Own any DVDs which, for one reason or another, you'll probably never watch, and yet will never dispose of?
excluding duplicates, and other titles you are keeping sealed to preserve original packaging
-
hmmm this topic got me thinking...
Indiana Jones Bonus Disc -- just because its part of the box set. ;)
-
i forgot to exclude bonus discs. hehehe.
i know i've got some titles which fall under this category. i just probably haven't admitted it to myself yet. :)

I have an unrated edition of Requiem for a Dream sitting in my room in my parents' house. Got it 3 years ago, but I actually wanted the director's cut (my friend got the wrong one).
It's still there, sealed. I don't want to open it just to watch it (I've seen the movie, I want to see the director's cut!). But I don't think I'll sell it, either - unless of course, I manage to get my hands on the DC. :P

Wait Until Dark, starring Audrey Hepburn. Bought it to start sana a collection of her movies, yun nga lang na-stuck sa isang DVD nya, ;D. Maybe in the future I can continue with the collection
-
R1 Terminator 2 DD slipcase version (THX), reasons:
1.) bec. I have the DTS-ES version
2.) bec. I bought it for only P50.00 from a migrating friend
3.) cant sell it cuz its got their family name written on the cover with BIG letters, using pentel pa!
;D ;D ;D

Well, I gotta disagree with you in this, man. I think The Wicker Man's one of the better (best, could be a little too extreme) British horror films to date. It's eccentricity could surpass that of anything David Lynch, and the finale is one of the creepiest I've seen.

There's nothing creepy about the finale. Your post got me really curious & this time I watched from beginning until the end (the extended edition). Well, not my taste. For me it's a crap but glad u like it. I'm selling off my set now :-[

Got the Wicker Man LE. just glanced the first part and placed the disc back to its holder. nice to watch in the wee small hours of the morning or during midnight.

Yup, I won't blame you for that :) films are acquired taste :)
Hm, is the LE the one with the additional 15(?) minutes footage edited from the theatrical release?

The wicker man LE comes with both editions: the theatrical & extended edition :)

That's a nice boxed set. What I have is the Region 2 UK 2-Disc release (i believe the only existing version with the unedited footage).
I think the LE is already OOP. Since it's a rare dvd, why the need to sell it? :)

This is very funny for me, because ever since I bought the boxed set, it's only the bonus disc that I've watched. The rest have never even been in my player, since I've already seen the films dozens of time on Beta, VHS and widescreen LD, anyway.
So many discs to watch, so little time... ;D
-
l have the ff. dvds coz my bro bought it but i can't seem to get myself to watch it.
1. Crade 2 The Grave
2. Dukes of Hazzard
3. Ocean's 11
4. Ocean's 12
5. Joe Dirt
6. Stephen Poliakoff's The Lost Prince
7. Carlito's Way- Rise To Power
8. Saved
Maybe they suck big-time ;) or just plain boring.

The Lord of the rings trilogy EE. Watched the theatrical version, liked them...got the EE but since there are so many good films out there, can't find the time to watch all three EE... but will someday (maybe this lenten break?) so can't dispose of them yet...
Walt Disney Treasures tins (many of them), bought them for their collectible (and sad to say, display value), so won't open them anytime soon...

Seems kind of pointless getting a DVD movie and not having to open the case or watch it ??? , but I guess some people just have their reasons :-\
-
i guess it's for collections sake or spur of the moment when shopping.
-
Or just plain forgetting that you bought it. And it gets hidden from sight forever....
