Kris Aquino just mentioned her "slingbox" unit  where she can watch her favorite shows in the US live thru internet.

Watching Leno and Conan in the morning will be weird. But to think of all the possibilities. NFL? NBA?

Yup, my cousin is really happy with his Slingbox.

This works well for people who work their own hours. It's pretty much useless for those who work conventional 9-5 jobs, unless you want to watch talk shows, game shows and daytime soaps. I'm usually at work by 6:30AM, and the earliest I'm done is 2PM - pretty much all US TV prime time hours.

you must have somebody in the states to subscribe to the US cable service there and connect it to the slingbox located in a US residence. The slingbox must then be connected to the internet.

Then you can watch the programs thru you internet connected pc anywhere in the world. The catch is that you must have a subscribed US cable service connected

This is discussed in this earlier topic: http://pinoydvd.com/board/index.php?topic=52267.0 (http://pinoydvd.com/board/index.php?topic=52267.0)
