Parehas maganda....hhhmmmmmmm >:D
LUXMAN L-590AX

ACCUPHASE E-600
(http://accuphase.com/model/photo/e-600.jpg)
YUMMY!!
Sinong iboboto mo? >:D
-
Yummy they are, I would probably choose the new best model of accuphase..... Goodluck on your selection brad.
-
Go for Accuphase! :D
-
May phono na at A/B switcher yung Luxman. Mas mura pa sya kesa Accuphase...hhhmmmm...magnda din yung DAC ng Luxman DA-06....HHHMMMMMM... >:D
-
You want to look at E-560 instead, which may be selling already at a hefty discount considering the E-600 has just replaced it. Then add the DAC & Phono boards.
-
discontinued na brader e-560.....have to check with different dealer kung may stock pa sila..
-
Yes, discontinued na but there maybe units pa with international dealers. Based on web discussions, there are only slight differences between the 600 & 560 and mostly on the preamp section. Happy hunting! :)

Changes from the E-560
This time, the differences in appearance are more significant. Not everyone will be happy about the lack of VU-meters, but you can tell that care has been taken to emphasize the change and to draw our attention to the A-65 power amplifier, which together with the A-200 was the basis for the development of the E-600. The following is a list of changes quoted by the manufacturer.
- LED bar graph meters in place of VU-meters
- volume level control:
- high-rigidity precision volume sensor
- extruded from a solid aluminum block, it was originally developed for the C-2820
- the volume knob provides a smoother operation feel than ever before
- AAVA volume control
- the AAVA circuit has been redesigned for further improvement of the S/N ratio
- the low-noise AAVA used in the E-600 is built with parallel buffering and I/U conversion circuits
- low-noise power amplifier input
- E-600’s S/N ratio has been improved by 56% (-5dB) against the E-560
- increased damping factor
- the use of power MOS-FETs in triple parallel configuration together with MCS+ topology and the current feedback principle
- damping factor is 2.5 times higher against the E-560
The power amplifier block is configured with the latest instrumentation amplifier topology, which enables fully balanced signal transmission. Together with MCS+ and the current feedback topology, this makes for even better electrical characteristics. By keeping the impedance of the output circuitry extremely low, constant-voltage speaker drive can be realized, so that the signal remains practically unaffected by speaker impedance. In addition to improved damping factor, intermodulation distortion has been further decreased.
- MOS-FET switches used in protection circuit to prevent contact problems and ensure long-term reliability. Eliminating mechanical contacts from the signal path further enhances sound quality. The protection circuit features ultra-heavy-gauge edgewise coils for minimal impedance. The coil quality is key for amplifier’s operation stability
- E-600 accepts a new DAC-40 board featuring digital inputs; the input sampling frequency is displayed on the front panel
- new balanced power amplifier inputs and preamplifier outputs
- new remote control unit

Dami pala differences. Pero how significant the differences are, that's another matter. :D
You can't go wrong with Accuphase. Another consideration is that even after x number of years, it can still fetch a high resale value.
Plus perfect match pa with your Harbeth. Then use purist audio design ICs (XLRs) & speaker cables, heaven na yan. :)
-
-
May phono na at A/B switcher yung Luxman.
Ayun o! . . . analog na.
May speaker A/B switcher din ang accuphase master.
Watch out for the "Continuum Audio Labs Caliburn vs. Onedof" sinong iboboto nyo thread. ;D
-
Accuphase na ;D >:D
-
Handsdown I'd always choose Accuphase over Luxman although they do have very similar sound characters. I second Marlon's (mbtorn) suggestion. I'd probably pick an E-560 then get the DAC and phono module/s. I am sure for international dealers, the 560's price has been slashed. Good luck!
-

Ako, 28.2kgs for the luxman vs. 24.7kgs for the accuphase >:D. parehas lang naman na pure class A ;D
-
Limited to Class-A only?
-
No BRAINER! Accuphase for me... ;)
-
For new models ...... Accuphase since its still a japan owned product.
Luxman for me would be the vintage signature models and also accuphase.
-
Limited to Class-A only?
tapos same same na sa iba ::)
-
Build quality most likely. Accuphase's is really good - their amps are built to last. Don't know about Luxman.
-

-
If it were the "older" Luxman, I would also consider one. BUT if it's the new production, I will definitely choose Accuphase (assuming I have the budget for it).
Jhameeh, what "sources" would you be using? CD/Computer via DAC?
-
oo malamang digital... ^-^
-
Considering you do not have budget limitations, go for Accuphase. But again I'll stand by my suggestion. If Class A, go for the E560. Otherwise OK also to consider E460. Thanks and good luck!
-
-
ang lupet mo talaga chief jh@meeh, big time..good luck sa hunting. ;)
-
The newer Accuphase models really sounds better than the previous models. They keep on improving and refining the latest ones. I'm expecting the same thing with the latest E-600.
My SHL-5 really sounds good even with E-360 how much more with E-600. ;D
Just read the reviews of Luxman and compare it with the Accu reviews, you will be having an idea which amp to get. ;)
-
prefer the old school look, VU meter based luxman.
parehong malupit ang R&D, Engg at manufacturing background netong dalawa.
sa sound dept, maganda mag AB blind curtain testing using same source/s, speakers...
given the choice, ill get both ;D
-
Luxman ako. Owned the L-550 A2 and it was half the price of the comparable Accuphase.
May built in phono na, which you need to buy an extra module pa for Accuphase.
-
Medyo OP lang po :
I just saw this amp from yamaha's flagship model, pwedeng sumabay sa looks ng accuphase and luxman hehe :)
Sa SQ kaya?

Sa porma, luxman - the champagne gold color seems a bit DOM’ish for me, but I should get over it...on performance, based on vids I’ve seen...accuphase nga yata...parang malayo.
-
I recently got an Accuphase although not class A amp. Compared the sound versus my Class A integrated amps, I have to admit Accuphase is now my preferred integrated amp.
