so if your going to get  a 3010 for large screen gaming look at the older epson 8350.

In about 6-12 months I plan to upgrade to a 3D projector. As I will be living in London, it looks like I will be getting this model, or actually the TW6000. I like the idea that the Euro model will be gloss black rather than white. I may still keep my current Hitachi PJ-TX200 for 2D as it looks so damned good.

does a $150 additional cost reasonable for a wireless HDMI on an epson 3010e over the 3010?

just bought 2 pcs 35-ft high speed HDMI at $25 each, that's $50 spent already. with $100 more, i should get the wireless HMDI  ::)

what do you guys think?

Projector central and Epson has a calculator.

I pushed my setup to 110" or 120" but reconsidered given the orientation Of my room, best you post a layout plan and distance to your screen to your viewing area

I want this PJ also. Local model is Epson EH-TW6000 according to www.epson.com.ph

I am thinking of buying in Amazon.com but kinakabahan ako that might damage the lamp during shipment.

Other option is to get this unit locally at a higher price (double I think).

Any suggestions guys?

Thanks

im torn between this and the ar100u, with the latter around $100 cheaper. both are highly rated by projectorreveiws.com and both are winners in their category.

I've seen the ar100u up close and its huge. i want to see the 3010 but dont know where it is locally sold.

buy it from amazon and have it ship by air. shipping will cost you around 8k to manila and you will have it in a week's time.

+1 air cargo mo na yan
8K (1 week wait) vs US$ 80 (high risk, 5-6 weeks wait) is worth the difference

That's the risk that you need to take if you're buying abroad.. Kaya nung pina ship ko yung akin... Panay ang Novena ko he he he

SO far pag dating.. all is working... Wala ding marks yung box na na abuse...

na intriga din ako nung binili ko yung 3010 coz i wanted wireless din, i decided to go wired  coz i've not heard any feedback on how wireless performs.

Perhaps the ultimate test is a BD.iso playback over wireless. that's the fattest pipe hog format you can put for this test.

Sabi nga nila mas maganda pa din ang wired think about the 1080x2 na iplay ng PJ mo in wireless mode kakayanin kaya?  malamang parang sa wifi lang yan na wireless yung 1080 pa nga na remux di kinakaya ng wifi yung 3D pa kaya. O0 O0

For 3010 owners, what PJ screen color do you use, Cinewhite or cinegrey? I'm planning to buy an elite screen EZframe PJ screen for my  dark room but I don't know which is better for giving out blacker blacks.  I'm only  currently using a DIY light grey pj  screen and want to get better blacks.

Go cinegrey.

before my PJ screen came in, i was projecting on grey wall and i was already happy with it.

Now i'm on white auto PJ screen with a 1.3 gain its too bright for the room so i had to adjust pa.  Pag nagkapera ako saka na lang ako bili cinegrey. , move the PJ screen elsewhere

Yung silverframe kaya na cinegrey ok na kaya yun? Way cheaper sya than the black frame but my only worry is baka distracting siya in a dark room. Iniisip ko baka I can have it repainted to black or place felt tape on it if i'm not satisfied with it.  If only the black frames are cheaper wala nang isip isip pa.

I have a very small ht room. Im basically holding off getting the tw6000 due to space constraints since at my possible throw distance of 7.5ft, all i can get is a 55(W), 63(Diag) and 31(H) screen(all in inches). Would the zoom function still allow me to get a bigger screen?? Or im better off getting a 50inch panel? :( :(. On the benqw1070, based on projection calculation, i will get a bigger size screen. Kainis, he he.

the most important to consider sir is the seat to screen ratio and not just getting the biggest screen possible. i have a 120" projection but sitting on the 1st row seats (11 ft) seems uncomfortable to my eyes. gumagalaw ang mata ko to view the whole screen width. meanwhile, sitting on the 2nd row seats (14.5 ft) is very comfortable where viewing the whole screen without straining the eyes.

maximized zoom na yan bro?

yung wall, pahiran mo ng medium gray matutuwa ka! and if bili ka ng screen, dont buy yung high gain, too bright ang result.

Yup bro maximized na.  Any bigger than that I think nakakaduling na due to the viewing distance.  DIY muna ako screen for the moment. Overhaul pa ako room ko after the final stages of the screen DIY.

Thanks all.

Good you still have room to adjust pa via zoom  if mag reorient ka ng room later.

Guys, what 3D glasses are you using for the 3010?  I was able to get the PS3 3D glasses and working perfectly. Nabasagan lang ako ng isa during shipping from Manila. Baka there are other brands cheaper for this PJ.

Thanks
