Why don't you go for the HD-A20 model which is already 1080P?? It's as little US$ 316 or just US$50 more from the HD-A2 model??
-
yup, i agree at first i did not see the HDA20, so do you think the HDA20 would be a good buy?
-
There is news that Toshiba will soon be releasing their 3rd generation HD DVD in time for the Holiday season. It is rumoured to be even cheaper than the present models. If you can wait, they may be bundled with better offers during the Holiday season.
-
At Amazon, the HD-A2 is selling at $238.88 with free shipping plus the 8 FREE HD DVD promo!! :o
Yes, as mentioned by Mouldingo, it may be worthwhile to wait a bit longer esp after the release of 3rd gen models...the offer can only getting better! :D

8 HD DVDs is already worth at least $160......very good deal indeed. Actually a lot of BD only enthusiasts has started to go neutral...and the Amazon Buy 2 take 1 deal surely helped in finalizing decisions.

here's a lowdown on the value you will get from getting a Toshiba HD-A2 now at Amazon....
It sells now for $238 and has a shipping weight of 13 lbs. If JAC's rate is still $10 plus $5.5 per pound for pinoydvd members, shipping would cost $81.50. So that would add up around $320 landed cost or P15336.00..........and dont forget the 8 HD DVD titles you'll get, a $160 value, half of the landed cost of the player.
-
i have to point out though that the free BD/HDDVD can only be delivered to american and canadian addresses. and it takes a while to get the 5 disc mail in rebate. some hd-dvd orders take as long as 8 months tapos yung iba hindi na talaga dumadating. bluray's promo has only been around a couple of months but there have been horror stories of orders arriving ripped open w/ different or missing discs.

To me 15 thousand plus for this player is really worth it. I remember buying my sony dvd player for 14 thousand few years back, no upscalers then.. this is just those low enders..By the way A couple of questions..Is the handling of JAC safe for these electronics?..2nd can you address the 5 free discs to JAC in New York and they will just ship it to you here?
On a side note, slightly off topic...Imagine the price difference of this a2 and what they are selling in Anson's, automatic center etc. A2 is 15 plus thousand and the E1 here is selling for 39,900. How will these stuff sell in the Philippines, I dont know..
Secondly, Im not bragging that I know a lot, which I really dont... but I will tell you guys a story, which I think these appliance stores should get more education for the hd market to start taking off..
I was in the appliance madness recently in glorietta and was comparing the Toshiba 4768e to the samsung 46m81. I brought a couple of my dvds, bluray and hddvd discs for testing. First up at samsung, they dont have any bluray so im out of luck. Then went to toshiba and played hulk hddvd on it. I then talked to the toshiba guy if he can use the same player and plug it in the samsung tv. We went ahead to samsung and this is the real funny part. The salesman at samsung said that they are blu-ray exclusive so that toshiba player will not play on their tv..We go huh?? You are kidding right?? Anyway we got it to run on their samsung and my conclusion and opinion is the Samsung wins hands down..
Anyway to me these are the things that these salesman have to know. They have to know the basics. Maybe someone/representative (from sony, toshiba, samsung etc..) have to have a forum with these salesmen. I dont know a lot also from these stuff especially when it comes to audio, and it will be a great help for everybody if these salesman know what they are talking about and really educate the consumers..However I know these things happen in america also..They are also not well educated with what they are selling..

I got my Hd-a1 thru this route, and I could say their service is pretty good on my end. Yeah, that is a possibility, to address the 5 free disc thru JAc, though you have to pay shipping for them...or maybe if you have some relatives in the US, pasabay na lang pag me umuwi.....

Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD Player is the top-selling electronics item on Amazon.com
The Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD Player is the top-selling electronics item on Amazon.com,and the Web site is giving consumers added incentive to buy one.
Through Sept. 23, customers who buy a Toshiba HD-A2, HD-A20 or HD-XA2 will get three out of 55 HD DVDs offered on Amazon.com at no charge, in addition to the five free HD DVDs the HD DVD Promotion Group has been offering in its rebate program. The HD DVD Promotion Group rebate offer ends Oct. 31.
“We are pleased to see that consumers are continuing to adopt HD DVD as their format of choice for high definition movie entertainment,” said Toshiba spokeswoman Jodi Sally. “We are confident this sales trend will continue as price continues to be a deciding factor in consumers’ purchases.
“Free movies promotions also continue to drive hardware sales at retail. We learned this when we introduced DVD players over 10 years ago. The HD DVD Promotion Group started a free movie promotion on Toshiba’s players in November 2006 [and] this continues to be successful in driving player sales and continues to be promoted at many of our key retailers.”

