Hello,

My dad wants to get this tv but is hesitant to pull the trigger because one minor but very important connection interface. It has no 3.5 mm analog audio out for his wireless earphone. What should we do to go around this issue. He's willing to replace his earphones if that is the only option... ;D

Your suggestions are most welcome...

---------------------------------------------------------------

Flat screen prices are falling apace these days, and 3D TVs are following suit. Take LG 3D 47LM6200 for example, it is available today for just P75K, which is an astounding drop over last two months ago when it was released at price over P100K. This LG might not be cheap, but it’s the most affordable 47” 3D TV yet, and it has terrific features and performance.

This LM6200 is something of a looker. There’s certainly an elegant design, boasting with slim bezel and dramatic “floating metal ribbon stand”. ‘Invisible speakers’ add to the look, with two 10watts speakers powered by LG’s sound zooming technology, which promises a greater level of sound immersion. The cabinet conveniently comes with a swivel which enables a 10 degrees movement from left to right.

Its specs include smart device that supports all the key players, including Netflix, iPlayer, Facebook, Twitter, ESPN, and YouTube along with around 1500 other applications. It has a built Media playback via USB and networked devices over built-in Wifi. The connectivity is abundant. It has 4 HDMI/HDCP and 3 USB ports located at the side. All other ports are located at the rear side: the RF antenna port, AV input, Component Video and Audio input, digital Audio output, RGB input, PC Audio input, and the Ethernet port.

47LM6200 is an Edgelit LED that claims to have local dimming feature which allows the screen to dim independent sections of the screen, thus providing more control of the brightness and darkness for some areas of the screen. Inside the TV, you’ll find latest of processing technologies and picture-enhancement features: Triple XD Video Engine that aims to bring the highest level of color, clarity and contrast; intelligent sensor that works to automatically optimize the picture in accordance with the room’s lighting and color conditions; LG's unique motion-controlled Magic Remote that allows you to enjoy an intuitive, easy way to access limitless internet content, customizable apps, videos and browse the web all organized in a simple-to-use interface. Magic Wand remote is basically a point and click wand type. It uses motion control similar to wireless videogame controllers. The downside of it though is that it makes switching the input a little difficult for the not-so-techie kinds of people.

For 3D rendering side, the LG incorporates the latest Cinema 3D technology, which promises to eliminate flicker or judder present. There’s also the usual 2D to 3D conversion feature that enables the user to adjust the 2D content into 3D effect, but what impresses is the new LG 3D Depth Control that has the ability to increase the 3D depth. Another add-on in this department is the “Dual Play” gaming, which enables gamers to enjoy two-player gaming on a split screen, and present it as two separate images simultaneously. To be able to view the “Dual Play” image, the gamers are required to wear a separate pair of special eyeglass, which is available for another purchase.

LG produces the picture that’s incredibly punchy and vibrant, while also displaying impressively deep blacks. We put on Blu-ray Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and the torch flames of Rider burn brightly, with yellows and reds appearing piercing and extremely convincing. Even during night scenes, the LG shows good contrast levels to deliver decent black shades and clean whites. While there is some softness to the edges of the rocky and sandy terrain, we find the overall picture still high in detail and sharpness.

TrueMotion 120Hz works great with fast action scenes, but it’s not as stellar with film based content, and so we recommend switching this off to eliminate ‘soap opera effect’ picture quality. Nonetheless, without TruMotion, Rider’s motorcycle chasing scene fast motion is still tracked faithfully.

Cable viewing has a similar story. From live news broadcast to filmed TV series, the picture is decent, with very minimal screen noise to spoil the presentation. There’s a good detail, though not as pinch sharp, supplemented by fine depth of field. Colors are rich and vibrant that never appear overcooked.

Switch to 3D confirms that this LG is an accomplished performer. There’s no denying detail levels fall away a little, but 3D effect is smooth and convincing. There’s no noticeable crosstalk, and so 3D films don’t require wide-eyed concentration to watch. Image color remains rich with full of vitality, contrast is striking luster and outright black. The passive 3D glasses, which come in 3 pairs, provide comfort and relaxing to watch. Unlike the active glass that dim out the brightness, the passive glass continues to accept bright image that provides more pleasing 3D viewing.

So, there you have it: yet another fine 3D TV. If you’re in the market for an all rounder TV at a budget price, we recommend buying this 47LM6200. It does everything you could reasonably demand, including the pleasure of watching movie in 3D.

ang baba ng price ng Sights and Sound regarding this HD TV. I wonder how they can offer in this very low price.  The freebies is almost the same with SM Appliances but the price range is very big even if you go with credit card payment.

