Hi PDVD Experts,
Need ko lng po sana ng help sa pagpili ng Videoke player.
Pang bahay lang po cya.
Features to look for:
-compatible sa 32" Led TV and a sound bar.
-easy and budget friendly when updating songs pag may bago.
-good to excellent overall quality (sound, video, etc..)
-budget: for DVD type(3K-5K). For Hard Disk Type(7K - 9K)
need ko dn po ng help kung DVD type or Hard-disk type ung pipiliin ko based sa features na hinahanap ko po.
Please help po in suggesting brands / models and san po kaya makakabili.
Any help will be appreciated po. Tnx

Mas preferred ko yung DVD type kasi mura lang yung update disk nya and mas madaling iupdate vs sa iba kasi kailangan dalhin pa yung unit sa distributor or authorized dealer. Meron naman madaling madownload pero mahal tapos onti pa. Kaya I'm very happy with my Platinum X-5 bilis mag basa saka madaling mareplace ung dvd drive pag nasira.

+1 ako dito, I have the same videoke player. When you need an update of songs. Just go to raon or any gameextreme brach to buy the updated dvd disc. the HDD based kasi you cannot skip the update. but if you prefer nice echo and reverb better get a kumyong vivius mini panalo ang sound quality, the downside is medyo pricey ang update. wit h platinum kasi okey na yung echo nya but if you think na bitin you can get a mixer with fx yan solve na ang sound quality...

a. anong standard warranty po ng unit at anong latest volume ng disk? mahirap kasi bumili some would pass you on old stock when you can get the latest naman.
b. kano per upgrade ng disk (sabi sa fb page quarterly, how true?)

Yung pinsan ko ordinary DVdrom lang pinalit nya ok na agad. di naman nasira ung dvdrom ng x-5 pinalitan nya lang ng branded para alam nyang matibay.

Hyundai brand is good as well but the issue with hyundai is yung update, sa platinum the recent volume is 62 na. Platinume release their updates for HDD in a monthly basis while sa DVD version is every 2 or 3 months. the update DVD cost 350 pesos. pag bumili ka sa raon hanapin mo yung game extreme na store sa ronquillo street. I got mine for the price of 8.2K. you might say na pricey sya for a DVD videoke but the good thing is once the warranty expires and an issue arise sa DVD drive, you can always replace it with any SATA based DVD drive din. compare sa ibang DVD videoke pag nasira ang DVD wala ka ng mahanap na replacement. IF you want an HDD based platinum you can try the X-2 model but I prefer the sound ng X-5 when you go to game extreme you can test all the available player at the same time kasi may A/V switcher sila you can compare them right there and then.

Kuha ako X-5, some questions po:

Currently Platinum X series is now at version 62. The standard warranty is 6 months for the parts and 1 year for service. The service center is also located in raon.
b. kano per upgrade ng disk (sabi sa fb page quarterly, how true?) For HDD base 150 per update, For DVD every 3 or 4 months.
Note:When you buy the X-5 check if the firmware is already updated. You would know na updated na sya if yung melody stays on all through out until you turn off the unit. Kasi nakakapagod din yung set mo yung melody to off every song. pag updated yung firmware you just have to do it once. If you can extend your budge I would advice you to get the BMB-One. This is the best there is sa platinum videoke kasi it has a great mic processor and it has a both DVD and HDD in it. the price is about 13K-13.5K. Try to call them for price

ok din naman ang SQ, madaming pamimilian at higit sa lahat libre! you have the option kung i bookmark lang as long as stable ang connection or download para mas stable at no worries. the wireless mouse serves as my remote.

SIr the COAX and Optical out of the unit is only for DVD viewing. If you will be playing Videoke you just have to use the L&R front connector sa likod..

i have one, every year lang nag labas ng bagong cd and konti lang nadagdag pero ang ganda ng tunog nito for videoke, may USB port din sya, dapat lang wag mo pabayaan na di ginagamit ng matagal, like mine for quite sometime di ko ginamit, ayaw na mag on ngayon
im currrently using yung WOW, yung model na around 10K ang cost(sorry dont know the model kaya mention ko cost), di sya wireless and chip based sya.

