Title: EXPIRING DVDs ?!!

I am really annoyed...I have a bunch of Region 1 DVDs that I spent a lot of good money on and collected over several years, like various seasons of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, etc... and now that I have finally gotten around to having time to watch them, they're useless! They're clouded over, or have dark blotches, or have faded so much that you can see through to the back of the disc labels... My entire collection of Stargate Atlantis is like this and unwatchable! What gives? What's happening here? It makes me want to give up on ever collecting original video discs...
