Well NAD320 will be available anytime soon. Other NAD products will be released together with it. As for Klipsch, check-out our new Silver and White Quintet.

While Definitive has even lowered its price tag. While Sherwood still the most affordable Receivers in the branded one.

We are also the distributor of the Mondial Aragon equipment which are THX Ultra 2 certified. We are also already involved in the Professional Audio and our brands are KLipsch Professional, CRATE Audio, and AMPEG.

wow, ur prices for the NAD are quite reasonable! although mas mura dito sa sing ng konti (as expected, i guess nothings beats sg and hk prices for certain eqpt), the diff is not that great! id say that ur prices are very competitive!

sayang nung andyan ako sa pinas, sobrang patong yung prices nung NAD eqpt from other sources. hope u get lots o business!

I went to your shop in Rockwell to check out some receivers unfortunately only the 741 was available. I was thinking of getting the 752 and the price is within my budget. Sayang I did not wait a little longer, anyway sa next upgrade ko nalang. Your saleperson is very accommodating but I forgot his name. Comment ko lang, sana more demo CD so we can really hear the NAD sound. MP3 disc was the only available material so I was not able to audition properly. Im on a hunt now for a good CD or CD changer. What do you recommend and how much? Thanks

Post by: Archangel on Jun 13, 2003 at 06:13 PM: Is somebody else interested in the NAD C321i cd player? Maybe we can let redkoji know here so he'll be able to estimate demand better. I called them up and they only have the 541i in their next shipment.

I would really prefer they get the 521i for these reasons:

1.) it would be be a better match for the rest of my system which are all entry level components: Wharf 8.1s and NAD c320BEE.

2.) the 4,000 peso price difference I fear would not justify the added features and sonic improvement if any. First, HDCDs are not widely available. Second, the sonic improvement, if any, would not very evident in my system.

3.) I want to wait out the format wars with a good entry level cd player.

Do I hear an "Amen?"

yup. i was there, i believe, wednesday. we hooked up my AMX 8wpc tube amp to the RF7 speakers using the NAD521i as source.

inspite of the fact that the RF7 speakers have not much hours on it (& the amp not even warmed up), the speakers sounded great! the drum track that we played sounded lifelike that a lot of people took notice & stopped to take a closer listen. :D

if i only had the moolah... :-\

After that I'd have to turn the receiver on and off completely before it would work again. The sales person who attended to me said that it was the defective chip that was in the first batch of units that came. Mine happened to be included in that first batch. Sir Redkoji said the repair/upgrade of the chip is free of charge as it is under warranty and is a defect that they have already informed customers of.

ganjaman- there was no technical staff around to assist me at the time I was there, which was around 230. A sales guy attended to me and he had no idea as to the procedures of repair. All I have to go on is the post of redkoji

We don't have any manuals yet on the proceedure of upgrading the T762. We will check it out for you...but most of the time, we recommend that if an item is not broke...don't change anything since we might damage some parts pa in the process

After about a week and a half ar Studio Systems, I finally am glad to say that once again I am a happy owner of an NAD T752 ;D After a couple of days from dropping of my unit, I called sir redkoji and he informed me that to avoid delays in repairing my reciever, they would just replace it with a new one. Then a few days ago, sir redkoji posted online that my new unit would be available for pick up on tuesday. I went there yesterday to pick it up, but due to a little problem, I was not able to bring my new unit home. Today, however, I was informed by Reggie, an assistant of sir redkoji, that my new, sealed in box, unit would be available for pick up. I am breaking it in now, as we speak :) :)

So, as a review of the after sales service of Studio Systems, I have to say, they were pretty good :) Slight glitch, but I am satisfied. I just hope my new unit has no further bugs.

"Over the last 30 years NAD has built a solid reputation for delivering best value products to the market. NAD boasts a 'no gimmick, music first' approach to its product range. The T512 DVD Player and the T742 Receiver continue to uphold these transitions by concentrating on straightforward functionality and sound engineering.

Picking up the T742 you could be mistaken for believing this is a mid-priced receiver, as it steps up to the mark at 14.2kg and the build quality has not been compromised by budget constraints.

It employs Crystal Sigma-Delta ADCs/DACs with 96kHz/24 bit resolution and a Crystal DSP processor, so it's easy to see the money has been spent where it counts. This is a well-matched pair. The T512 DVD player supports DVD, CD and MP-3 formats, and has all the connections to keep the most demanding audiophile happy. When playing CDs this DVD player is very comfortable in the company of quality stand-alone CD players.