Blu-ray matches HD DVD offer at Amazon.com
(8/30/2007)
CHRIS TRIBBEY, HMM
A day after HD DVD agreed to a promotion where customers who buy a Toshiba HD-A2, HD-A20 or HD-XA2 get three out of 55 HD DVDs offered on Amazon.com at no charge — in addition to the five free HD DVDs the HD DVD Promotion Group has been offering in its rebate program — a similar offer for Blu-ray Disc has popped up.
Through Sept. 23, customers who buy a 60G or 80G PlayStation 3 at the site will get three out of 106 Blu-ray Discs offered on Amazon.com at no charge, in addition to the five free Blu-rays the Blu-ray Disc Association has been offering.
The BDA’s offer ends Oct. 31.
“It’s a time honored promotion,” said Steve Feldstein, SVP of corporate and marketing communications with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, a Blu-ray supporter. “If they weren’t successful, we wouldn’t repeat it.
Both promotions have seen a boost in hardware sales: The HD-A2 climbed to No. 1 in Amazon.com’s electronics bestseller list Aug. 28 and stayed there, while the HD-XA2 climbed 50 spots. In the video game bestsellers list, the 80G PS3 jumped nearly 50 spots to hit the top 60, and the 60G leapfrogged the Wii one spot to take No. 2 overall, behind the HD DVD add-on for the Xbox 360.

sa 2nd gen toshiba which player does 1080p/24?
Only 3rd gen players A30 & A35 are capable of 1080p/24.
**Furthermore, Toshiba said it would issue a firmware update via Ethernet to its existing HD-XA2 and HD-A20 models, enabling them to process 1080p content at 24 frames per second.

Toshiba HD-A2 price at Amazon is down to $222.50 :)
In view of this, when the Chinese players are relased there's a big possibility it's at the $199 mark. ;D
-
Sometimes, I don't want to see updates on these players especially when the prices are going down. Makes me tell myself, "why didn't I wait?" heheheh ;D
-
I know what you mean... ;D
Here's another update. This time it's getting dirt cheap! :P
Toshiba HDA2 at $199 from beachcamera.com!!! :o
Click HERE (http://www.beachcamera.com/shop/product.aspx?omid=118&ref=nextag&utm_source=Nextag&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=TBHDA2&sku=TBHDA2#) (add to the cart to see the super low price)
-
prices in amazon fluctuates because sometimes, the item is not eligible for free shipping within US. If ever it is not eligible, shipping cost for the hd player could cost around 29 dollars.
-
The Toshiba HD players selling tru Amazon since Match 2007 come with FREE shipping within USA.
I suppose the lower price could due to stock clearance & anticipation of the newer Tosh 3rd gen players.
-
after researching last night, i've decided to buy an hd-dvd player (most likely the A2) instead of an upscaling dvd player. at US$220, that comes to only P10,120 (assuming my credit card charges me at about P46=US$1, higher than prevailing rate of P44 or so). I will choose the A2 because my tv's resolution is only 1024 x 768, wasting the capabilities of 1080p models. An upscaling dvd player, on the other hand will cost about 7k, give or take a few hundred pesos, with no marked improvement in video quality.
i'm just trying to convince my friend, who will have a box shipped from the US, to accomodate my request na isali ang A2 (to her detriment, kasi mababawasan ang space for her). My only other concern is that baka mawala, during the shipment. goodbye p10K, pag nagkataon.
In the alternative, I could ship via JAC. pero from what i've read in another post, JAC charged about 6k due to the box used.
or maybe i should get the A3, which comes with 300 and Bourne Identity free? Pag nag price drop eto when it is released to about 250, it may be worth the extra $$ to get the 2 dvds. choices, choices.
-
Is HDA2 and HDA20 the same?
If not, which performs better used on a 32 - 37" HDTV (720p/1080i ready only) and of course, how much is the retail price of it?
P.S.- I have a PS3 already and I can use it as my bd player already - but I am wondering if getting a stand alone bd player would be worthit or I should just stick to the PS3 for viewing movies since I am a kind of a gamer too nowadays. sorry if it's a bit OT here.. ;)
-
@fait,
no, they're not. the HD-A2O is a higher model, it can output up to 1080p already. the HD-A2 is only up to 1080i.
the HD-A2 and the HD-A20 are HD-DVD players, though, and not blu ray. So the discs you play via ps3 won't play with these players.
retail price in the US is US$220 for the A2, not too sure about the A20. just check amazon. both players aren't readily available here.
it might interest you to know that Jeff of Theaterworks is thinking of bringing in the HD-A35 (the newer and higher end model) for 29k. I think Sights and Sounds is also offering the HD-A20 in the 30k range and the HD-XA2 (the highest end model so far, whether 2nd gen or 3rd gen) at about 40K range. Just PM them both.
-
@tonedeaf, I posted a reply to your query in the Plasma thread. :)
@Fait, I was informed that InfoMax is carrying the HD-A2 at around peso 19k. HDTV size 32 - 37" with native resolution 720p or 1080i, the HD-A2 should the job. ;)
-
My friend bought the A2 model in amazon and ship thru JAC. His total cost is 18k with 2 free hd dvds. I think the price of 19k sa infomax is quite reasonable na. May 1 yr warranty pa ata.
-
OMFG... I thought it was a Blu-Ray player. ???
... but thanks tonedeaf and pchin for answering my nub query here. :)
I guess I have to jump to another thread for blu-ray player(s).
-

