I believe that the xtreamer series becomes unusually hot during movie marathons, at least 3 movies in a row. Tsaka pag nagcopy ng movies using the xtreamer. Have you tried either of the two, sir francisco22?

Mura talaga compared sa online lalabas ang ixtreamer dito sa Pinas.
Based on international price, ang Pinas ang may pinakamababang mark up specifically sa xtreamer products.
Kahit ipabili sa singapore, europe or korea. Lalabas na mahal pa din sa kanila.
We compared prices using international SRPs.
But I think mura na rin bili ni sir francisco22, kasi parang kasama na sa bayad yung ice cube.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think warranty ang nawala sa privilege ni sir francisco22.

Sorry, did not get to ask - which is why I visited their shop to fully inspect what comes in their 9.2k package.
Unfortunately, it got sold right away.
Im hoping to find both the wifi antenna and Ice Cube heat sink inside the package.......sana ;)

I might get one instead of buying a separate ipod dock.

Guys - may mga issues ba regarding ipad/touch docking?
The unit carries 2 FW ata - one for the dock and one for the nmt. Just thought I'd ask, kasi kung hindi maganda ang dock integration - para lang sya regular na NMT, diba?

Got my unit today from Villman SM North Annex for P9500...no freebies like antenna and ice cube included. Kinda flimsy yung pagkadock ng ipad....mukhang mababali kaagad...since there's no support at the back. GUI is blue already...looks better than my previous gen.1 xtreamer na red. Remote is bigger na.
Ipod integration is so..so, I don't like the graphics....baka I need to do some tweaking pa. I'll post more details later....explore ko muna. ;)

sir if you do some movie marathon or copying mkv files using the i-xtreamer, please inform us on the details. especially on the "heat up" of the unit if any.

i was able to do 3 movies last nite and transferred movies from my old xtreamer 2.5 gb hd to a new 2tb 3.5 hd....hehehe 5am na ako nakatulog. transferring was a bit faster than the old xtreamer. had to upgrade the firmwares and activate some programs thru the internet ( xtreamearing), was also able mount the new internal hd. yung back support for the ipad pala is located under the left side where the fan is. so far ok naman yung heating issues, not that prominent. medyo mahina yung sound coming from the ipad if connected 2.1 channels.....dapat daw dolby or HT connection which i will have to do later

for me sulit naman since pricing is not far apart from the xtremaer pro that looks like a generic avr.....i've been wanting to replace my old xtreamer since i don't like the red GUI and i want something that looks cosmetically good to compliment my HT set up. i've wanted the popcorn hour a200 for the longest time but don't like the big component like casing. i've tried other nmts and sold them after a week or two because i don't like the overall image quality. there's also another brand i like but was disappointed that na meron copycats of the same thing branded locally ala cdr-king. generic pala.
good thing this ixtreamer came at the right moment usable for the ipad. btw, charging with the ixtreamer is slightly faster.
also it's warranty is by pctrends, one of the local distirbutors so that means it will be out in other computer shops ...maybe at a lower price. ;)

Sir, i'm an avid PC enthusiast and regularly checks price list of local shops, also made several purchases at PC Hub and Quest Logic... price of Quest Logic is at par with PC Hub, they actually have lower pricing on CPU's and some gaming peripherals ... mas madami lang stock usually ang PC Hub ... the 9,200 price of Quest Logic is the lowest i've seen so far (locally)

To those who already owned this unit, how is the quality/texture of the new remote? As I do like the texture/quality/feel of the remotes from Samsung or Panasonic LCD TVs best. I think that it is just 2 steps (full size/full keys and luminescent) toward a better remote still. I suppose it is now comparable to that of Popcorn Hour?
Another thing I like on their changes, the new AC adapter now is just single voltage (and 12v at that). As compared to the Xtreamer PRO using a 4 pin AC adapter. Very difficult to find a replacement if it gets broken. Although the Xtreamer sidewinder and non-sidewinder are using single voltage also.
From the looks of it, docking an iPad onto the unit looks kind of flimsy. The dock might not be deep enough nor a back support is available/built-in. As the connector might be on a lot of stress which might lead to breakage. But an iPod/iPhone would be of no problem at all.

I fell in love with this unit.
The top most is made of plastic but the body itself is made of aluminum.
Kasi sa picture parang di ko inaasahang pulido.
but when I saw the markings, the ridges, curves and corners.. I was impressed.
For me the design is good. There are reasons why they made it with that shape.
First of all the front part is for the docking system of the ipod or ipad.
The middle part is used for the HDD bay and of course the output ports are located at the rear side of the unit.
Medyo alangan lang talaga yung dock ng ixtreamer kasi kung Ipad ang ilalagay mo parang mababali yung docking port. Kulang sa support especially for ipad. The cover is good, kasi di naman laging gamit yung connectivity port sa ibabaw.
Compared to other newly released NMTs... pinakapogi ang ixtremer IMHO.

i bought my xtreamer pro last sept 2010. prevailing price was 7,700 up, but PC hub was selling it for only 7,200. w/ all due respect sa mga suki ng pc hub, i got disappointed with their sales rep. hindi marunong mag asikaso pasa-pasa, parang utang na loob mo pa na bibili ka dun. pati products hindi pa kabisado. hindi daw pwede itesting, ibalik ko na lng daw pag sira, wala daw ksama na hdmi cable when its clear sa box na included. i ended up buying at greenhills for 7,700, ok lang na mas mahal basta ok ang service.

Kung sino man sa inyo ang gusto, ibenta ko na lang ito may kasama nang bagong Seagate na 2TB Hard drive for only 12,000 as a bonus, dagdagan ko ng wifi antenna (na hindi nagamit) at yung cooling kit (di rin nagamit)
ixtreamer + 2TB Seagate + wifi antenna + cooling kit = 12,000 good deal na.
Meron naman akong mede8er at wala na rin akong ipad binenta ko na :(

its really easy to use.
compatible ito sa iPad, iPhone4, even low versions of iPhone and iPod.
Kung pareho lang yung terminal ng iPad2 sa iPad1, pwede din sa ixtreamer yan.

very easy to manuever... similar to other NMTs.
maganda ang GUI competitive compared sa popcorn and wd live hub yung iba hindi ko pa nakita.
wala pa akong naencounter sa movies na nahirapan siya. even yung mga almost 20G type of movies.
walang problem.. smooth na smooth.. hindi maingay and hindi umiinit. used it for almost 10hrs straight.

Am also interested in getting the ixtreamer... i have read the reviews and so far am set on getting this. Just one thing bothers me... what kind of internal hard disk (1TB) would be best installed with minumum budget but still get the performance and reliability? Dami kasi HDD specs beside the obvious capacity... meron SATA I/II, 5400rpm, 7200rpm, green, etc.
in short...What internal HDD do/would you use?

Enjoying the ixtreamer but one problem I have with it (not really ixtreamer's fault) is the remote for sky cable digibox switches it ON. When I tested it, the Info, vokume up and volume down buttons on the sky cable remote switches it on. hassle!

it's not limited to iXtreamer. my Xtreamer Pro also does this to my skycable digibox. generic china IR lang ata gamit nila sa remote.
