Yes, saw this one already on dvdempire, no cover artwork yet. I had a feeling this one's a barebone. Hopefully, I'm not. This is one of my most rented titles in betamax before. Really dig its soundtrack, David Pomeranz's ballads and Plain Jane's Ready or Not. I still have its soundtrack on cassette tape! :D

Hey, I still remember that chest bursting scene (not of the Alien variety). ;D To a budding teen that time, it was enough to get the adrenalin flowing. ;D I hope they include some extras kahit 1-disc lang siya.

I saw David Pomeranz during one of his interviews on TV promoting an album and when this movie was brought up along with his famous theme songs, he abashedly rekindles his participation in the movie as one of the soundtrack's (top) contributor. Man, his songs in Zapped! made him a 'household' name in radio during the '80's and the movie a cult hit in videos! I happened to dig Felice Schachter, the nerdy Bernadette in the movie. ;)

Kelly LeBrock was featured in a segment of ET. She seems to have let go already and is heavier now.

My HS classmate who was soo madly in love for the 1st time during that time told me that Zapped was the best movie he and his girlfriend then (in the neighboring exclusive school for girls) had ever seen. Ha ha ha. Then we both entered UP and he got zapped right away by another girl in freshmen year.
Ok, it would be easier to verify if those were indeed Heather's Thomas' b**bs or not.

What a GREAT idea...Unbelievable!!! Bravo cousin!!! Maybe you could write to MGM but I think this was one of the controversies of that film.
Controversy
An unusual contract situation arose on the set because the script called for Heather Thomas to be photographed topless in one scene and stripped to her panties in another. However, during shooting she refused to be filmed topless, insisting that the nudity was neither necessary nor appropriate. In post-production, the producers inserted close-ups of a topless body double into the scenes and Miss Thomas complained to the Screen Actor's Guild that moviegoers might think it was her. In an unusual move, the producers added an advisory to the end credits that a body double was used for Miss Thomas for the photograph and her nude scene. (She claimed, however, that the people who watch such movies never pay any attention to the closing credits.)
Controversy also erupted during the promotion of the film when readers of the Los Angeles Times complained about the movie poster advertisement, not because of what the readers could see but because it was suggested that the illustrated Scott Baio and Willie Aames could see up the skirt of the illustrated girl character. The poster artist re-drew the advertisement to block the suggested view.

Yeah, although the picture and rating implies it's an R2 release, my best guess is that it's a bootleg.
But I'd gladly buy the bootleg to use the jacket to replace the butt ugly one MGM came up with... ;D

No, as indicated on the very first post on this thread, it's both fullscreen and widescreen (DVD-10 flipper).
