Title: Decorative Acoustic Panels
Post by: MAtZTER on Oct 16, 2008 at 06:04 PM
LY Decorative Acoustic Panels

"Good sound begins with good acoustics."

The improvement for your system is not only because of your gears, its your room.  ;)

"The room is 50% of the experience" -THX

www.macrotechtradehouse.com (http://www.macrotechtradehouse.com)

webpage still under tweaking. Keep coming back, its being updated weekly.

Like wood?

Wood is generally accepted as a preferred surface treatment in general architectural spaces, as well as in critical listening and performance spaces. However, wood is reflective and may generate problematic reflections, corrupting intelligibility and music quality. To mitigate offending reflections, upholstered fiberglass or stretch fabric systems have been used.

LY wood acoustic panels offer an attractive and handsome wood alternative. LY acoustic panels offer the ability to utilize flat wooden planks or panels and also to provide sound adsorption in precisely the frequency range desired. LY acoustic panels consist of a series of parallel grooves. At the base of the grooves there are holes, providing a sound path through the panel. By varying the groove spacing and the rear air cavity depth, one can obtain absorption over a wide range of frequencies. Many groove spacing and sizes are offered.

With 100 different finishes to choose from and easy to install tongue and groove system. Also available in 60cm x 60cm perforated panels for ceiling.

128mm x 2440mm (8 ft) planks can be ordered:
-with groove & holes (regular, absorber), or
-with groove & no holes (diffuser), or
-no grooves at all (accent).

Varieties:
E1 (environment friendly) MDF in laminated finish (cheapest)
B1 (Fire retardant rating) MDF in laminated finish
E1 MDF in real wood veneer
B1 MDF in Real wood veneer (most expensive)

European technology, widely used in UK, Switzerland, Gemany.

We can print your digital files of your company logos, patterns, artwork, movie posters, family portrait, etc. on these panels to give you a wide variety of interior design options while giving a superb solution to echo and reverberation.

Hi Jake!

You may order this from SGT Home Theater and Sights & Sounds. They are some of the limited dealers who we have chosen to carry these products.

For a more pro workmanship, we are also coordinating with contractors and interior designers (and even acoustic engineers) for package deals. For now AVDI in Shangrila can do this for you.

For prices, there are 4 variants (fire resistant or not, real wood or laminated) of the wood panels, so please specify which one you prefer before I can quote you.

Quotation is per square meter, material only. Design & installation is not included. But we have a list of installers, interior designers and acoustic engineers ready for project referral.  :)

Thanks sir

Only the Polyester samplers are there. The wood panel sampler w/ 100 colors have to be borrowed by appointment. We are getting the "leftovers" from the project we posted above soon. So dealers will have samples to show this week.

You may refer to the pallete of the website, but IMO, nothing beats seeing it for yourself in person.

Nice products!  :o  :o  I could recommend this to our projects...  :D

Thanks sir. These products are not limited only to listening rooms & home theaters. It has a wide variety of uses including offices, schools, court rooms, restaurants, hallways, call centers, auditoriums, etc. Too many to mention.

We started this business aiming at churches, where it is so common that God's word is so hard to understand most of the time due to poor acoustics. Many churches buy more expensive equipment thinking it will solve the problem. Little do they know, acoustics is the solution.

I think in a way, the same applies to our hobby.  ;)

Wow, great looking acoustic panels. Ganda ng project, bro. Matt.  :D

Thanks, and there are so many design configurations for the panel. The wirings are conveniently hidden under the panelling. Perfect for hiding all those messy wires of those 4 surrounds and the projector wiring!

For the project posted above, there is also ambient lighting hidden under the panels, pointing to the floor. You may use rope lights for this. It wont affect picture quality plus it lights the floor pa!

We will post pictures of the ambient lighting when the project is fully finished.

Exactly sir. And the messy wires are conveniently hidden underneath the panels.  :)

There are plain finishes like gunmetal grey, etc. to match plasma TV's, if wood finishes arent the customer's preference.

Day 3 installation of wood panels

Day 4: a very happy & satisfied architect keeps on coming back to marvel at his new HT room.

Hi Matz,

My house is under construction now and I am very interested in this product. Would you be able to give a cost estimate in terms of per square meter of material and installation cost or maybe per piece. I am thinking of not totally covering my walls  but sort placing them like an array of pannels.

Would someone help me design the room as well. I hope I can afford your products. they look expensive but nice....hehehe!