I wonder who will be interested in pooling orders for HDA3... seems to be the best buy for lower end users like me. I mean A30 really dont have much difference over A3, especially with it's faulty 1080p output in non-1080p/24-compatible hdtvs - as per cnet's review. Not worth the extra dough, daw.
Anyone? I really cant wait to get my hands on this.

Can anyone confirm this?
Ang A2 kasi dinadown convert ang True HD sa DTS at 1.5 mbps, at ang A3 naman ay dinadown convert ang True HD sa Dolby Digital at 640kps.
is this true?
-
i just noticed as of a few minutes ago, the A2 is no longer listed sa amazon. ubos na stocks? ???

"Ang A2 kasi dinadown convert ang True HD sa DTS at 1.5 mbps, at ang A3 naman ay dinadown convert ang True HD sa Dolby Digital at 640kps."
dede, can you translate the question again to English? ;D
-
"the A2 downconverts TrueHD to dts @1.5mbps while the A3 only downconverts it to dolby digital 640kbps"
pchin, i didn't know you can't understand filipino ;D
-
Hehe I see...tnx for the translation bro ET414. ;D
@dede: Concerning the Tosh HD-A2, it has an internal TrueHD decorder & output as LPCM via HDMI to your AV receiver. So, if you have a HDMI equipped receiver, then you can still enjoy the lossless TrueHD audio.
However, if you only use the digital optical cable (Toshlink), yes the TrueHD will downcovert to DTS @1.5mbps. As for the HD-A3, it should have similar functions.
**Edited: If you use optical cable out in the HD-A3, yes it will downconvert to Dolby Digital 640kbps. Hmm..in this case it make sense to get the HD-A2 if you will be using the optical cable only since the price is very low.

Circuit City, Amazon Join $198 HD DVD Player Club (UPDATED)
UPDATE: Looks like everyone's jumping aboard the $198 HD-A2 gravy train. Added mention of Amazon.com's recent listing of the player.
Wal-Mart isn't the only retailer offering Toshiba's HD-A2 HD DVD player at the record low price of $198.
As we've previously reported, the discount retailer made headlines last week when it confirmed that it would carry Toshiba's second-gen 1080i HD DVD player for less than $200.
Now both Circuit City and Amazon.com have joined the fray, offering the same deck for a penny less (at $197.99). Even better, unlike Wal-Mart, both retailers have extended the discounted price on the HD-A2 to online sales.
At press time, it wasn't clear how long these retailers plan to stock the discounted player. We do know that Toshiba plans to release a new comparable entry-level third-gen player (the HD-A3) sometime in November.
Speaking with Fortune Magazine last week, a Wal-Mart spokesperson disputed earlier reports that the player would only be made available in limited number, saying "There are no limited quantities for stores or purchases."

for hd-a1 true hd decoder is via 5.1 analog? is this right?
Assuming you have the latest firmware update, the HD-A1 can decode TrueHD & output via either HDMI or analog 5.1 to your receiver.

problem bro no hdmi on my processor :) another upgrade na naman to enjoy true hd.

