I am using PowerDVD. Does anyone know what program I can use so that I can set my DVD-ROM drive to all regions?
Please paste the link.
Thanks!

DVD43, it will not make your player region free, but it will decrypt your DVD, so that powerDVD will see any DVD as region 0.

exactly what i've been looking for. thanks techdude. curious though, does it only work with PowerDVD?
-
No. It removes the CSS lock of most (not all) protected DVD on the fly, So any Windows software (ie Nero, Windows Media Player) will see the disc as not protected nor region-locked. Circumnavigating region-locks is gray area when it comes to copyright laws, but using it to copy your DVD is a no-no. You'd been warned.
Note that I am not a techie nor a lawyer but as long as you use it personally to play DVD from region other than your own, and not copy DVD, it should be okay...

There are also codes that will unlock your drive itself to be region-free, but it's manufacturer and model specific. I forgot where I got the info, but Google might help...

DVD43 does not work on PowerDVD :P.....though it's good for decrypting purposes.
The only software that works on PowerDVD these days is AnyDVD, good thing about this software is that it has it's own decrypting capabilities.
It's for sale, but if your'e well acquianted with torrents, it's a very popular download. ;)
BTW, if your'e optical drive is a Liteon....well....your'e in luck.....get the K-probe and your'e region free forever. ;D

DVD43 worked flawlessly with my bundled Cyberlink PowerDVD too. If it will not work with newer versions, that I do not know...
The only problem, I had with it is, if I insert a audio CD while it is running, it crashes... but with DVD, I haven't encountered any...

Hey guys, I just bought a fairly new laptop yesterday with a native Media Center OS. My DVD-RW drive is locked to R1, will the aforementioned softwares help me unlock the drive under WinXP MCE? Salamat.

You mean to say if I download 'dvd-region-free' and install it on my computer running on XP, there wont be any expiration? Cool!
Can you direct me to the specific link?
Thanks.
