may sira, dun daw sa mga shops na yun ipupunta yung defective units at ndi puede sa service centers. Then, he recommended LE7 kasi bulok daw yung LX77... Ano pong mapapayo niyo mga sirs?

Naninira lang talaga ang mga chain stores sa Specialty Shops dahil sa hindi makasabay sa presyo. LE7 and LX77 ay pawang Panasonic produkto. Kung bulok ang LX77 eh di pati LE7 bulok din. Panasonic is a high end electronics. There is no way for Panasonic to sacrifice one product quality that will affect the overall image of the whole Panasonic.

The Samsung LA32A550, though is full HD, cannot present any difference from an HD-Ready TV. The reason might be the size. As I said in other thread, people won't be able to see much difference between 1080p and non-1080p HDTVs unless their screens are relatively large (46" or bigger). Even then, if you sit at the farther end of recommended viewing distance range, you might be just as happy with a 768p or 720p TV. But if you plan to get a larger screen and sit closer, you'll appreciate the extra detail 1080p sets can offer.

Why dont you looks at them side by side pwede naman magrequest ng showdown of the 3 picks u have on your list. If u intend to use it w/ your ps3 then the Sony D300A is for me the best choice. Samsung and Panasonic indeed are of good quality and it really attracts attention because of its low price compare to Sony lcd tvs.