sanmig, how about the 5.1 analog input from your receiver?
It should have. Then you can use the analog 5.1 to enjoy TrueHD :)
-

yup that is my option to enjoy true hd, weird lang kasi mas ok sana kung dolby true hd naka indicate sa receiver. naka set kasi sa mulitichanel.
-
Eh...sanmig, I'm a bit lost here. It appears that you're aware the HD-A1 can decode TrueHD & output via analog 5.1 but why are you asking the question. ???
Regret my Tagalog isn't good but from what I can understand it seems that your real situation is you don't like using the analog connection because the signal "TrueHD" won't be displayed in your receiver? I thought it's more important if you're concerned about enjoying the lossless audio rather than worrying the name- not appearing on the receiver noh LOL ;D
If that's the case then I guess the solution is to acquire a new HDMI receiver with TrueHD decoder AND a player that can output TrueHD bitstream! ;)

sorry paul i just want to confirm coz i still did not try it with true hd na cd.
ill try it with dolby digital plus hddvd only to 5.1 analog but ordinary rca and hard to listen the difference
kasi dolby digital plus unlike siguro sa dolby true hd may big difference siguro.
out pa sa budget to purchase those hd with true hd & still
waiting for sale on amazon like the bluray buy 1 take1 ;D
for me its important pa din to listen & enjoy the true hd rather than display on receiver.
sayang lang kasi walang display if only we can upgrade our processor to display the true hd mas ok sana :D

No doubt marami nga, if the A35 gets discounted to $300 this holiday season - I'll surely buy it as well.. ;D
A quick check at Amazon shows the A35 now at $390!!!

It gets more interesting...

Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player: $100, this Friday, Wal-Mart
Still waiting to jump into the high def disc game? Or just wanted another weaker, cheaper player for the last-gen TV you phased out to your rumpus room? Well, whatever your reasons, some (not all!) Wal-Mart locations will be selling Toshiba HD-A2s for $100 -- down from $200 -- this Friday. Ridiculous, we know. Blu-ray gonna fight back? We hope so, we'd really like to get our hands on one for under $300, and not just by using our hookup that sells gear out of his trunk, you know?
URL: http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/01/toshiba-hd-a2-hd-dvd-player-100-this-friday-wal-mart/
The player only outputs at 1080i max, but this model supports DTS-HD (core), and DTS Encore 5.1 output. Enjoy! ;D

sir, whats DTS Encore 5.1?? new surround sound output from DTS?
From Practical Home Theater Guide....
DTS lineup of high resolution audio comprises three main formats DTS 96/24, DTS HD Master Audio, and DTS HD High Resolution Audio.
There is also DTS Encore, but this is a content name rather than an audio codec product. Encore is designed to deliver DTS Digital Surround audio (from a HD-DVD or a Blu-ray device) at twice the resolution found on most standard DVDs.
In other words, DTS Encore is capable of delivering DTS Digital Surround at its full 1.5Mb/s supported by the DTS format, rather than the 768kb/s limit supported on standard DVD-video.
I think he means DTS "core" 5.1 at 1.5mbps.
BINGO!

Not entirely sure. The Asian prices could drop but not as drastic as this. This is due to Toshiba's aggressive marketing since they just got Dreamworks and a couple more studios to go full-on HD-DVD.
Back on topic, by any chance any of you folks have recently purchased an HD-DVD player (Toshiba or the XBox 360 HD-DVD Expansion Drive), go to link below for your free... ...yes, FREE as in you get it for zero cost (except for the mailing part)... ...HD-DVD movies.

I doubt that would apply to any Asian countries. Toshiba is betting everything in the US market, especially this holiday season. Yung problema dito yung mga HD DVD titles nila. 2 or 3 great titles only will comeout until end of the year(shrek3, Bourne Ultimatum, Harry Potter pack...). There is only 5 animated child friendly titles to choose from for this holiday season, and these aren't format exclusive. :-\ :-\ :-\

Hmm..in this case it make sense to get the HD-A2 if you will be using the optical cable only since the price is very low.
using my set-up as an example.
I have an Onkyo 494 which has no hdmi but is DD and DTS capable. my tv, on the other hand, has component/HDMI connections.
so if I get either the A2 or the A3, for video, i can connect the player to my tv using HDMI.
for audio, on the other hand, my AVR has no HDMI out. so, I have to connect as follows:
A2 - either coax or optical. downconvert True HD to 1.5mbps
A3 - only optical. downconvert to 640kbps.
Tama ba? Are these relevant to me considering that my receiver isn't capable of True HD?
-
bro i think only the higher 3rd generation units not the A2 have both the coaxial and optical connections. ;)

