Is the local DAI-X3 exactly the same as the one reviewed on the link? The review claimed it was engineered and manufactured in the US. Sana Dai-ichi can provide one unit for audition to the members to validate the review. Just a suggestion. Tnx ;)

The review is good, the specs are spectacular, the looks is elegant, following the tradition of high end and at our area, the cost is inviting. How much more tempting if done in a group buy!!! :D Code-named DAI-X3!!!

Actually I'm supposed to ask Mr. Go regarding the SRP locally, but unfortunately his out of town right now.

guys,
I was able to talk to DAI a while ago.. Pabili is right may ristriction talaga, di sila nagdidisplay or nagpapa-audition nito locally even the labels were pulled out.. actually mahigpit talaga ang DAI ngayon when it comes to their export product.. there's an inicident similar to this na may pinagbigyan silang mag audition .. unfortunately nakarating sa customers nila sa US, so nagkaroon sila ng problem. by the way their customers is KLIPSCH.

Tempting itong group buy na ito pero saka na ako sasali kapag na audition ko na yung PL-100. Sir Brian-mico thank you sa advice about the PL-100 pero rule of thumb nga ng mga audiophile.. "Audition first before judging a speaker" hehehe! di ko akalain dazer ka rin pala! thank bro!

I passed by Phasetron in Park Square 1 the day I bought my Velodyne, there is a cool looking new Daiichi tower . It had a removable cover with brushed stainless steel design. Looks cool!
Its about 11k and the center is over 4k. Pero 4 ohms daw sya. Check it out guys, I havent passed by the Megamall showroom to see if they have it. Its a new model that they export daw.
di kaya X3 yung nakita niya? kung X3 nga ito di matagal na pala itong speaker na ito...

dont they sell this anymore ? even at 11k its a good price considering what you are getting. 2 towers plus 1 center at 26k is not bad, just add the dtx sub 4.15 for your bass needs :)

whaaaat!!!! minimum of 10 lang pwede na! kung ganun pala e di sure na ako! ;D ;D good thing di natuloy yung pagbili ko ng PL-100 blessing pero type ko rin sana yung euro 6 na black na may 3 woofer na nakademo sa dai mega.

If DAI can't lend a demo unit, can any member who has experience or currently using this X3, give a in-depth review. Maybe, even an a/b comparison with a more familiar speaker like Diamond 9.4, etc. would be better. This can pave the way to another buying surge from the members! ;D
Another thing, baka the more volume we order, the cheaper DAI can give it to us. ::)

mahirap i-match siguro ito speaker na ito sir. since 4 ohms ang impedance nito at 6 ohms naman ang euro8 magkakaroon ka ng inbalance load sa avr unless naka individual power amp ka. plus yung woofer nito mas mabilis kesa sa euro.
Para sigurado 2 pairs na lang kunin mo tapos dispose mo na lang euro 8 mo, dami dito interesado nyan ;D ;D
Hmmm.. anyone willing to buy my Euros 8 for the price equal to that of the group buy value for X3? ;D

LM4876 is 1.1W into 8Ohms. X3 is 4Ohms.

I just checked the datasheet. Seems you can. 1W for 4, 6 and 8-Ohm loads.

Pwede kaya to sa receiver na mey impedance selector switch sa likod? Set at 4 ohms min for fronts, at 90+ dB at less tha 12 o' clock the volume, siguro di naman iinit amp. Di kaya mga sir? Based on the pictures, it got killer looks. Sana ma-audition he he.

Again, please refrain from using the 'R' name or even the 'x?' name. This is to protect our source and our interest, of course! :D - But I like your suggestion - would bat for AgentX, what do you think (para malayo i-correlate sa orig)
I have T-amp, and to be paired with DTX 4.15. I have a Technics mini-compo (20wpc) which sound I love - this is my alternative. At 93db, it will not require high power. Even with tube, you can appreciate it. But audition is a must for me (typically), for I do not know how the cross-over will interact with my choice amp. But at the price, what else can I ask for? :)
In that case, maybe we should delete/edit the posts containing references near the start of the thread? ;)

guys, at 93db, this is not like your usual wharf stuf (at 86db). if you power 1 watt to wharf, this 1 watt is translated by x3 into 4watts (without changing the power released by your AVR). This means if you typically listens with your wharf say at 10watt loudness level, you only need about a little less 2.5watts to hear the same level with X3! So if impedance matching is your problem, it is not really an issue kahit di ka magswitch sa 4 ohms. Hwag ka lang magkamaling itodo na di mo alam.
Mga gurus (paging sir avphile ;D), paki correct na lang kung mali ako. Pero sa pagkakaintindi ko applying 1 watt to a speaker with 92db sensitivity will produce the same perceived loudness as applying 100watts to a speaker with 86db? ???

86db speaker will have 86 db level loudness at 1 watt. Double the power, will increase the loudness by +3db - that means, applying 2Watts to 86db speaker will have 89db loudness. Double the power again (now at 4 watts) will give additional +3db - which is now at 92db!
the 92db speaker will only need 1watt to have 92db level loudness (which can only be attained by 86db speaker at 4watts).

i will be pairing these to my HK PM625 (20 wpc) or HK PM645vxi (60 wpc) which has 4 & 8 ohms impedance selector at the back.

My AVR is a Denon AVR-1507, anyone can shed light kung kaya nito 4 Ohm load?
Nakakatakot kasi baka mag overheat ang AVR hehehe.
btw, my current speaker is a pair of Klipsch SB-2 w/ 93dB sensitivity.

Bro, yong AVR-1507 can only handle/drive 6ohm minimum. check at the back of your AVR.