Set-up was particularly straightforward. The T742 manual provides all the necessary information in just 13 pages, no mean feat considering the inherent complexity of today's home cinema receivers.

The technology has been put to good use; the T742 recognises a Dolby Digital or DTS input and processes it accordingly. For other inputs you can manually scroll through the available surround sound formats. This combo was dropped into a system using KEF THX reference speakers, and I really expected to quite quickly expose power supply limits. I was pleased to find I was quite wrong, the power just poured out, delivering a dynamic wall of coherent sound. NAD employs its PowerDrive technology for the power supply, and this certainly seems to translate into a real world advantage.

Playing this system in two-channel stereo was like being reunited with an old friend, hi-fi stereo. Personally I'm not a fan of DSP simulations, but I have to concede that ProLogic II is a very useful addition when viewing two-channel source material. Whilst watching a Sky Digital broadcast I was very impressed with the separation of surround channel information.

The on-board tuner usefully supports RDS technology: at present six of Auckland's 20 station, and two National Radio sites outside Auckland, use the service. The tuner delivered a clean performance on all fronts, easy to set up and easy to listen to.

Features and Circuitry
The NAD S 570 provides the best in available components: True 24 bit/192kHz DAC custom designed for NAD by renowned supplier Wolfson, ultra low-noise wide bandwidth Burr-Brown op-amps and associated analogue circuitry are all part of the S 570’s impressive component specification. Unusual for a DVD player, Burr-Brown (OPA 2134) op-amps are used to provide music playback via the analogue output that can easily surpass that of the digital connection. These premium analogue components are fed from an independent, highly regulated linear power supply for optimal performance. Furthermore, the high quality DAC, associated circuitry and HDCD decoder mean that the S 570 will play back your existing CD collection to perfection, often sonically outperforming the newer, but struggling, DVD-A and SACD formats. Even MP-3 encoded CD-R’s are presented with astounding realism.

Both a coaxial and optical digital output is provided to accommodate virtually all types of processors and receivers. Using precision 75 ohm buffer transformers, the S 570’s digital output interfaces optimally with cables and processor inputs for lowest possible digital jitter. Keeping signal paths short and direct to minimize any interference, the 10 bit Video DACs running at 54MHz are capable of reproducing the finest picture detail, where black is truly black and with vivid colors extremely faithful to the original.

The Component Video outputs (Y, Cr, Cb) sports Progressive Scan to get the most out of the latest high-end video monitors and projectors with significantly increased resolution when compared to standard, interlaced video. For video displays without Component Video input, the SCART (which supports RGB) and S-Video connectors still offer superior video performance. By use of an intuitive On-Screen-Display the S 570 is easy to set up and operate.

Besides superb performance, the NAD S 570 also offers a wide range of facilities such as Multi- Angle*; Multi-Sound*; Multi- Subtitle*; Frame; Zoom and Repeat. All these facilities can be easily accessed with the supplied remote control. On top of the traditional functions like Play, Stop, Skip, the front panel also includes cursor control buttons so that the S 570 can still be operated for the most important functions when the remote control is not readily available.

Flexibility
The NAD S 570 comes with ample connection flexibility: With both an optical and coaxial digital output, interfacing to an AV surround sound receiver or processor will be easy. It will be difficult to find a video display to which the S 570 cannot connect, choose either Video Composite, S-Video, Component and SCART (with full RGB signal). For home-automation and custom install purposes, the S 570 can be switched On and also to Stand-by remotely by 12V trigger and/or by connecting to the IR input.

The UK's What Hi-Fi? has given our new C352 a warm welcome. Here are some excerpts from a comparative review that likens the C352 to the Rocky storyline: "There were more than a few eyebrows raised when NAD?s earlier incarnation of this amplifier, the C352, failed to claim its customary constellation of stars. NAD has such a fine pedigree in this class that anything less than the full five rating is almost unheard of. Well, the boys at NAD went back to the drawing board, made some circuitry changes, and we?re pleased to say that normal service has now been resumed: the updated C352CT is another outstanding and affordable amplifier from NAD.

The uncomplicated styling is true to form, though for the first time there?s a choice in finishes ? the gunmetal grey we?ve come to associate with NAD and the new titanium finish you see here. There are a few question marks over the external build quality ? the speaker terminal in particular are stiff and awkward ? but a lot of effort has gone into the internal technology.

Beneath the exterior beats 80W output per channel aided by NAD?s PowerDrive? circuit topology ? design to sense speaker impedance and regulate power so that the RMS power into 8 ohms and 4 ohms is constant. Another NAD proprietary feature that?s included is Soft Clipping, a selectable function that gently transforms the music waveform as the point of clipping (or distortion) approaches, giving a clearer quality of reproduction and as well as protecting your loudspeakers.

