Post by: 2ne on May 21, 2008 at 12:00 AM
just wanna share mine..reason for upgrade-->my 14" sony trinitron conked out on me after 10 years (sulit namn hehe) ;D

i need to have an operable drywall (removable double wall using screws) for me to hide cables and wires..to do that i need to dismantle some fixed shelvings on my wall...here's the concept

here's the picture after carpentry and painting works....

after installation of cove lighting (for ambient light for the upcoming plasma)....

after installation/roughin-in of wires and cables and audio gears....

Nice!  ;) Congrats!

It would be best if you can put your center below your plasma. I think based on your chart, the position of the center is kinda high. Eye level should do the job.

Just my one cent.  8)

thanks for your comments frootloops..ya i missed that part ;D d design was due to a possible bluray player upgrade(ipapatong ko sya sa dvd upscaler on that suspended glass shelf and kung mangyari no space for the center speaker below the plasma) and i dont want the plasma tv either to be over a meter from finish floor ;D  but anyways the center speaker still delivers its role ;)

Yeah, I just need a partner to rob a bank to finance my new endeavor. LOL, joke.  :D

I have the SCS200 in my bedroom setup. I also used to pair them with the Denon 1705 before. They are nice speakers for the money, specially the sub.

If I may suggest, it may be better if you put the front sats on the shelf beside the TV, or else the sat's proximity to the side walls of the shelf  may muddle the sound. Then you can either move your center down below the TV, or simply have all 3 sats on the same high level of your current center location (tilted down to your listening position).

Just my 1 cent.  :)

Better pick the ps3 over a stand alone bluray player since blurays are still expensive the ps3 can do the job of playing bluray for you in the meantime plus there other options you can do to enjoy the ps3.

you have a point there sir, m just kinda worried myself on the ps3 as a blu ray player...dami feedbacks about the low quality of bd lens ng sony..sirain ata? any idea y is it? :(

perhaps a stand alone BD player is more stable but in the mean time is quite expensive so the ps3 is definitely the better choice since i dont think you'll be spending much money collecting much BD movies as of the moment (perhaps 2 or 3 will do ). By 2009, bluray manufacturing will begin in China thus expect by 2010 prices of BDs will drop tremendously when China starts exporting them and flooding the bluray market all over the world. That i think is the best time to buy and own a stand alone BD player of ur choice.

Thanks audiojunkie. yung difference na napansin ko between HK and Denon was mas malakas (parang dumoble pa) ang bass output ng HK compared to Denon although Denon produce decent bass naman pero mas maganda clarity ng Denon compared sa HK.

BOSE SoundDock 10 w/ Iphone 3G S 32gb black--> chose between B&W Zeppellin & Bose SounDock 10..the Bose won. This is not bang for the buck because it doesnt have clock, am/fm, etc. for its 600$ price tag however i still bought this because i prefered a sounddock mainly for my ipod/iphone and thats it. Didnt need any other features for as long as it will provide very good SQ.  Im not a fan of Bose however its my first product from them and i assure you have to make an excuse for this one :) It's a beast (20lb-150W).  This one has it all that any other ipod sounddocks are lacking>highs, mids & lows all-in-one box. Add up it's sleek and minimalist design  ;)
