Don't know much about the inner workings of tubes....but just one nagging question vaccum tubes were made in the 50's right so these days there are still manufacturers who make brand new vaccum tubes? or are we relying on the stock from the 50's sorry if this sounds silly ;D

The tube complements for this amp are easily attainable so don't worry of having a hard time looking for replacement tubes. in regards to your question..there are some using dynaco st-70s to power their sonus faber concertinos  :)

The Prima Luna claims that it is servicable by end users no need to go to the shop to get matching tubes. It calls it an auto bias circuit if i remember.  I'll audition this today...I found a shop that sells it and the sonus faber concertino they're willing to sell it for a 25% downpayment and 0% interest on the balance payable in 10 to 11 months pretty good deal what do you guys think?

I'm located in the UK kasi so the store I was talking about is located here....don't know back home if there are any stores which have it.  I already auditioned it and the sound was so amazing! my wife who doesn't know an amplifier from a blender who was with me at the time was also amazed at how detailed and smooth the amp sounded.  If you ever find a store which has it give it a listen it will be worth it....keep me posted if you find a store back home which has it so I can compare the price with the one here baka napapamahal ako eh di pagbalik na lang ng pinas ako bibili....... i am not aware of any store carrying that brand locally. however, at that price point it will have a lot of competitors here.

got a taste of what this amp has to offer thru the kindness and hospitality of Eric Lim (Audio Den) .... it rocks  :o

inside you will find premium parts like Solens and Nichicons and with its auto bias circuitry, it is a very user friendly amp.
