The first episode was aired today. Still haven't seen it though. :(
-
I haven't watched it, but scanning through my recording, Studio 23 aired it without commercial interruptions, so the Philippines saw the end of the episode about 15 minutes ahead of the East Coast. ;D

Racer Mel White (the dad of School of Rock screenwriter and co-racer Mike White) is the author of a 1989 biography of Cory Aquino entitled Aquino: The Untold Story! Ninoy and Cory Aquino's Journey of Faith. http://www.amazon.com/Aquino-Mel-White/dp/0849906709 (http://www.amazon.com/Aquino-Mel-White/dp/0849906709)

The race up that hill was comedic gold! Looking forward to the rest of the season. If the premiere were any indication, changes made this season could bring back what made this series amazing in the first place. Less screen time at the airport. More time to enjoy the scenery. Split screens a la 24, which made it even more suspenseful than usual.
-
More than the show -- I am happy to see old guards like my friends Reuven and Gurang coming back! Yehey!
-
I just hated the fact that the couple was the first team eliminated. They would've surely brought the drama and the bickering this season.
-
Yup, that was an excellent premiere - with the new opening credits, the new music, the split screens, the "never mind the airport drama, we've seen it all before" attitude, it almost feels like a reboot. Did the show get a new head writer or show runner?
That cheese task was something else. ;D But I just have a feeling those wooden rigs were... rigged. It's hard to believe they all fell apart if they were constructed to withstand 100 pounds of cheese in the first place.
-
I can't believe that the deaf guy doesn't lip-read. Seriously.
-
just saw this last monday, the cheese task was simply hilarious even the locals cheering them can't help it. the americans looked dumb on that task, only the old couple did it right. buti di nabutas ang bahay pag tinamaan nung rolling cheese from the hill haha
the FA team looked they had too much botox, I liked the cheerleaders (hooray for b***ies) ;D

Good episode again. Buti na lang I checked. DST na nga pala. Missed the first few minutes.

Why do deaf people have to know how to lip-read?
-
I think the answer to that is simple: To make life easier for themselves. And besides, if you expect people to accommodate your handicap, then you should also put an effort in making it easier for people to communicate with you. If not, it's a "Poor me, I'm deaf, YOU deal with it" situation. Not everyone knows how to sign. I actually know a bit, but I can't blame people who don't. Unless you have a family member who is hard of hearing, it actually even makes more sense to learn a foreign language than to learn to sign.
I've always hated the Yield and the U-Turn, since it takes away from actual racing skill. To make it a BLIND U-turn is even worse: You're already an a-hole, and you don't even have to take responsibility for your actions. It probably wouldn't have made a difference today since the team was already in last place, but still, I've always hated this "twist" they added to the game, and now they've made it an easier decision to make for teams that want to use it.
But I actually found it funny that the deaf-mute actually got to do the first blind u-turn, as well. ;D

I'm sad to see Team Schneebly go especially Mel White who behaved as an atypical reality show contestant. He never yelled at cab drivers to go fast nor bothered God with his trivial race concerns.

Million-dollar potty break. Argh! Would've loved either Margie and Luke or Jaime and Cara to have been eliminated. Rooting for Tammy and Victor for the win! [/end spoiler]
-
One of the most ill-advised moves ever! I'd do it in my pants if that means getting a one in three chance of winning a million bucks. Heck, I'd do it in front of Phil if I have to!

Kahit nga umebs gagawin ko in front of Phil and whoever is blocking my path towards the pitstop. It was amazing how understanding the elder sister appeared to be, pero kung kapatid ko yon, binatukan ko siguro.
-
^ Baka ginawa pa rin niya. Maybe she was smart enough to wait nung wala nang camera. :D
-
sayang talaga sila, sorry for the super delayed post. watched it earlier kanina and still naiinis pa rin ako >:( i wish it was margie and luke who got eliminated
Go Tammy and Victor!!! 8)
-
It is easy who to root for. I do not like the biatches because they think that the whole world should accommodate them. I do not like the mother and son team because the son is obviously spoiled and the mother is overcompensating. I like the brother and sister team because they are respectful to the locals.
-
this was my favorite show before but i just got tired of it after theyve already been to every city in the planet so i dont watch anymore, but i got to watch one episode so im rooting for the asians (that is if theyre still around) :D
-
This is the only second season where the team I really liked won. Way to go, Tammy and Victor! Loved how the dispatcher put Jaime in her place. I really thought Margie and Luke was going to win, I thought I wouldn't be able to watch anymore. [/end spoiler]
-
cant be any happier with the outcome ;)
-
I'm really happy with the outcome. This was my favorite team from the start, despite Victor's early dictatorial attitude (and sing-song voice - I'll miss the "Oh my GOOOOOD!" we hear on Studio 23 at the start of every episode. ;D). But to be completely honest, I'm even happier that Margie and Luke were in a commanding lead, then Luke did so poorly in the task that they came in last. ;D [/end spoiler]

nakatagpo ng katapat yung cheerleader!
Btw I am surprised that we have only page for this thread.
