I think its like a new library much like the criterion releases with spine numbers although i think predator should have been 16.

hi ymeeh.. i was looking at my collection and the only dvds with spine number are the studio classics.. limited edition release like sunrise was not counted..
digipacks don't have individual numbers.. i was thinking about predator tuloy if this is the first release with numbered spine... ??? ??? ???

according to the other forum some have spine numbers like yung fight club and alien pero siguro limited release lang yung may spine number...

Fight Club has two releases.. basically similar in all aspects except the spine..
The only way you can tell the difference is the picture of brad pitt and edward norton interchanged on the spine. so pag side view dude and pix.. malalaman natin ano yung first release and second release.. :)

There have already been two releases? And both have gone OOP? Or the newer version has Edward Norton on top? Mine has Brad Pitt on top, hence, it's the first version? But the newer version isn't due out til October, right? ;D

both dvds have brad pitt on top.. the 2nd release has no edward norton pic (<----i think.. nasa office kasi yung 2nd release dvd ko). i'll know by tomorrow..
i may be wrong but i don't think they are producing a new release.. as far as i know.. both releases are OOP as of today.. :)

i'm not really sure, but i remember reading somewhere years ago that there was a certain release for the Fight Club DVD which had a bar of Fight Club soap packaged with it. not sure if it was R1 or another region's release. that would've been way cool! never saw one though. :P

hi.. i think so.. haven't really checked it til ymeeh brought this to our attention.. hehehe. :) the abyss has the 2-disc collector's edition sticker on the shrink wrap , similar sticker found on fight club. my moulin rouge has no spine number too.. no sticker also..

the other forum says that moulin rouge 2-discs has been discontinued last Feb 2004.

i am confirming the manifestation of the King of OOPs, my Fight Club copy has in fact a no. 9 on its spine....and so also with my copies of All About Eve, Gentleman's Agreement, How Green Was My Valley and The Grapes of Wrath, they all have their corresponding nos. on their spines

from what i've read from the other forum... the Five-Star Collection are now OOP like yung cleopatra na 3 discs although available pa rin sha on some online stores.
i haven't really read anything re a rerelease of all the five-star collection for the Collector's Series...

Good to know.. at least pandagdag sa OOP, hehe.. which forum is it you're referring to? I checked the list at dvdreview.com and it doesn't look updated at all. ???

5 star collection and the collector's series have the same features.. FOX just tweaked the package a little bit... i suggest buy only the dvds in the collector's series which are oop already in the 5 star collection or regular special edition release. :)

This is confirmed for FOX Collector's Edition DVDs (as I see it with FOX's CEs in retail stores.. the numbers are there).
Try checking out FOX's "New releases/Re-releases Collector's Editions" lower left spines, it indicates what number amongst its library.
Below is the sample of the new numbering system by FOX to its Collector's Edition Library

jus got my copy from amazon.com (US) it has a number 9 on the spine. i believe the new released ones have this on its spine of the collector's series. members, pa -complete list naman jan oh. or any sites maybe? ???

Some of them na meron din sa japan as ultimate editions have the same features and both have dts and dolby and both have very nice PQ and SQ. But the japan have better packaging. Tumigil na kasi sa digipak ang R1. Yung mga later release of numbered spine puro keepcase nalang with slip case. Mas maraming ok na release for japan. Like premium editions, ultimate edition,perfect collection. All are in digipak with very high bit rate. :)