Hoping for reviews with 3D games tested (Wipeout HD, Uncharted 3, Gran Turismo 5).

I have the 47" LG 47LM6700 and uses Xbox 360.  I played the Call of Duty Black Ops 2 which has 3D game support and I can say it's Wow! It feels like you are inside the game.  The Eye telescope of my Rifle feels like just in front of my face.  At first, I was just using the 2D-3D conversion of the TV to play this game and I already was blown away...however i don't know that I still need to activate the game's 3d support by changing it in the Option menu of the game, and when I did activate the game's 3D support I was not only blown away...I was stunned by the quality of 3D of this game it's Awesome...It's not tiring on the eyes even if i played long hours...And ofcourse no hussle on the flickering and battery since i use the polarised 3D glass and also it's very lightweight!

So in summary, my gaming experience already evolved and i'm looking forward for more 3D Games support to play with this amazing 3D TV 47LM6700.

Is the 55LM7600 much better than the 55LM6200?

The price of 55LM is around 78K (without HT), while the price of 55LM7600 is around 92K (without HT)?

Considering the price difference of 14K, will you take the 55LM6200 or the 55LM7600? Why?

TIA

Re 55LM6200 and 55LM7600, if you check CNET.com, the LM6200 has a "so-so" review while the LM7600 has a good review. But well, there is the Php14K price difference between 55LM6200 and 55LM7600, with 55LM6200 at Php78K and 55LM7600 at Php92K.

In Tekzilla's review they mentioned that this tv has: "Great features, good video processing and a motion sensing control that actually work. There's just one problem with LG's LM6200, the colors on the screen are a bit... off." - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybQUNefEhc4

So, can anyone confirm if the firmware update for this unit fixed the color levels?

Actually, the other option is to get a bigger screen with Samsung 46EH5300, hmmmm.....

I got the 42LM6200 and it is awesome! Was going to get a pana vt30 pero wala na stock na 42 inchers; so I bought this instead. No regrets here. You can calibrate the colors and you can turn off the trumotion unlike what other people said that you can't. Its all in settings ;) Also the set saves your calibrations for the source you're using. So if you're using a usb source it you can have it at standard with the trumotion turned off and you can set the trumotion on in vivid and use it for tv programs if you'd like. Contrast ratio is also high at 6million:1 if I'm not mistaken. The magic remote is also alot better to use than samsung's smart tv's hand gestures which are kind of hard to calibrate(one of the reasons I bought this instead of a sammy 3dsmart tv). For just 3k bucks more over the vt30 (php38,000) you get a 2012 LED 3d smart tv ;) btw i got 12 3d glasses (10passive and 2 for dual play) and a wall bracket as freebies.
This TV is feature packed and I haven't even gone into using the apps yet. Don't hesitate in buying this TV :D

Anyway, could you comment on the reflectiveness of the screen? I read somewhere that the screen is somewhat reflective.

Don't hesitate in buying this TV :D
agree with this!  I'm also happy with my LG42lm6200!

Ey fleadip, I'm set on getting this model as well, hopefully by weekend.

Anyway, could you comment on the reflectiveness of the screen? I read somewhere that the screen is somewhat reflective.

For an LED it is a bit reflective for my taste, but only if you have the lights on or are watching in broad daylight with the sunlight hitting an object infront of the TV, but if you're room is just a bit dark it won't bother you. I would suggest also to turn it off in the store so you can have a better idea ;)

Any idea on the current prices of the 47 and 55 inches of this model? Sorry for the noob question, what is a dual play glass? Thanks
Dual play is a 3d technology that lets you play your games with split screen on your tv at full screen for both players :D so if you play granturismo 5 and you're player 1 you don't see player 2's screen, but you see your top half as full and vice versa for player 2 ;) don't know the price of the 55 but the 47 is 71k if I'm not mistaken. could be lower though.
Where do you bought this?
I bought it at abensons  in Shang bec sns had me check the display there since they didn't have any demo units.
wala ba SOE LM6200?
it does. This set has trumotion. You can adjust it if you don't like it. At first I was impressed at the store with it, but now I just use trumotion for animated movies and superhero movies. Who wouldn't want to see the hulk and black widow in trumotion hehe

I see some, but you can adjust it to your liking. so far its not as bad as some of the other sets I've seen from Sammy. I guess it depends on what you watch too. I saw NFL high Def and mine didn't display it on my default vivid setting.

Thanks and will try it out before purchasing. My room is pretty bright which is why I'm staying away from Plasma, otherwise it was the VT30 or E550 sana. Keeping my fingers crossed for now and hope the reflection is not that much.

