Is it possible to order a big screen tv from amazon, 100lbs shipping weight, be delivered to the US msb address, and MSB will be the one to ship and deliver to my doorstep?

maybe they didnt send it as one package? or 1? $11 shipping is $5.50 x 2.. so maybe they counted it as 2 items instead of bundling it together?
Isn't that what JAC charges also? $6 for 1 pound then $5 handling fee....only no $25 initial fee.
The weight of each package is computed on the basis of actual gross weight or dimensional or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. The formula for the dimensional weight is length X width X height divided by 166. This is automatically computed by the mySHOPPINGBOX website whenever a package is received for a Subscriber.
This is how they compute it .... weight by volume sila. Unlike Jac parang based sila sa shipping weight talaga .....
Quoting the internet website ng My-shoppingbox.com:
my package is 9.5" x 7.5" x 3.5"
Thus : Volume weight = (9.5 x 7.5 x 3.5) / 166
= 1.50 lbs by volume or two pounds
Shipping Cost = two pounds x $5.50 (by Air pinili ko)

JAC also charges whichever is higher, volume weight or actual weight.. same din computation nila for volume weight..

Hmmm ... have you checked if your items' shipping weight was calculated using the original or with their repackaging? Unless they provide you the choice to not repackage the items, parang masagwa nga ang dating.
On a side note, I'm still waiting for my items. Ocean freight is definitely cheaper, but it can also drive you up the walls with all the waiting.

kadarating lang din nga ng item ko ..... same scenario naka -unpack sa lalagyan ng amazon ... dalawang bluray ang nakalagay sa sarili nilang plastic....
kung ganun pala they should have calculated the volume ng actual shipment. hindi yung susukatin sa pre-shipment state ng item na naka pack sa amazon packaging tapus itatanggal din pala sa lalagyan para ilagay sa malaking kahon nila.
kahit na fractrion lang yun sa volume weight ..... it could make a difference whether you pay the extra pound or not. open to argument tuloy yung method na ito

AFAIC, whatever reason they may have in doing this but opening your package is not right. Technically based on one company's rules and the owner of the package, and legally by law unless you are the Customs examiner.

nothing in our subscription agreement that you will repack my item.
having previous experiences with amazon purchases I was expecting it
was in its original corrugated box like packing. plus i am aware that
you computed my shipping cost base on amazon's packing sleeve.

underneath the bluray disc was used instead. my intention is not to

There have been indeed, several instances, when carton boxes had to be changed when these cannot be fixed or re-taped properly, after these are torn open or damaged, during random inspection by the Philippine Customs, to avoid items from falling out or exposed, but just the same, the delivery should have been in a carton box, with a note informing you that the box had to be replaced.

I tried to test the rates using their calculator, for my:
13 pound (10 x 7.5 x 5 inches)
and
22 pound (16.3 x 14.1 x 5.1 inches)
packages, ang total cost is more than $250
Parang mahal ata ang lalabas vs I get my own box and have it shipped as a balikbayan box which is less than $200 per box with room to spare. I was expecting the same cost lang sa balikbayan box.
wag kayo gagamit ng msb pag sea shipping.. lugi talaga vs own box..
mas mahal talaga ang air shipping via sea sir. pero ang speed ang habol..

The custom rep was courteous enough to get the details including tracking number and said she will get back to me. that afternoon, i received the notice. na misplace ata nila sa california. i asked whether their staff in california is Filipino or American. she says Pinoy dw staff nila doon...

oh my..that's too much. and yes they do charge by volume weight whichever is higher.. i think it's written in the FAQ.. that's why everytime i make a purchase and i plan using MSB i check/calculate the shipping weight first. if not worth it i don't buy... 90lbs volume weight malaki un sir..

Seems lately their service is sloppy. my last 2 orders took/taking time to be delivered. I have one pending which i already paid and authorized March 2nd and it still has not arrived.
The one before that was paid Jan 22nd and was delivered only on April 4th. when i emailed them checking where it was a week or so before it was delivered, they said the ship encountered mechanical issues hence the delay. BTW, its still showing "Arrived in Manila" status on my dashboard for this order"

last shipment i had was delivered last night. Paid on Tuesday, 26 June. pwede na. this one shipped for free using the $12 na naipon ko from the promos/vouchers they gave past months.
^based from my last experience dealing with their customer service, if it gets too complicated for them to do or answer, they will no longer respond. I stopped using their service after knowing that Amazon ships the items direct to PH na with little to no difference sa shipping price if it goes through MSB. and it gets here faster pa. way faster.
