Title: which ultrabok sammy or acer laptop?

which is better?

1. http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/support/model/NP530U4E-S01HK-techspecs

or

2. http://www.acer.com.ph/ac/en/PH/content/model-datasheet/NX.M3XSP.002

will be using it for all around. tia!

I prefer the build quality and the screen of the Samsung, but I'd take the Acer because of touch capability. Windows 8 with a touchpad alone feels cumbersome once you're used to touching the screen.

thank you master ivan. ok naman ba the specs ng 2 choices ko? i know marami pa better but i prefer ultrabook para easy to carry around.

Acer for htpc. You will find the Dolby sound very useful in your ht applications

You're welcome, Master Dennis. Yes, both ultrabooks can run most applications at a decent rate.

The Asus Vivobook S550CM is another option (though the graphics adapter is a bit slower).

actually i also checked that  model but i also do a bit of gaming (world of warcraft) kaya a dedicated vid card is important to  me. thanks Master Ivan :)

if same specs, I'll go for Samsung.. if not, get the better processor or memory..

thanks to all who replied. got the acer m5 touch. question nalang guys if possible to upgrade ram from 6gb to 10gb? if so where can i buy kaya an 8gb ddr3 ram? thanks

It's not officially supported, but it's likely possible. Single 8GB PC3-12800 SODIMMs aren't very common locally, as they're often sold in pairs (16GB dual-channel kits). You can order them online, however.
