Hello! I'm new here and glad i found this forum. I'm planning to purchase 32 inch lcd full hd. I'm choosing between Samsung 550 series & LG-LK450, between this two may difference sila na 2.5k...Is there much difference between the LG & Samsung? Can they both play mkv files w/o issues? If there's no difference kasi LG na lang purchase ko and add ko 2.5k for home theater. Thanks :)

magkano po ang samsung32 550?

I was surprised that the LK450 can read and play flv files! Nice! Tinalo pa yung LW5700.

2 years daw ang warranty ng samsung. i don't know about LG. if your choice is between the two only, i'd just go with the one with a longer warranty period.

both are generally good, but what made me decide to get an LG are 1) easy warranty claims and service response (vs so-so feedback for samsung) and 2) better-sounding home theater (mid-grade)

i was about to buy the LG 42LK450 but instead decided on getting the LED version which is the 42LV3500.
i was able to test both the samsung 550 and the LG LK450 and both of them can play .mkv files.
what really made me decide on getting LG was (as aceaceace mentioned) is the easy warranty claims and the home theater add-on.
so far i'm enjoying my LG TV and HT without any problems... :)
