just found this while surfing and viola!! A 1.57% further reduction from AMAZON. attached is the letter link..
since you've been using A9.com recently, virtually everything at Amazon.com is automatically an additional π/2% (1.57%) off for you. Collecting this discount is zero effort on your part. It will be applied automatically at checkout (it will happen whether you use the shopping cart or our 1-Click Shopping®). You don't need to do anything to get this discount except keep using A9.com as your regular search engine.

Go to Amazon, and find their A9 web search box on the left hand side. A9 is their answer to Google.
Do a web search, and then return to Amazon. The Amazon.com logo should have pi/2% next to it.
You now have an extra 1.57% off, not much but, its still more $ in your pocket than you would have had.

i tried it when i ordered my seinfeld gift set.
seemed to work, but dvd will be out pa on nov 23 kaya i wouldnt know if the discount will still take effect by then.

bro.. it works. i have used it for two shipped orders so far and the only concern i have is you cannot combine orders with applied discount with other orders. initially, i was allowed by amazon to alter/combine my orders but when i requested for another set of orders to be combined, they refused firmly.
plus the A9 discount cannot be removed from my PC.. Amazon confirmed that it stays with my account and would be automatically integrated during checkout... anyone experienced this??

sorry for the confusion.. simply put, i am referring to orders where the A9 discount have been applied. these orders can't be combined with other orders but can be cancelled anytime. also, you may combine GCs and STL with A9 discount.. :)
not sure though about the removal of the A9 feature in from one's PC system.. having a hard time removing mine.. i may have to create a new account for convenience..

I've placed 2 orders with Amazon na meron automatic A9 discount. Yes you are right Mr H... parang permanent na ata siyang nasa pc ko.
Not that I'm complaining kaso what if meron bigger discount coupon... sayang naman if we can't use it because of the A9 thingie di ba.

OIC....thanks bro. November & December are the best months for new dvd releases to order at amazon.com. But due to holiday season....the shipping delivery is slow.

a new reason to rejoice and enjoy affordable dvds nowadays.. ma-chachallenge ang mga marketplace sellers natin yan..

regarding a9 discount, i always use the a9 websearch at least thrice a week so amazon can update my usage. make sure also that you have logged in first (before searching) for proper account credits.

Yes it still does work. You just have to use it regularly in order for it to be re-activated.

You have to use A9.com regularly. Try searching at A9.com for a few hours then open another window for amazon.com. :)

Btw dapat 2 windows tapos i-log out mo muna. Unahin mo mag log in sa A9.com tapos log in ka sa amazon.com pag ayaw vice versa. :)

I don't think you can temporarily turn it off. Unless offcourse you stop using it and it deactivates in a weeks time.

but i still see the A9 Instant Reward logo on the top-left portion of the amazon page.... ok, after trying to check out an item, promo is indeed over. good thing i've already placed my discounted orders from oct to dec ;)
could this be related to the new design of A9 which started last weekend? you cant login from their site anymore, so your amazon account is no longer recognized by A9. i guess they only needed the attention and now people are already familiar with it, thanks to amazon shoppers.
