if you were talking about the 1984 FAP Awards Night Sharon won for Sa Hirap At Ginhawa over Nora's Bulaklak sa City Jail and Vilma for Sister Stella L.

more questionable wins would be

Ai Ai delas Alas for Ang Tanging Ina and the recent Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo - STAR Awards for Movies... the PMPC's credibility just went down the drain...

Vilma Santos for Mano Po 3 over Nora Aunor's performance in Naglalayag again STAR Awards for Movies

Coney Reyes for Bago Kumalat Ang Kamandag over Cecille Castillo in Karnal 1983 MMFF

Johnny Delgado (Misteryo Sa Tuwa) over Herbert Bautista (SRR-Manananggal Episode) for Best Actor at MMFF in 1984.

The credibility of MMFF was always at stake but then, they were the only one who honored Nora for Bernal's HIMALA. Time will always be the main gauge, if you weigh between Vilma and Nora for that year, I believe Nora's role was more difficult. Vilma was more competent in BROKEN MARRIAGE which was released the following year, 1983. This should be the one that she should got the grand-slam feat.
