Does any one here own a R1 DVD with RCE? Is it true that these DVDs will not play on a region-free players?

There is a thread already regarding RCE.  But I couldn't find it.  All Sony Columbia tri Star releases have RCE and all of them works fine in all locally purchased DVD players.

I've encountered incompatibility with playback of a few R1 discs with RCE on OLDER R3-converted-to-multiregion Sony, Samsung and Aiwa (Portable) DVD players. Newer DVD players Sony and Samsung no longer have that problem though, from my own personal experience.
