the ang lee version goes down particularly well with the critics. while it boasted of good enough action scenes, it got bogged down by too much exposition. and i did not like the villain that much.

as for the norton ed, they certainly made up for the first one's lack of action with the abomination.

so i'd say 60-40 in favor of the norton version.

2 disc steelbook Thai version is okay. I just bought it and will check if pq and audio is good.

The DVD Grades: Picture A-/ Audio A/ Bonus B+

The Incredible Hulk appears in an aspect ratio of approximately 2.35:1 on this single-sided, double-layered DVD; the image has been enhanced for 16X9 televisions. Expect few problems here, as the transfer boasted solid visuals.

At no point did any real concerns with sharpness materialize. Most of the time, the movie featured concise, accurate elements, as only a sliver of softness ever occurred. I noticed a hint of edge enhancement – most obvious around onscreen lettering – but shimmering and jagged edges remained absent. Source flaws failed to create distractions, as the movie was free from defects.

As for colors, Hulk went with a hot South American palette during its early scenes. It cooled somewhat as it progressed, but it maintained a pretty obvious green orientation much of the time. All of these fit the design and looked good. Blacks were dark and dense, while shadows showed fine clarity and delineation. Overall, this was a very satisfying transfer.

And the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack of The Incredible Hulk worked even better. To put it simply, this mix rocked! From the opening ghost credit/origin sequence through all of the fight scenes, the track blasted all five channels through much of the film. Music showed nice stereo presence and delineation and miraculously held its own up against the effects.

Nonetheless, the latter dominated the mix, as they took control of the spectrum. These elements swirled about the spectrum and strongly enhanced the film. The louder action scenes offered terrifically involving and active audio. The surrounds provided plenty of discrete sound that seemed appropriate and blended well with the forward elements.

Audio quality also appeared excellent. Dialogue seemed natural and distinct, with no signs of edginess or problems related to intelligibility. Music sounded bright and vivid. The score showed nice depth and solid fidelity; the track replicated those elements quite well. Still, the effects remained the strongest aspect of the mix. From the environmental bits to the sonic assault of the fight sequences, the track featured clear and accurate audio that remained rich at all times. Bass response was simply terrific, as the track boasted deep, tight low-end elements; look to the campus battle for some serious subwoofer-pumping information. Overall, Incredible Hulk gave us a fine sonic affair that just barely fell below “A+” levels; this was a consistently great track that should act as demo material...

Edward norton is way much better. Didnt you notice thats why eric bana didnt reprise the role as hulk2 (He sucks!) and instead made a new version. ::)

I think both are ok but I still prefer the original one.

The original hulk Lou Ferrigno was in this movie. He was the security guard Ed has given a the free pizza.

Actually, this is already available this week exclusively (for now, at least) at Astrovision V-Mall's Anniversary Sale (in the first floor lobby of V-Mall). They had both 1-disc and 2-disc variants today. No steelbook yet.

Went to astroplus SM san lazaro last saturday the steelbook case are not yet available. They told me tentatively on the 28th it will finally be release but already got the 2-disc set.

Mas mahal daw kasi ang bakal. Hehehe. But seriously it's obvious that the distributor just wants to take advantage of the consumer. Iron Man is a sure thing when it comes to DVD sales.

feeling ko kasi di kumpleto nood ko pag di ko kinumpleto credits e. kaya most of the time, im the only one left in the theatre by the time the dts/dolby/sdds credits roll. :-[

amen to that bro.. :)..can't wait to grab my bd copy again and watch it..he he he...doon na lang sa credits...sana, pareho doon sa incredible hulk- iron man appeared sa ending ng movie..not after the credits...lesson learned indeed!
the only time i remember going thru the ending credits ay doon sa mga spoof movies i.e.naked gun, scary movies and the like coz nagkakatawa yun ini-insert nila...

nothing, really.. I asked because I replaced the discs in my steelbook with my R2 discs and was planning to give away the R3 discs to a friend.. was just checking if they were really the same discs as the regular 2-disc edition..

went to astrovision branch there...d din available..just the regular two disc and single disc of both titles.
Pero meron naman clang indy 4 giftset.

Dreamworks/Paramount should have emulated in their Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull DVD's what Universal did with The Incredible Hulk.

i dont know if it's just me, but that seems to be the trend when it comes to paramount releases.

I think not just a sequel but a cross-over movie just like in the comic book. A first in movie history.

Post by: voj on Nov 11, 2008 at 10:43 AM: I deliberately ignored the theatrical run of this Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton) as the bad aftertaste of the Ang Lee Eric Bana's version is still fresh especially after numerous screenings at HBO.

I got a chance to watch it a few weeks ago and I was very surprised. IMHO, this is even better than Iron Man. Not that Iron Man is bad, it is actually very good. But I loved this version of the Hulk.

I particularly like the way they paid homage to the two people who made Hulk a household name - Bill Bixby (as shown on TV early in the movie) and Lou Ferigno (as the security guard) and, as someone posted earlier, as the voice of Hulk.

British ratings standard logo. Individuals 12 years old and above only are allowed to see the film.

I have this on DVD and like some of you here, I find this version better than Ang Lee's overdramatic film.

Still I don't like the fact that Rick Jones was once again omitted. He's the one guy who's responsible as to why Bruce Banner became the Hulk in the first place.
