Limited Edition? I hope it comes in a slipcase or lenticular cover art, as with other Warner Limited Editions.

sabi rin pala sa akin ng taga-Astro na nagbigay nung leaflet sa akin, 2-Disc daw ito.. But looking at the features, which are almost identical with the R2 na single disc (so is the R1), feeling ko single disc rin lang 'to..

Based on the R3 features listed in the picture above, it looks like our version has two features missing in the R1, particularly "Creating the Tap" and "Behind the Scenes of Happy Feet", while the R2 versions seems to be missing the 2 music videos (Gia's & Prince's). The R1 has a DD-EX5.1 track, though. Hopefully ours will have one too. Well, it's possible that this could be a 2-disc edition.

saw a copy in Landmark today, with stickerbook and a sticker ad for a raffle of a Dancing Mumble toy, no slipcase, no lenticular cover...

Was it just shrink wrapped like Charlie & the Chcoclate Factory with notebook?

yes sir and I think predominantly white yung cover (unlike the r1 release which is predominantly blue) with mumble in the foreground and the amigos in the background...

Hhhmmm....I wonder why Warner didn't treat this with better packaging considering this was one of their biggest hits last year.

I mean this even made more money than The Departed.

I think its Oscar win will make Warner reconsider. I think this release was conceived before Happy Feet was nominated. Now that it has unexpectedly won (even George Miller said in an interview that he was caught off-guard), I won't be surprised if a more feature-packed release will hit stores in the near future.

Dang! Just when I was so excited to get this, I saw naman this (http://global.yesasia.com/en/prdTransfer.aspx/pid-1004689049/).

I just hope Warner won't do another The Departed, with one major feature missing, in this release.

Both these featurettes are available in the local version.  Nice DK Publishing sticker book.  Quite a steal for P550, IMHO.   ;D

Yes pangit ang packaging...hehe but featurettes are nice. I like "I Like to Singa", its an old caroton I use to watch when I was small, I'm glad it appeared on the dvd.  ;D

got a copy las week, dont know bout the cover print out but for me this is a good buy since its only 550 for a new release considering this one got the "Best Animated" award in the oscars.  sana nga lang meron dts.... ;D

Except for the distracting "Best Animated Feature Film" sign on the cover, I think the printing quality of the cover art is okay naman. Not blurred and doesn't look cheap or pirated. The stickers in the sticker book, though, have lots of off-set prints. I must admit, I spent a good 30 minutes yesterday finishing the sticker book. It brings back childhood memories (I had a Care Bears sticker book when I was in prep). After finishing it, I tried to insert the book in the built-in clips inside the DVD, but the book was too wide for the DVD case. Oh well, it was nevertheless a good 30-minute trip to yesteryears.

Excellent movie but very slim special features. For a 2-disc set, no in-depth making of material is included.

I agree. for a 2-disc movie, the special features kinda leaves you wanting for more. But it seems to have the same features as the R1 release at a lower price. FYI, according to the packaging, it also Dolby Surround 5.1 sound.

Dolby Digital 5.1 EX, to be exact.

Saw this in the theater so there was no rush to get it.  I was waiting for this to go on 350 or 299 sale.  But found myself getting one last saturday.  Oh well, 550 isn't that much for a 2-disc set.  Pa-consuelo.   ;D