Ganyan din setting ko sir, mas maganda pa yung mga minus one sa youtube, at masmaganda talaga ma download mga kanto in MP4 tapos lagay sa flashdrive or hd :)

Sir may napansin ako. May problema ata ung TV ko. Not sure pano to ireresolve.
Ang setup ko kasi is Platinum X-5 connected to Samsung 32EH5300 Led Tv.
Ok ang quality, sound and video, list of songs. Lyrics are correct.
Problema, nagkakaroon ng split seconds na delay ung voice galing sa mic bago mo mrinig ung voice sa TV.
Result, parang hinahabol ng singer ung lyrics ksi nahuhuli cya.
Chineck ko ndn po ung settings sa TV and naka Zero naman ung Audio Delay settings.
Tinest ko rn po ung X-5 ko sa isang CRT TV and it is working fine. Kaya i do not assume na ung x-5 ko ung may sira.

Yup 7.9K po cya dun sa binilhan ko . :) normally 8.5k-9k cya sa ibang shop.
Ung sound modes naman po ng Tv ko. Nabawasan ung delay nung pinalitan ko from Amplify to Music ung sound mode. Tapos Ginawa kong High ung Sound Feedback from low.
May delay parin pero di na kasing halata nung una kong settings. :) thanks for the feedback :)

Try to turn off any sound enhancement check if there is still a delay pag nawala then your TV is causing the audio delay. I had the same issue before with my LCD TV as a permanent remedy I purchase an amplifier and a pair of 10" speaker issue resolve.

hindi advisable ikabit sa receiver. kahit na sabihin mo pang controlled ang gamit. dati sa prologic kong onkyo maganda ang tunog at naenjoy ko for years as karaoke amp pero itong 805 kung kelan mas malakas ang pangit ng tunog kahit bawasan ko pa ng highs. plus at risk pa ang hi-fi speakers mo.
invest ka na lang ng karaoke amp/mixer + karaoke speakers like dai-ichi.

Nagkacanvass din ako ng amp and speakers na pang karaoke. ano kaya ang OK na brand and model. 8K lang ang budget for all. :)

plano ko rin magsetup for home use. pero curious lang, bakit hindi advisable ikabit sa receiver? what is the difference between karaoke amp/mixer vs receiver or stereo amplifier? what's the difference between hi-fi speakers vs karaoke speakers?

The price sir. Masmahal ang hifi gears and receiver. For others na mahal ang mga gears, they would prefer to buy a pair ng masmurang speakers, mixer and amp. Ako, i use my HT system for videoke. Probably nasasabi ko yun because compared to others, masmura di hamak ang system ko. But for others na more than P10k ang mga speakers, probably sayang nga. Plus, most receiver nowadays have full processing ng audio and video (even when set at pure both audio & video) so minsan may latency issues.

kinumpara ko ang psb b25 sa aaudio genesis bs for karaoke, mas panalo ang genesis. same setting lang pero ang sagwa talaga ng tunog ng b25 kahit na more than double ang size ng box. ang ok na na enjoy ko for almost 5 years as karaoke speaker ay ang b&w 302. baka mas maganda pa sa karaoke ang mga lumang sansui amp + vintage speakers with 12" woofer.

It's up to you actually kung gusto mo siya ikabit sa existing system mo. Pero kung may latency issues, you can opt to switch it naman to pure direct and native resolution kaso nga lang, wala nang EQing sa audio, and stereo mode lang since 2 channel lang ang mga karaoke systems. Kapag nagka-feedback ka, check your surrouns speakers. You might need to turn it off.

Mabibitin ka talaga sa HT Receivers ngayon when it comes to Videoke. Kahit nga sa music nakakabitin talaga. Hanap kana lang ng decent vintage amp at vintage huge floor stander, swak na swak sa videoke yan! ;D
Nga pala, meron mga around 4K na set na ng amp with mixer at may speaker na din. Ok na yan for videoke. Pero baka namalik mata ako, pero nakalagay talga sa mall ko nakita is set na. Parang PA system ata un. ;D

bro, bitin in what sense? considering Denon receiver (90W/ch) + Polk Audio RTi A3 speakers ang ikakabit, kasi di naman bitin sa music at movies ito.

Sir, mukhang problem talaga ng ibang TV yan. Yung LG ko kahit TV broadcast may lag pag sa TV speakers pero yung RCA out nya wala namang lag pag pinatunog ko sa receiver.
Slight OT: kahit nga mga AV receiver may lag din kaya nakakailang pag ginamit sa videoke. Mukhang dahil sa processing time ng DSP. Pag naka-DIRECT mode naman nawawala yung lag.

for your budget you can go with KOOL 733 amp and an 806 Platinum speaker.
I got mine from game xtreme in raon.

