Hi guys, i need to know your opinion on lcd tvs. I am planning to buy one for my room (10 feet by 15 feet). I tried out a 32 inch samsung l5 and its seems fine. But some say i should get a bigger one (42 inch). What do you think?
-
bigger is better. its jsut the budget that prohibits.
-
budget and space would be your only limitations. ;D
-
I agree. The biigger, the better. I am now planning to upgrade to a 42" or bigger.... 32" is parang maliit na for me. So, Go Big Time na kagad! ;D
-
agree din ako! I'm now considering this after seeing how good Toshiba lcds are:

I agree with the others too. You will have a better viewing experience when you have a bigger unit in your room considering the viewing distance. ;)
-
Considering how affordable flatscreen prices have become over the years, I'd say go for the 42". Ako nga, I started with a 37" in our main viewing room, but upgraded to a 47" less than 2 years later.
-
maliit na nga ang 42 e,imho.get a 51'! ;D

The above replies are just some of the perfect examples of why you shouldn't get a 32"...
GO for 42" or bigger!!! ;D ;D ;D
Seriously, our room is smaller than yours and we have a 42 and never regret having it. ;)
-
I visited an appliance store again today to get a good look between a 32" and a 40". The 32" suddenly looks small beside a 40-42"! :D

..and the 42" TV would look small beside a 50" set. ;D

I was at Ansons looking at their Samsung Plasma D8000 60" and a Sharp Quattron that is also 60" and wow ang laki comparing to our 42 inch TV..
The next day on my way to work dumaan ako sa Audio Amplified, pinakita nila yung Demo Room nila na may projector at 120" or more ata na screen and played King Kong...
Like what other has said... Get the biggest TV you can afford.. After buying dont try to look at TV's bigger than yours he he he.. or else...

my room is almost the same size as yours and my screen size is about 74" diagonal. imho, sa simula lang overwhelming ang malaking screen. pag araw araw mo pinapanooran, manliliit din yan sa paningin. hence, as long as hindi pa pixelized yung tingin mo sa screen, the right move is to get the biggest size you can afford.

-
thanks for all the advice, sirs. Ill get a 42.
-
I got myself the LG 42LK450. I'm satisfied with my purchase. :D

Agree with most of the comments. Just installed a 32 inch in my room and later I will return it to boss Vic and get the 40 inch. The price diff is not that significant but the size? makes a lot of difference. 3 things that must be considered, room size (distance between you and the tube) , use of the tv (game, movies , etc) and budget. Made the budget last priority bec honestly, Kung kaya mo bumili ng 32? Konting ipon na Lang 42 na. :)
-

Totoo! Replaced the 32 I got from boss Vic and got the 42. Lesson learned, get the 42. The bigger the better :)

IMO, 42 inches is the "goldilocks-zone" of screen sizes. ;) siguradong "busog" ang mata mo sa 42"! :D of course, you can always go bigger if your budget or space permits. :)

These days, 50" is the living room standard.
42" OK na rin, but 32" is too small. Ang 32" and smaller, pang bedroom na lang --- for viewing distances that are shorter than the average living room distance.

The Avant appliance store near Greenbelt 5 has had the 70" Sharp Aquos LED on demo display right outside its main entrance for at least 2 weeks now. Dagnabbit, the display always manages to stop me dead in my tracks whenever I pass by the store, *regardless* of whatever it is I might be doing or thinking of at the time. Haaaayyy...

Mahirap pag nasimulan na. At first i thought ok na ako after getting my first LED 32" unit. Ngayon parang naliliitan ako and gusto ko ng 42! Pero realistically, hindi pwede sa small viewing area ko kaya sticking with the current one muna :) maganda na talaga presyo ng mga LEDs ngayon unless mag smart tv/internet feature which is mahal pa.

I had my cousin in the US order me a 60" Kuro. He ordered it online and the company shipped it straight to the forwarder. No testing nor any visual inspection done. I had my fingers crossed while its in transit. When it arrived, I checked if the screen had cracks. None. Powered it. It works! The gamble paid off.
Sir, can you breakdown the cost? the TV, the shipping, etc.. might consider doing this in my next tv purchase :)
OT na talaga ;D
