Ive been a member since the early days of pdvd in 2003. Started my first setup with a nextbase dvd and sakura av387. Finally got to try a yamaha rxv450 as my first proper avr. Then an onkyo 606 and so on in my bedroom HT.

Now its about time to make a dedicated mancave HT. Its a combination of old and new gears.

65” Sony Android TV
Onkyo TXNR-809
Generic 7.1 In wall speakers from ebay. (Still in transit)
Polk Audio sub.
2nd gen apple TV

Update as of today, 4 used theater seats have arrived. Will use a wooden bed frame as platform for the 2nd row. Pre-wired all speakers and using an HT wall plate. The plan is to have no wires dangling, unlike my previous setup. :D An amazon echo dot/broadlink will control the lights and HT equipment.

More pics will be uploaded soon.

Update for today. Seats and carpet has been mounted. Might need to re open the dry wall for additional wiring for future atmos speaker. Better pre wire now than regret later.

Almost done. Just in time during the lock down. Everything is wired and pre wired from PABX, LAN, antenna, cable, signal amplifier.

Just scrapped the in wall speakers and used my old polk audio TSI series for the LCR speakers.

Some things still needed are acoustic foams/treatment. Will do this after the lockdown.

Very nice. Sakto lang yung 65" TV sa space. At yung LCR bookshelf speakers ay sakto din lang IMHO.

Decided to replace the theater seats with recliners. Added some tufted door cladding. Replaced the wood laminates with PVC and wall board.

Next on the list is the wall to wall carpet.