Konzert ang karaoke amplifier ng bayan then a pair of 3 or 2 way speakers worth 4-5k tawad ka na lang my sukli pa yang 8k mo sa raon pambili ng wire at pangtaxi

bro, bitin in what sense? considering Denon receiver (90W/ch) + Polk Audio RTi A3 speakers ang ikakabit, kasi di naman bitin sa music at movies ito.
Ah kung hindi ka na bitin jan sa setup mo for music, thats alll good. Ako kasi hinahanap hanap ko talaga ung setup na kahit anong genre patugtugin mo hindi sasskit ang tenga at ulo mo pag matagal kang nakinig. ;)
Usually s mga vintage gear ko nakukuha ang ganyan. Pero empre malamang meron din modern kaso butad na butas naman ang bulsa mo. ;)

hi, nagpa demo ako ng extreme platinum (medyo pricey @13.9k). sa tingin ko ang advantage nya ay hd ang video using hdmi so pwede lcd/led tv. you can also use the audio of the tv para dun sa bawal sa commander/kapitbahay/kapitkwarto ang maingay. therefore, you may use your excess stereo amp and speakers or vintage gears for your audio. you can also download youtube videoke into your usb and play it to the extreme. enhanced na rin ang mic nya with echo. i just dont know if the background music of the songs are similar to some of wow's music technology na parang full background accompaniment.

marami hd na hard disk base n but kung ang pag uusapan is original songs at license certified dun ka na sa TJ Media sure un maganda un hazzle nga lang yung pag update compare s mga CD based order k lng ng new CD ok na may new songs na... kung CD base k dun k nlng s Megapro astig sounds nun me bold background option pa heheheh

Sa raon, quiapo sir. based on my canvass sa buong hilera ng mga stores, wag ka bumili sa bungad, mas mahal. lakad ka konti,hanapin u Kenwin electronics store or ung medyo gitna puwesto, Blessed Hope store, nagbibigay ng sagad un basta tumawad ka lang.
Options are the following: sakura 735 or 730 amp, worth 4k then pair it with crown speakers ung de dose (12 inches woofer) bf1268 worth 5k. bale 9k lahat, dagdag ka lang ng 1k sa 8k u. ganda tunog nito....or:
konzert 502 amp worth 3,300 then pair it with konzert speakers 12 inches (konzert 655) worth 5,500. bale 8,800 lahat. popular kasi maganda looks nito, presentable ok din naman sound pero matigas lang tunog, unlike ung unang set, malambot.
wag ung db audio, mura nga pero meron nag comment madali dw masira ung magnet ng speakers, ewan kung totoo.
reminder: ingat pala sa mga fake konzert,hehe.class A ang tawag nila d2, ung original kamo sa mga tindera.

hahaha! totoo yun brader, yun mumurahin t-40+ ko ang ganda ng tunog eh (imho), nilagyan ko pa ng phonic mixer para maganda ang effects sa boses at siyempre para tig-isa pa kami ng mic pero pag kantahan na tofu-tofu na yan... ;D
btw brader, yun x-5 nasa 8K-9K ang presyo niyan sa ronquillo, di naman mahirap maghanap kasi cut throat din ang presyuhan dun...

#1 audio question:
can you confirm the optical is lit when you power on? wala kasi yung sakin :(
why i need it:
My AVR an Avantage takes in :
video component out + audio optical
video component out + audio coaxial
i DONT have video component + stereo (left and right)
the component video both works, pero pero walang signal from X5 (audio optical or coaxial )
#2 video question:
for the component out, its 4:3, but i cant find how to change to 16:9. and out put is detected as 480p lang sa myview ko when set at video component out + audio stereo Left + right )

I am still planning to buy a Karaoke player and base on the comparison of Platinum BMB-one and 304p, the tj media player is better at the moment because it uses a more advance sound module than any other playaer as of today.

Gudam sirs,
Planning to build a very simple karaoke set-up for my house, player na lang kulang ko.
Been wanting a Platinum T40 since ok reviews niya, and parating may update na cd for new songs, selling for 6.9k.
Platinum also made another brand, Kool Sound, and their top of the line model is only at 3.8k. Has anyone tried this? Your thoughts pls :)
