What's the stupidest DVD you ever bought? One that made you really angry at yourself for making an impulse purchase?

no regrets in all the dvds that i bought......if theres one that is closest....it's hell's angels (1930) due to the picture quality

OT: Any other way to prevent such spammer other than moderator personally approving each and every new registrant?
BT (back to topic):... I can't think of any at the moment... I am sure I bought a bunch of stupid titles (as I am sort of an impulse buyer)... but with those, I probably forgot about them, gave it away, or throw it away, rather than remember the $$$ I blew. :)
On second thought, I think some of those exercise videos and "Girls goes wild" stuff (which turns out to be lame) does count as stupid...

Lion King, Cinderella and Alladin Box Sets.
Here's why:
(1) I learnt that not everyone on ebay/amazon can be trusted. Ordered Cinderella on Amazon through a 2nd degree seller and it did not arrive.
(2) Owning Lion King and Alladin did not give as much satisfaction as owning a copy of "Hidden" or "M".

Believe me, once you've been doing this moderating job for a while and you've deleted hundreds of those, you think of things to do other than deleting them just to amuse yourself. ;D
I've bought a lot of stupid DVDs, but usually intentionally (like the Killer Tomatoes movies and the Cheerleaders boxed set). If there are DVDs I regret buying, they would include the Battlestar Galactica Original Series Cylon Head Edition, the Alexander HK 3 Disc LE, and the R3 Spider-Man 2 Gift Set. They just made me realize I'm not one who appreciates pretty packaging and certificates and toys, but rather, one who just wants the film and the special features - in as SLIM a package as possible.

it's both SCARY and STOOPID. it's so stupid, i'm even selling it at P150 and no one wants to buy it.

For me, it's Adaptation that was released by Viva Home. I wasn't well-informed back then and was starting my collection. The picture quality is the same as VCD, fullscreen, no subtitles and chapter selection.
Ever since, I've been wary abut Viva releases especially obscure and foreign film release. It just not worth it even if its a bargain.

i was about to say basically the same thing. not the same title... but the PQ is really way off. had been wary of Viva bargain releases since then.

Bad Boys (region 3 Sony Home Entertainment)
-not because of the movie itself, but because of the picture quality as well as the special features. My jack sparrow version had better video quality plus it had Music Videos..
All my movies from "C-INTERACTIVE"
-I bought 4 movies (same day) with all crappy VQ.. I'll never recommend DVD's that have that mark.... yuck!!! :P

5 songs, not a real concert really. was just so hyped to have an original line up concert dvd that i did not bother checking the specs and ordered it from amazon right away. tapos ginamit ko pang shipping option yung 2-4 days. :'(

The Seeker: The Dark is Rising.
It was an insult to the book >:( Watched it once right after buying, then stowed it out of sight for months due to annoyance ... then watched it again last Sunday in the hope that it would be better the second time around. It was even worse, if that's possible. Grrr.

Sorry for answering just now. Try to watch it...video was like it was taken from VHS, audio in sucky 2 channel. These were just splices of certain horror movies which looked like it was done by an amateur with a vhs recorder. >:(

Trust me, after watching this, ma-aappreciate mo ang Borat. ;D

- not the movie itself kasi napanuod ko to nung bata pa ko sa tv at talagang tumimo sa isipan ko yun pagka-enjoy ko sa pelikula. i hate what they did sa DVD, 200 yata sa Astro nung una kong makita, sa likod e nakalagay yun mga special features; deleted scenes, subs, etc.