Wow, I bought at the right time - the price from Amazon is $197 today, and Tiger c/o Amazon is up to $249.99!
Thanks for the heads up, tonedeaf - you saved me more than 2000 pesos! ;D
-
^you're welcome. pero ako, di naka avail of the benefits of the price cut as I wasn't able to make arrangements yet for the shipping of the player to a "friendly" place (as in the relative of a friend ehehe).
oh well, at least may nag benefit. i'm hoping that there will be a new round of price cuts while we near Black Friday. though US$198 isn't bad. should be only about 8K++ here, just a tad more than an upscaling dvd player.

Now that the hardware price is affordable...hopefully when Black Fridays comes they will have great deals on the softwares... :)

dmaximus, the upcoming Black Friday in US falls on 23rd Nov 2007. It's the day after Thanksgiving where retailers have a bunch of great deals to help customers get their holiday shopping done for less.
Normally the offer/sales/discount/deals only valid for that particular Friday & with some restriction e.g. certain items at 50% but only available from 8:00am to 12:00pm. :)
So for those with relatives from USA, this will be a great time to shop your favourite items: DVD/HD player, plasma, LCD, DVDs, etc.... :D

HD DVD Players Near 500,000 Mark?
Washington, D.C. (November 8, 2007) -- HD DVD supporters say their favorite high-def format will sell 500,000 players by month's end.
That's according to an article by Home Media Magazine.
The publication reports that the recent price cut for the Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player has triggered sales of more than 100,000 units over the last week.
Several retailers, including Wal-Mart and Best Buy, last Friday (November 2) dropped the price of the Toshiba HD-A2 to $99 as a special pre-Black Friday offer.
The player has a suggested retail price of $299, but normally now sells for around $199 in most stores.
Home Media writes that roughly 320,000 Toshiba HD DVD players were sold prior to last weekend's promotional push. With the 100,000 units added to that figure, HD DVD supporters say the 500,000 mark should be reached by the end of November.
While the 500,000 mark would be impressive, it would still fall far short of Blu-ray's overall home penetration total.
Although standalone HD DVD players are outselling standalone Blu-ray players, Sony's Play Station 3, which has a Blu-ray player inside, has sold millions of units. HD DVD and Blu-ray are rival formats competing for the new high-def disc audience.

Here are the reasons di ako sumusubo pag black friday
1.camping out
2.not sure kung meron pa stock yung item na biblhin mo (inless your the first in line)
3.pila sa item, pila sa counter
4.grabeee lamig pag winter (especially when you live sa east coast)
5.I saw a lot of people being hospitalized because of the stampede.
6.masarap matulog (long weekend)

Geez..grabe..after the long cold night endurance there's no guarantee pa that you will able to buy it...also there's risk of hurt or stampede... :(

does anyone know if where i can still buy the 99$ A2? nagpapabili kasi friend ko e..since i can't find it now sa net.. :(

does anyone know if where i can still buy the 99$ A2?
Right now you can't. That was a special one-day offer and they oversold as it is. Wait until Black Friday and check again - there's a chance for prices to go that low again.

kasama ba prices online pag black firday? :D im so desperate. ???
-
Possibly, but also maybe not as low.
Like during the $99 sale period, I got my HD DVD player for $139. Not too bad, considering it was my only option, and the prices are back to almost $200 again.
-
kasama ba prices online pag black firday? :D im so desperate. ???
Yup, online retailers will also have their black friday sales. Expect a massive slowdown on most of the retailers' websites as a lot of people will be online on that day too.
Also, the black friday sales I experienced last year was not that bad at all. Cheap laptops, flat panel TVs, car navs, dvd players and desktops were the first to go or the fast movers. But you can still find a lot of cheap items which other people doesn't want on most stores (i.e. very cheap memory cards, digital cameras, dvd movies, PC softwares, video games, CDs and even free blank CD-Rs and DVD-Rs). ;)
With the gas prices soaring and the dollar weakening. It is expected that it will be another lackluster holiday shopping here in the US. ???
Happy Christmas to all!

HD DVD Players Near 500,000 Mark?
Blogger Dave Zatz says he got an email from Best Buy stating that Toshiba has discontinued the HDA2:
"You are receiving this email because you recently ordered a Toshiba HD DVD Player (model: HD-A2) and your order was placed in a backorder status while we awaited additional inventory. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued this item and we are not anticipating receiving any more inventory. Because we value your business, we will be fulfilling your order with the next generation Toshiba HD DVD Player (model: HD-A3) that is replacing the HD-A2 in Toshiba’s lineup of HD DVD Players."

