ive got a Phillips 42" plasma that i bought 16 months ago. last week the video screen just went black but audio was still working fine. SI i called up a Phillips service center and they had a look at the unit today. I was surprised to see when they opened up the back that most of the circuit boards are made by Samsung. Why is this?
I still dont know what the problem is though as the techs said that the unit needs to be pulled out and serviced at their shop. Can anyone help me out here? Any suggested repair shops?
thanks!!

not much to choose from really....if the units no longer under warranty (go check first since they give up to 2 years on the panel) then i know only about 2 shops who can do this, unfortunately i cant remember their names right now but theyre usually in the yellow pages, go check under electronics repair and they would come pick up your unit for an estimate.

If the philips technician cant fix the unit, PM me. I might be able to refer you to somebody who can repair it.