Connection-wise there are seven line inputs ? including two tape in/outputs ? which carry short signal paths from input to output. And there are two preamp outputs, so the unit can be used as a preamp in conjunction with a larger power amp. There?s also a set of preouts to allow biamping with suitable speakers.

Of the changes made the most important are improvements to the DC servo circuit, which succeed in tightening up the bass response. We criticized the C352CT?s predecessor for its ponderous presentation and clumsy low frequencies, but there are no such complaints following these improvements. With the original C352, NAD confesses the complementary transistors that provide the push and pull for the bass drivers weren?t working satisfactorily. The introduction of a high speed servo circuit seems to have solved this problem.

The upshot of all this techno-tinkering is a vastly improved sound performance. The presentation still carries plenty of weight, but low frequencies have been toned up and no longer sound bloated. Play some bass heavy hip-hop from the Elephunk album and notes remain solid and composed, even in the face of fierce, head-nodding abuse from the Black Eyed Peas. There are brains to rival the brawn, too, and the impressive resolution is equally adept at identifying musical subtleties ? listen to the latest Air album, Talkie Walkie, and the C352CT unearths every ounce of ambient finesse the french do have to offer. There refined sound is always in control without restraining the music in any way, and this ability extends to an endlessly eclectic range of music.

The bass may be powerful and the treble true and textured, but it?s the clear and precise midrange and smooth integration of these element that are the amplifier?s most prized assets. Vocals are delivered with real expression that conveys emotion and atmosphere. MC Solaar?s French rapping on his Mach 6 album is filled with so much feeling that you almost forget you?re listening to a different language ? bien sur!

What we liked most about the overall presentation is the unguarded sense of space that?s created by the sound: individual instruments are given freedom to breathe without compression or confusion. And superb detail only emphasizes the open sound stage, exploring the delicate intricacies that lesser amplifiers fail to expose. Another area worthy of praise is a rhythmical sense of timing that?s guaranteed to get your toes tapping.

In our review of the earlier C352, we likened the amplifier to a heavyweight champion who?d slugged out one to many rounds. But in true Rocky storyline style, following some intensive rehabilitation, the rejuvenated C352CT has successfully returned to the ring and restored NAD?s amplifier reputation.

All Studio Systems brands being distributed are covered by 1 year warranty on labor and parts. However this warranty does not extend to any damage resulting from misused, tampering, neglect or abuse and other natural causes ( example : Insect have infested the said product or the unit was soaked in water during a flood on owner's property)

Immediate replacement of product which is not functioning shall be subject to pre-evaluation. If the evaluation results show that its inherent defect due to craftmanship of design flaws this will be replaced by a new unit of the same model. Refund of payment will be subject to evaluation of the State of Condition of the product and the completeness of packaging material and accessories.

Providing service unit or Home service is case to case basis and mostly limited wherein Studio Systems is the one who design and do the installation.

We hope this clarify the matter

this must be known by all pinoydvd members so that they'll have second thoughts or at least a warning when buying NAD products.

Yes you can do more. You can start by not dismissing myki's case as one of abuse based on a hunch. And based on a hunch you wouldn't honor the warranty. That's what's hard for me to swallow.

Because how can a generic cd-r damage a cd player? I have never found anything on the web that generic cd-rs can ruin a player's eletronics. If you have an explanation, I'd be glad to hear it. You'll probably come across "CDR unbalance" but that ruins the motor gradually and over time. That has no effect on the electronics. Maybe its possible that poor quality discs can indeed ruin a player's electronics but show us some proof. And if you haven't got any, you're not really sure that the unit was misused. Good service and common sense should have led you to give Myki the benefit of the doubt.

And since you cannot guarantee when the repair can be made, then the least you can do is to give myki a brand new replacement unit. INSTEAD. Not in the meantime.

But if you consider for a moment that customers who shell out large sums of money for your product are not one to go to the trouble of bringing a defective unit to take advantage of you, which you so promptly assumed, you would easily see the merits of his claim.

But no, you'd rather minimize those claims by assuming the worst of the clients that bought your products. You can hide behind those warranty clauses about misuse and abuse, and save a few dollars on the claim, but you have lost the high regard we have on your dealership.

On the CD-R and CD-RW causing damaged to the player a separate report will also be issued on it.