This guy is getting busted. The next US$ 99 not-exactly-latest player could happen when the next generation models appear or earlier with Toshiba's other overstocked surplus of the A20/A25 models. I'd watch these older 1080P models since ubos na daw yung A2. Sariling kong prediction is prices will go down to US$ 150-200 or lower for these remaining second gen models . Normal cycle naman talaga kung ibagsak presyo mga lumang models para maubos ang inventory. But what I want to see is more cheaper catalog titles, I mean really, really more. Walang madagdag sa HD DVD collection ko... :P :P :P

hehe whew! you think i got a good deal for the 10k? ;D
-
Yes, I think that's a good deal. Amazon is selling the A3 for around P11K+.
The price is good enough, so I wouldn't worry. The next model will always be better and cheaper; but if you hold off too long, you might never be able to buy an HD player because you will always be waiting for the next great deal up ahead.
-
hehe whew! you think i got a good deal for the 10k? ;D
It is a good deal for now...pikit mata mo na lang. Just enjoy it. Tama si Sir Barrister, there will always be better deals. But if you don't take the plunge, you'd never end up getting one from all that worrying the next best deal...hehehe

@barrister and Mouldingo
Thanks sa inyo i feel better now buying the a3. sana lang makuha ko yun 5 free HD DVDs kasi wala yun 3 free hd dvds ;D kaya im thinking twice kung ok yun 10k

Toshiba has released Firmware Ver. 2.7 for their XA2, A20 & A2 hd dvd players.
-
Another one na? That's fast. I haven't update to 2.5 yet...guess it's time to do it.
-
Oh my gosh! What does this update do to HD-A2??
This firmware update adds support for 1080p/24Hz output....!!!! :o :o
Those who own Full HD 1080p display....rejoice!! :D Oh man...those who bought this recently at the $99 or $169 it's a real deal breaker! 8)
-
Oh my gosh! What does this update do to HD-A2??

*Correction. a consumer had called Toshiba customer service & the staff verified indeed the HD-A2 will able to output 1080p/24Hz. However, some A2 owners managed to complete the firmware 2.7 upgrade, hence can confirm that there's no 1080p/24Hz for A2 as it's not shown in the setup page. :-[
Tnx to aeris30/Reddy's alert too :)
-
Tnx to aeris30/Reddy's alert too :)
No problem paul :) Even without 1080p/24hz output, the A2 is still a better buy (among available HD DVD players at it's level) even at whatever price you got it for. Great video & sound :)
-
Yup, I own the HD-A2 & have been using since Jan 2007 until now & haven't suffered a single playback issue. Excellent HD player considering the affordable price. :D
-
In my first attempt, half-way it got an error message. I almost got panicked.... :-\
In the second attempt, I was able to upgrade my A2 to the latest 2.7 firmware. :)

Here's a chance to buy a Toshiba HD-A35 for $149 at Amazon come November 26. You can vote for this item from now to Nov 25 (I think) and if this item wins the vote, you may be offered a deal on the item. You can also vote for Samsung BD-P1400 1080p Blu-ray player which is also being offered for $149. 500 items (either of the HD-DVD or Blu-ray player) will be on sale come November 26 for $149 for those who voted.
Here's the link:

Similar promo was offered last year and the xbox 360 was eventually voted with a price of $100 on "black friday" after thanksgiving. You have to be glued to your pc to be able to get the item & get a chance to buy it.
-
Alright Jun, completed my vote. I went for PS3 & the Samsung BD-P1400. Fingers crossed. ;D
I have set an alarm & US time zone to keep track of the vote result day & deal. :)

i placed my vote narin i went for the wii and Samsung BD-P1400. good luck guys! balita kung manalo kayo. ;)

Black Friday is near na....just a few more days.
Let the "shopping spree" begins! :P
-
what do you think will suit best with a sammy r81? the a2 or a3? :)
-
If your Sammy R81 native resolution is only 720p then either model A2 or A3 is fine as both have similar features. If price is a concern, then you may want to consider the cheaper A2. Look out for Black Friday offer!

That's a good $100 for A2. I also heard in certain shops selling the A3 for $100.
Good luck to your bargain hunting! ;)