You can get the lg 42lm6200 at ansons for 38kcash, plus 10 eye glasses, magic remote, and wall bracket compared to the 41k offered by sns with less freebies. Considering na 2 yeas lg warranty pa sa ansons. Same with the other units..

^ nice buy! I got mine 41k with 12 glasses. 2 gaming glasses and the rest 3d glasses. For those still not convinced; If I were you guys I'd buy now so if there are any defects you can still return it and get a brand new one from the warranty;) wait a bit longer you might end up with the last one with no more stocks to replace what you have. So far I'm not returning mine since there aren't any issues coming up. Just saw brave and avengers in 3d and it was breath taking. Normally I wouldn't bother with 3d because I dnt really see the depth, but after adjusting it on this set and watching brave It looks like most if not all my movies will be 3d hehe. Merry christmas everyone! Here's hoping you all get what you want for christmas and more!

Haven't tried it on normal broadcasting, but I heard you can make that 3d as well. Just don't know how good it would be in 3d if it's not an hd channel.

Got this from sns yesterday. Im very happy with it as it does everything i would expect from a 42 inch full hd 3d tv.

Just a few nitpicks:

- Black levels are passable but cant come close to my former sammy 40eh5300
- slight backlight bleed during black top and bottom movie bars. But youll only see it if you look for it. Not really an issue.
- i know built in speakers for thin leds perform bad. But not this bad.... Oh well. I just use the built ins for cable viewing anyway.
- cable management for 4 hdmi slots on the left side can be a nightmare. Hdmi cables arent meant to bend too much. Pero may special 45 degree hdmi adapter naman na nabibili kaya ok lang. I think meron nito si sir anya.
- no earphone jack nor analog audio outs. Kelangan pa dumaan sa receiver or optical to analog adapter.
- mejo reflective yung screen. Pero di masyado hassle if your environmental light is controllable. Ive seen worse on plasmas. Much worse.

But apart from that. I am happy with my puchase as the pros still far outweight the cons. I personally do not regret this purchase at all.

got mine from Anson's C&C last 12-Jan at a better price... (sorry, vic =D) and damn, am so satisfied.  should have gotten the lm7600 series for the aesthetics/240hz, though only 47-in did (or didn't?) come out here and I have a limited budget.  features/PQ-wise, I won't regret this one.  I'm a +6-yr LG LCDTV user and I upgraded only just now.

same here, it can do just everything i need.  i really liked the 3d conversion but if you are after more depth & 3d realism, better watch the 3d format ones.  I also liked its SOP effect!  120hz is okay w/ me. i can stream movies/music from my pc/laptop/tab using my tp-lynksys wireless router without a glitch.  i installed the plex.  built-in media player a 2-par low since I'm used to my +3yr old ever-reliable xtreamer mk1, this is the best media player for me... =)

some observations at my end:
* comfortable 3d glasses - bagay sakin... LOL!
* black level is okay with me, i don't know how to rate this technically/expertly but by dark scenes/articles on movies, dark scenes are dark (not just gray).  perhaps, it could be done by calibrating the tv
* i don't have backlight bleeds. maybe you'll notice that upon turning the tv set on, but I still find it consistent.  i find black bars on top/bottom as black - not grayed
* sounds from thin leds are understandable... i use an AVR for my satisfaction...  so no issue for me.  same use for the built-in audio for tv viewing only
* can watch comfortably during the day even when there's sunlight is at the side -- our window's about <4-ft away and during Dec-Feb direct afternoon sun comes in but only from 1-3PM, we just set the ecomode to minimum and we're fine
* tried back some 720p/1080p where dark scenes pixelates in my old LCDTV but never on this one

next thing to try though is bluetooth headset, has any one been successful yet?

btw, most dl-able 3d materials nowadays has 4K/2K(1K) resolution and they cannot be played directly on this set... I wonder how 3d players can read such formats?  does it downscale it?  4K tv's are but just a dream!

=)

For LM6200 halata sya... But when you switch your picture settings to Game, wala na. :)
Just dont forget to adjust the other settings after you switch to game mode as the colors and PQ turn really bad. Pero a couple of mins of picture adjustments can easliy remedy this.

Hi mga Masters,

I am just wondering why in CNET.com the review or rating for the 55LM9600 is not good, while in CNET Asia.com, the 55LM9600 is rated as one of the top TV, and is even the Editor's Choice. Bakit magka-iba yung review result ng CNET.com with that of CNET Asia.com? Nakakalito tuloy kung anu ba talaga yung performance ng 55LM9600.

TIA

Ano na pong price ngayon ng 55"LM6200

Galing ako sa abensons market market 47" was 69,997 cash price, how much kaya ang 55" niya saka anong store ang may pinakamura, bukod sa SNS.