We acknowledged that wrong information was given to Mr. Ronald during phone conversation with Mr. mKYi and that?s the reason why, Mr. Ronald said to Mr. mKYi, ?that part his Technical staff will answer his question on the No Audio Out.? .

Redkoji, the results are what matter. If your actions or inactions create negative impressions on the mind of a customer, that can be a little difficult to correct later on. And it takes only one bad incident to ruin a good reputation or impression built-up over the years. Regaining lost customer goodwill requires so much more effort, time and expense than winning new ones. And you may not even win new ones if word of mouth from lost customers is strong.

red, i am pretty sure av_phile mentioned everything that some forummers here have in mind... I, too, am a NAD fan - - and, honestly, reading these negative feedbacks makes me think over my next NAD purchase/s (should I still consider buying locally sold NAD products?)...hhhhmmmm.

I just hate brand carriers/distributors/dealers who'd readily leave/hide-behind-warranty-clause/ignore/unreasonably reason out/abandon/defer/delay/put-off/avoid (whichever is the right term) their clients once a problem on their sold unit comes out... especially sa mga knowledgeable customers like us (modesty aside) who - at times - are more informed of the products' electronics than the sellers.

I am a member of other local audio enthusiast groups and god knows how many more are monitoring this forum with NAD fanatic friends as well - - issues like this will hurt companies reselling NAD products if this is not solved pleasantly.

To quote avp "...I think your apology is best served with the proper actions. ...Redkoji, the results are what matter".

And again a quote in the corporate sales world... "it takes 6 months to find a customer, it only takes 6 seconds to lose one" or "it costs millions to win clients, it only takes a few droplets of saliva to lose billions (from walking away clients)".

They are located along G. Bocobo street in Manila if I remember correctly. Been there more than 3 times.
Had a Pro Monitor 80 speaker and Pro Sub 80 subwoofer checked and repaired. All these were bought from the first DefTech distributor in the Philippines and are two years old at the time they were brought in.
The Pro Monitor had the bass speaker replaced for a price. The sub woofer wouldn't work at my place for no apparent reason. I had them look at it and run tests for two weeks. It came back well and in perfect working order minus any repair charge since no work was performed on it

My friend, who also had his Pro Sub 80 repaired was not charged for the service although, deftech themselves had a hand in it. He too, bought the items from the first distributor of the items.

I would say our experience with their after sales support (even after distro suport) is excellent

The PRO SUB that I got earlier suddenly stopped working and the unit is with KEVLAR who is also an active member here in the forum... can someone post the contact persons to get this fixed ???

After my subwoofer service request, I've had a Pro Monitor 80 bass driver replaced for 2,500Php.
My other Pro Monitor 80 has also been over driven by my old Yammie RX-V995
The amp is clipping during loud playback, I really have to get higher rated mains. ::)

All of these auditoriums utilize advanced technologies that enhance the look and sound of the films, comfy leather chairs, greater space between rows and higher stadium seating for uninterrupted viewing.

“In order to create the ideal place to watch films, I believe it’s necessary to provide customers with a luxurious and artistic environment that utilizes the industry’s best technology,” Coltman said.

Cinetopia uses only the best technology for its film presentations.

Cinetopia's "living room" theaters provide food and wine service.

While the grand auditorium features Klipsch KPT-MCM-4-T Grand behind-the-screen systems (the first and only fully horn-loaded, THX®-Certified four-way cinema design), KPT-1201 surrounds and dual KPT-684 subwoofers, the smaller theaters are outfitted with a variety of other Klipsch products. Inside the cozy, more intimate living room theaters, the Klipsch speakers do more than just deliver lifelike sounding movie presentations; they also support the live musicians who perform during intermissions.

According to Coltman, he hired experts to ensure the highest level of sound quality inside his complex. “My designers and I uniformly agreed that Klipsch offered the finest sound presentation in the industry so it was a clear choice who we would go with,” he said.

Scott Hicks of American Cinema Equipment Inc., the company responsible for handling Cinetopia’s A/V installations, said he has received several compliments regarding the cinema’s amazing sound capabilities. “I’ve gotten calls from patrons who are so impressed with the sound that they ask where they can buy Klipsch for their homes.” Hicks also mentioned that Klipsch is by far, the number one speaker brand in sales volume at his company.

Guests from all over the country visit Cinetopia, including employees of major movie studios and film companies in L.A. Coltman said Cinetopia’s success couldn’t be better and that it is getting tons of great press and support from the local community. Holding future cinema plans, Coltman hopes to keep an on-going relationship with Klipsch so that he can always offer “the best in sound” to his customers.
