Thanks to member "Count Westwest" (from Hi-def digest forum) for the heads up.  :)

I suggest you check your Amazon Gold Box offers regularly or esp before you check-out your HD DVD orders. The above mentioned member got "Harry Potter Years 1-5 Limited Edition Gift Set [HD DVD]" for only $89.20 thru the Gold Box Offer! Normal price is $104.95 :o

Best of all the usual 10%, for those who qualify, is still applicable!  :D

I just tried it out & got "Meet the Robinsons Blu-ray" with Gold Box discount of $1.20 (about 5% off the normal price). Also my usual 10% still work! So that's a total of 15% discount. Not bad tho it's not that much but it's still a discount.  ;D Some of you may be more lucky & get a bigger surprise deal! ;)

The 10% discount promo was from last year when you purchased over a certain amount iin HD products. :)

You can find the Gold Box at the top menu next beside the "Your Account/Cart/Your List/Help".

Just click on the gold treasure box & see the offer of the day. :)

The DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray offer is not on a daily basis pala.... :-\

Most of the time you will get jewelry, clothing, kitchenware, home products, watches, toys, etc... :-[

the gold box changes everyday and usually only gives you another 5% off msrp

Ya I used these gold box offers before. You can have free email subscription from them, they will email you all the time..I got a deal before on land of the giants complete series (a favorite of mine when I was a kid hehe). It cost 199 bucks, they offered a gold box promo for a day that cost only 99 bucks. So to me a great deal. However I never saw the harry potter hddvd/blu-ray offer. Never saw it thru my email..Hmmm I wonder when was this promo was offered..Ya usually they dont have gold box offer for hddvd/blu-ray, ya they usually have kitchenware etc. etc...

Amazon is also planning its Black Friday Deals on November 23.

Hopefully they will include some sweet promo deals on HD DVD/Blu-ray....hopefully another "buy 2 FREE 1"  ;D
