my faves are the cowboys, the trotters and greg & mallory.
bad week for my 3 faves. the trotters shoulda been 1st and the other 2 are the last 2 teams. luckily for the father-daughter team, it's a non-elim round.

:( :( :( that's because the other teams cheated. napagkaisahan ang cowboys since they're a big threat. oh well.

I think it's a mistake by the producers to allow cheating, as it robs the show of the spirit of competition, it's no longer a race.

I didn't see it as cheating. Sharing answers has been done before. If the cowboys had played a better social game, someone might have told them the distance. From some posts on other forums, the cowboys were apparently recipients of very good editing to appear as heroes on the show, but were actually rather antagonistic. At least during their first appearance on the show.
But it really made no sense to me why anyone would tell anyone else the correct answer for that task this close to the end of the race. I wouldn't have. Heck, it's a race for a million dollars, so the bigger your time advantage over other teams, the better. We've seen seasons where the third place team during the finale was almost a day behind. That really works for you.

actually, they're in 3rd place, the trotters are 2nd. :)
the sisters only won one leg in the entire race...
and it's the one that counts most -- the $1M leg!!

After all these seasons, I still don't get it why the producers would not eliminate the taxi factor in the final leg. They should make the final teams drive for themselves from the US airport and make all the final challenges, roadblocks and detours the toughest of the season. Wouldn't it be better if the final challenges were like finishing a huge pan of cheeze fondue to multiple vomitting degrees, followed by looking for a small clue in a very huge haystack or track of land under heavy heat, and then some serious puzzle solving combined with stamina challenge, before a final short sprint to the finish line?

I've said something similar before to my wife. Yeah, let them earn it through merit and hard work. Not by luck of the draw (of the taxi driver).
Pero at least may roadblock and a couple of other tasks na in the final city. May mga seasons dati na puro go here go here na lang pag labas mo ng airport, eh. Kung nauna kang lumabas ng airport malamang lamang panalo ka na, hehe.
