For those who have access to Spike TV, I highly recommend the Joe Schmo show. I'm not a fan of reality shows but this one reality show got me hooked! Its unique, very entertaining and you'll laugh your ass off!
To give you guys an idea, this show is quite similar to Big Brother but there's a catch: The whole reality show is a FAKE. The whole show is based on a pre-defined script. The show started with 9 participants and 8 of them are actors hired by the show. Only 1 person thinks the whole show is for real. This what makes the show funny because this one guy doesn't have a clue of what's really going on. Each of the 8 actors portrays a unique character and all of them blended well.
There are only 5 participants left so the show is almost halfway done. The 5 remaining characters are: Joe Schmo (Matt), The Gay Guy (Kip), The Rich Bitch (Ashleigh), The Virgin (Molly) and The Buddy (Brian). The ones who were eliminated are: The A.S.S.H.O.L.E. (Hutch), The War Veteran (Earl), The Reality Expert (Gina) and The Quack (Dr. Pat).
I would also like to add that The Rich Bitch and The Virgin are two HOT BABES and I'm glad that they're still in the show !!! ;D

Well, guess what after 9 months you posted this topic... I join you in appreciating this one of a kind reality tv show.
Well, it was just last week I finished viewing the entire season of Joe Schmo from its uncensored DVD release, and dude.. Im hella laughing out on how the producers and actors pull the stunt on mr Joe Schmo

Are you in tuned with Season 2? I am... never miss a single episode. Joe Schmo2 this time includes two schmo... Joe & Jane Schmo
Oh.. this time season2 was based on the reality tv show The Bachelor but with sick twist out of it.. and every eviction ceremony its always SHOCKING

Been following Season 2 of Joe Schmo. The show's corny concept makes it even funnier. Not only did they mock The Bachor, they also did a parody on Meet My Folks, Big Brother, Omarosa....and practically every other reality show on TV (except TAR!). Joe Schmoe 2 did not live up compare with the 1st season..
It was Ingrid who messed up the producers and actors....
Well to the dumbness of Producers... they opt to give not 2 but three schmoes with $100,000.oo each...

Season One of Joe Schmo was really a laugh riot! I think the main appeal of the show is that Matt, a.k.a. Joe Schmo, is a very likeable guy, and it's hard to believe he can't tell that everyone else is an actor!
For those in the province, Season One of Joe Schmo starts on Series Channel this Sunday, January 8th, at 4AM/10AM/4PM/10PM Philippine Time.

Thats why the second season fell to the same concept as the first one... expectations were not met.

Just found out that this show is on JackTV (ch 17 on Sky) every Friday at 8:00pm. I think this Friday will be episode 3.

Looks like after 2season... The said concept reality show was cancelled.. they really ruined the 2nd season.
