Post by: qguy on Feb 03, 2016 at 06:06 AM
BOC cloth from Shell Canvas, around 750 php
Wooden frame 1-1/2 x 2 wood - 140 php each, 2 used 4 pcs
Metal Brackets from Ace, around 20 -35 php per pair, I used 6 pairs.

I staple gun to secure the cloth to the frame

Still need to put wooden border on the sides...but for now it works and enjoy na muna :)

Very nice! Black border na lang for the edges. Most people use felt or any cloth na "furry".

Why "furry" ? I was thinking of getting a 1.5 inch wood used for frames and painting it flat Black

Baka pwede na ang black felt paper. Maganda tingnan ang wooden frame kaso hindi flat black tsaka ang paint maski flat black pa magreflecta rin. Yung thickness nun magkaka shadow. Try mo muna sa isang kaputol na frame na gusto mo then paint with what you have in mind then compare with felt paper. Yung felt paper pag maayos pagkadikit halos wlang angat. Walang shadow, mura at madali gawin - praktikal. ;)

Felt cloth or paper is best because they absorb light...

Yes. Ang problem lang sa flat black paint nowadays, may halong fine calcium to make it flat kaya hirap din ma-achieve yun blackness niya.

Sir,
If still searching... you can use the black cloth in covering the speaker box. Cut 3" thick and used glue stick on my DIY 110" BOC.

There are plenty of colors but since BOC is designed for curtains, i doubt that there will be black color. Better call Shell Canvasto be sure

Qguy thats an awesome project you have there. Pang movie marathon yan. Couple of movies plus Beer and popcorn ok na. It sure beat going out and watching movies these days with traffic, parking, cost and not to mention being with other people inside the cinema na walang breeding. Congrats

Bro, may mga black wood tints na parang wood din and it is also flat ang finish. Huwag naman flat black. Hehe! Make it look like a real dark dark antique wood with slightly visible medium shade wood grains. Si Timber magaling diyan!!!

nice ;)

i think that's how to convince the commander of the house :-)
