Which DVD's have the best special features like documentaries on the film, inclusion of the original film if it is a remake, meaty featurettes on the movie, interviews,...?
-
hindi po ito dvd pero based on my experiece ang pinak maganda at pinaka madami kong nakitang special features ay galing sa LD na 007:goldeneye special 50th anniv edition ata .......may history at yung mga chicks nandun din simula nung una

LOTR Platinum Editions

yung documentary sa Spider-Man 2 DVD sa disc 2. Very informative yung Making-Of nila, and it covered every aspect of the film from the story to the visual effects :)
-
Star Wars Trilogy (IV, V, VI)- The Empire of Dreams documentary is very comprehensive too. The only major thing lacking are the deleted scenes
-
Alien Quadrilogy. You could spend a couple of weeks watching and reading all the extras, commentaries, script drafts, etc. ;)
-
Snow White SE
Disc 2 contained not only the making of the film, but the history of Disney itself. Some portions were even hosted by Walt's nephew! :)
-
yup... snow white disc 2 told us about the disney company ..definitely one of the best, if not the best dvd with special features. havent seen the golden eye referred to above yet

You said it! And I haven't even accessed all the features in disc 2 yet!

Most of the time I hardly have the time to watch all the special features...it takes time & patient noh ;D

Same here. But it's still one of the things I look at before buying dvds! ;D ;D

I have this notion that the more special features in a DVD, the better its overall value. But I rarely get the chance to view all of a DVDs special features. But if theres one feature that I always watch, its the deleted scenes. I don't know why, i'm just drawn to it
-
the only special features that i watched were the LOTR Platinum editions ;D ------ obvious ba fave film ko? kasi naman pinagtiyagaan ko basahin ang the hobbit, fotr, tt and rotk prior to watching the film..... so i really liked the adaptation PJ did
otherwise...... parang its more value for your money kasi if you see that the dvd has loaded special features rather than buying the barebones edition..........
besides.....nakakaaliw hanapin if there is an easter egg hidden in the dvd features ;D
-
Hands down...The Lord of the Rings Platinum Edition. The only DVDs whose features I fully watched...twice! I hope that the King Kong DVD would be just as comprehensive and interesting to see.
-
No question... Lord of the Rings PSSE. The best, man!
-
Sure winner for all LOTR films
include also the theatrical 2 disc editions. They have different features over the extended editions which are very helpfull. But I don't usually watch special features. No time kasi. Yung mismong features film nga hindi ko matapos at nakakatulugan yung Special features pa. ;D Well for me I would buy the dvd for the PQ-highest bit rate ,SQ-full bit rate.
-
I'd like to include National Treasure for it's special 'Treasure Hunt' featurette in its disc-2 - very fun and original concept. ;)
-
snow white really is loaded,
wizard of oz too
star wars trilogy also,
lord of the rings also
but im waiting for the double disc seven samurai
-
King Kong 1933 has very interesting documentaries produced by Peter Jackson & co. Also a must watch for fans of the 2005 Kong, IMO. :)
-
agree with you jas.. labor of love with profit..
