hello guys!
i was wondering which of these would sound the warmest and the best bang for the buck purchase as well?
ive heard that the tjoeb sounds great than the nad. thinking of coughing up the extra cash for it.
thanks!
-
The Ah should sound warmest because of the tubes. NADs are generally warm sounding solid states IMO. Don' know about the Arcam though.
-
thanks!
would you perhaps know how much it retails here?
im seriously considering it actually. people in the forums actually say its way better than many of the cd players in its price class.
-
sorry but it would be difficult to compare apples to oranges to grapes...these CDPs are not of the same range...FYI, thanks!
-
ot lang, does the words ah njoe tjoeb have a literal meaning or is it a persons name or something, hehe, just curious.. merry xmas everyone

ah new tube?

AH!Njoeb Tjoeb HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!Its a modified Marantz, although it not the same category as that of Arcam & Nad since both are solid state
-
where can we audition ah njoeb tjoeb cd players in manila? :D
-
the nad belongs to a different class.
between the tjoeb and the arcam, i would say the tjoeb would fit your taste for warm sound.
arcam is also good kaya lang mejo matigas tumunog, kulang sa finesse though the detail, stage and tonal balance is really good.
it stands for "new tube" a marantz cd4000 modified somewhere in holland. maganda siya but still, you need to ensure it fits well synergized with the rest of your gears.
i believe a standard model would go for 51tphp and the super tjoeb model would go for 90tphp.
i thing for sure, if you have found a synergy with this source, its going to give you many years of sonic pleasure...di nga lang siya ganon ka"pogi"...hehehe

CD Players with this range have different characteristics, you need to try (audition) it in your system and decide what you like. My personal preference is the "tjoeb" this is already known in the market & so many sites that will readily show you some upgrades from 1st level to ULTIMATE level. Somebody call it Twik2 if you are DIY'r

I got my Njoeb Tjoeb from Audio Den when it was still in Araneta Ave. I think they moved to Rockwell with a different name. BEWARE "This piece of equipment is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE"

another good contender here would be the musical fidelity A5...ive always loved source components from MF :)
why not audition both this and the tjoeb cdp in your own rig. in any case, u wont go wrong, u just nid to find out which one suits your taste better.
i have a tjoeb cdp kaya lang its in QC. if you are willing to audition it in laguna, i can get it from there. hindi ko na kasi ginagamit kaya naron sa QC.

great!
thanks!
i had the tjoeb shipped via ebay.
i hope it's worth the extra cash!
its a steal imo.
well, insofar as synergy is concerned, my system at present would be the b&w602s3 and the nad320. any opinions if it'd sound as great in these?
thanks!

sorry but it would be difficult to compare apples to oranges to grapes...
im not quite sure if the analogy's quite correct. id rather say we're comparing apples of different classes
i mean, had we conceded that the tjoebs would be difficult to compare with nads nor arcams, how else can the qualities of each cdp stated be best apprised on a given set of parameters?
maybe not, i submit.
-
first of all, they're not of the same price range...second, the njoe tjoebs are tube output CDPs while the other 2 are solid state...third, not all the three are 24-bit/96...so that's what i meant by comparing apples to oranges to grapes...they're not of the same level...that's just my 2-cents...but there's nothing wrong in comparing the three...and since you already got a njoe tjoeb CDP, CONGRATS! Thanks!
