very anticipated release...it's good that they decided to release it in 2-disc already than releasing a bareboned DVD then release the SE in a couple of months. This movie screams gift set or special packaging. I'll be vigilant for any US store exclusives. ;D

Removing the slip case of the single disc and transforming it with that kind of cover art... I'll get both editions (single and two-disc)! If there'll be a gift set... then I'll get three! In fact I would get all versions if there would be many!  ;D

And since this will be viewed in the privacy of my own, I can now clap as many times as I want...  ;D ;D ;D

A little dissapointed with the 2-disc cover art. It's the same image that we've seen of Optimus Prime before.

I highly doubt it.  :-[

If this will not include the 2 extra minutes in the Imax version then I'll probably just wait for that release...

they still haven't said what the extra 2 minutes would be but i'm hoping it would be the barricade scene which was left out in the movie but included in the comics version of the film

expect the studio to milk this dry.  so at the very least a double dip is in order.

I like the single disc artwork more than the two-disc version...  and frankly, some of the creations of pinoydvd artists are better than those...

Yeah. The two-disc set screams for red and yellow hues. It's so plain.

Since this is one of the most wanted DVDs, distributors will likely to release yet another 'tempting' edition in the future and may even tagged it as the ULTIMATE EDITION. :o

They should've released an "all spark" metal box to place the DVDs in. Even if they put a high price tag, a lot of fans would still buy that $hit.  ;D

From the looks of it.  It looks like plastic.  After seeing the transforming case in bigger detailed pictures.  I feel like not getting it anymore and settle for the steel case.  But it's just me.  I feel like it would be better to get the real toy instead of getting the transforming toy.  But if this was released a year ago I'll get them all without even thinking. :)

Just in time....I am holding an R1 right now c/o officemate.

Transforming case - same
Insert - R1 is more thicker, something like a thin cardboard and more glossy
Transparent case - same

from tvshowsondvd (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Transformers-Animated-Season-1/9712):

For those of you who caught our brief mention last Saturday that "the 2007 Transformers live-action film with Shia LaBeouf will be coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 2nd, in a 2-Disc Special Edition": note that Paramount has also officially announced that this morning, along with two different new DVD releases of the film, as part of something called the "Bring Home a Hero Promo".  One of the DVD releases is listed as a "1-Disc w/ Optimus Prime Mask" package, while the other is a "2-Disc Deluxe Transforming Megatron Package".  All three of those versions arrive September 2nd, just like we said.  We're sure the sites which cover film releases on DVD and Blu-ray will have a LOT more to say about all of these items, including extras on the 2-Disc versions (there are a lot), so keep an eye out at those sites for that info today.
