Title: Help!
Post by: edocampo on Feb 10, 2015 at 11:38 AM
I have an old 3-way spkrs na nasira yung dividing network, I found a pair of crown dividing network lying around pero 2-way lang.

Pwede ko ba syang gamitin kapalit ng nasirang 3-way? If yes, how?

salamat ng marami.

Pwede pero mag iiba ang tunog dahil di naman configured sa ibang speakers. Suggest na find the faulty part of original crossover & replace with same value.

I agree with audiojunkie.  pwede naman pero iba tunog.  if you want to make sure it is compatible, check the values of the old passives if it matches your new one.

Normally, leaking capacitors or naputol na connector lang nasisira sa passives, best bet is to have it repaired nalang.

Ganito na lang bro, visually compare yung x-over na okay at yung nasira. Parang batibot, Hanapin ang naiiba... ;)
Seguro tatlong parts lang yan, capacitors, inductor (coil) at resistor, kung nakita nyo na take note ang value at try to find replacement or donor from old crossover. If you can post pictures mas okay at maraming pares ng mata ang titingin at pwede mag guide next step.
