If the contents of this collection is similar to the slimmed down version of the individual season releases and there are no new extras then it's not really a good buy. According to X-philes, the best one is still the first release -- the thick ones because it is packed with features that were removed in the slimmed down version.

Modified post:

From the post above, it looks like the complete set will reflect the number of discs for each original individual set, so hopefully the original contents will be preserved.

Whoa! :o I can't get myself started with the individual box sets and now this one comes along. Too tempting. I may have to start on a diet of canned sardines again to be able to save money for this.

There seems to be a hollow space at the bottom of the box. I wonder what's it for?

I'm planning to order one. I'm just wary of the possibility of being slapped by hefty charges once it passes thru local PO.  :-\

Hmm...I think I better start asking my suking sellers how much this will hurt me deeply kung sa Amazon kukunin? I'm thinking of saving up for this. Sayang naman iyong ilang years ko ng pagsubaybay sa RPN 9 if I don't have this in my collection. Hopefully, my drive to save this time will be for real ;D

I wonder if this will fit my custom-made DVD shelf?

The way the DVD sets are arranged inside the box, it looks like the thickness of the box would be the same as the height of your standard DVD case, that is if Fox kept to the norm. If the depth of your custom-made DVD shelf can accomodate the height of a standard DVD set, then it would probably fit. But from your picture, it looks like it won't.

As for me, I prefer to have the old series collection (R3, I think) housed in a special filing cabinet packaging. I can't find anymore the website where I saw that, around two years ago.
