When Survivor starts back up again in the fall with its 25th season, it will be in a brand new location: the Philippines. Survivor: Philippines recently wrapped filming in the Caramoan Islands, and at the end of the Survivor: One World reunion show, host Jeff Probst revealed both the location and the show’s big twist — that there will be three returning players, each of whom was medically evacuated in a previous season. Each returning player will be on a different tribe, meaning the show is moving back to a three-tribe format for the first time since season Survivor: All Stars back in season 8.
Probst explained the thinking for the twist to Entertainment Weekly while on location back in March. “First we decided on three tribes,” said Probst at base camp on the island of Caramoan. “That was the first thing. And that was just an effort to change up the way the numbers were playing. People were locking into these alliances of five. So we thought, okay, let’s try a three-tribe scenario and see what that does. Once we had the three tribes, we talked about are we going to do returnees? I love returnees. I love second chances. I love the losers bracket in sports. I love all of it. So I love these guys coming back. And then we hit on the evacuees and went, that’s it! These are true second chancers. They were pulled from the game. They didn’t quit. They didn’t get voted out. They were yanked.”

Good for you! I respect your opinion. I, however, do. He went beyond what is decent, and people like that deserve a good smack down in my book. Even during the reunion, he was unapologetic for what he did. He apologized "to those he offended," but did not look the slightest bit ashamed. Disgusting. It's tolerance that makes people like him believe that kind of behavior is acceptable, since he's just "being honest and true to himself." Bull. He's a sociopath who was surrounded by idiots who didn't stand up to him. Both in the game, and in real life.

Saw the opening. I'm amused by Jeff Probst's pronunciation of the Tagalog tribal names. It is EXACTLY how a Filipino would imagine a stereotypical American accented pronunciation of Tagalog words would be.

This is shaping up to be an awesome season. There are no tribal lines whatsoever! Anything can happen at tribal council. And that last one had everyone's head spinning!

Abi most likely will go next.she has no chance of winning any immunity challenge and she has no allies anymore and the way she's acting up on camp,she definitely is asking for it.
of course, if Lisa or someone else sees it that they need to take out someone who will be a stronger competion down the stretch (Malcolm,Skupin or Denise). tides might turn....

how come there's no balut, day-old, isaw, etc. and challenges based on native games anywhere in this Survivor Philippines?
lack of research maybe for the challenge designers? a massive sungka with coconuts for pebbles will be both a physical and mental challenge.

Balut might be repetitive, since they already did it during Survivor: Palau.
Maybe they'll repeat balut eating next season. Although most challenges for Survivor 26 were water-based.

But almost everything in Survivor nowadays are repetitive already from the challenges to rewards.
I hate that Penner got voted out. I like for him to win after three tries.

The merged Tribe's name "Dangrayne" means Dang Rain.
Penner said they originaaly wanted to name the tribe "Fu*kingRayne" (self explanatory) because of the miserable conditions they had whenever it rained in CamSur.
The Survivor staff told them they can do that but the flag, the tribe name whenever they mention it won't be shown when the episodes air so they changed it to a more friendly name: Dangrayne

I can't understand why in hell Abi thinks Denise is a "mean and bad person."
Just my observation, even though Survivor Philippines is a very good season, it seems that the site where they shoot are really really limited real estate-wise. The rice field where they shot many challenges in the beginning became too obvious.

Abi couldve been on the top 4 and even 3 if she "convinced" Malcolm. pero sabi nga ni Malcolm, kung maiwan pa si Abi e baka makasilat pa ng panalo. hehe
if Malcolm didnt get immunity, he couldve been the one to go and i think he knows it too. kasi si Lisa and Skupin will take him out because he is the one to beat for the 1M.

Malcolm should've given Denise the Immunity Idol, regardless of whether she needed it or not. The fact that he didn't give it to her should've raise alarm bells in her head that Malcolm will not be true to his word now that they are closer to 1M. If Malcolm don't win in the next immunity Idol, Skupin and Lisa should take Denise to the F3 instead of Malcolm.
Malcolm will beat the crap out of them. Denise can too but Malcolm is more endearing to the jury.

The 26th season of the hit reality show “Survivor USA,” billed as “Survivor Philippines,” will again be shot in location in Caramoan, Camarines Sur.
The 25th season of the show, also shot in Caramoan, opened with a viewership of at least 11 million in the United States. Succeeding episodes had viewerships of 9-10 million.
In a statement, Camarines Sur, Governor Luis “LRay” Villafuerte Jr. said the choice of Caramoan as venue of the show’s 25th season could be attributed to an aggressive marketing promotion program of the provincial government.
“The show’s producers were impressed and we gave them our all-out support,” said the governor’s statement.
Caramoan Islands is deemed as one of the show’s most beautiful and challenging location so far.

I thought that this was the best survivor seasons, where you dont know who among the finalists would win. The past few seasons were all so predictable.

this season is ranked by many to be in the top ten. one put it at top 7 below Palau and on top of Samoa.
the top 4 equally deserves to win.
it has the mandatory villain, colorful personalities, etc which makes for a great season.
if only the challenges were more challenging it would have been in the top 5.
Palau is still the best season in terms of challenges.
