Title: beauty and the beast 3d

I recently purchased said title sa astro for 499. I was wondering, before ko buksan, will it play on my non 3d plasma tv? I was tempted to buy, kasi mura na yung 3d bd, kaya lang, hindi nga ako sure kung magplay sya sa non 3d tv.  Yung bd player ko, 3d na htib. Pa advise naman mga gurus, before ko buksan mga nakuha kong 3d bds. Otherwise, ipapapalit ko nalang ng non 3d bds. TIA.  O0

Di yan gagana pag hindi 3D yung tv/monitor mo. To be able to watch it in 3D you will need a 3D hdtv,  a 3d bd player (or an updated PS3) and 1.4 HDMI cable. Pero kung ako sa iyo keep mo na rin yang bd (since P499 lang naman) in case mag-3D TV ka rin sometime.

I bought Beauty and the Beast 3D, too. Wala siyang option to watch in 2D. Unless you have a 3D TV wherein you can turn the 3D off, the you can watch it in 2D.

I believe even if you turn off the 3D feature, it is still unwatchable.  Alam ko mga 3D tvs can convert 2D movies into 3D but no down conversion from 3D to 2D.

I started playing the disc as 3D then I switched the 3D off on the TVs remote control.  The resulting 2D image is perfect naman.

Some 3D discs like IMAX Under the Sea and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs have an option in the disc's main menu whether to play in 2D or 3D. The effect is that they can be viewed using non-3D players and TVs. This is not the case with the local Disney 3D blu ray discs.

pwede. you can turn the tv's 3D feature off and it will show a perfect 2D version of the blu ray.

yun nga lang, di pwede to sa non-3D tvs
