Well, George Merkert (http://breakingbad.wikia.com/wiki/George_Merkert)(Hank's former boss) could've been dirty. But the show never really focuses that much on the "cop" side of things for us to find that out. Most of what we see of that aspect is from Hank's perspective, and he's a pretty honest cop.

Lucky you. You can watch several seasons in succession. This is an awesome series. The character developments are incredible. It is amazing to see Walter transform.

I've been putting off watching this show for a while, and finally decided to start (and wanted to get caught up before the last episode airs) a month ago.
Did some Netflix binge watching the last couple days; Took the day off yesterday and watched the whole third season and the first couple episodes of season 4. Hope to finally get all caught up this weekend.
The show really is addictive (I guess like that blue meth), and it's nice to see Vince Gilligan doing really well after The X-Files (and I must say, BB has been a step up, and more consistent).

This show got progressively better. Awesome plot and character developments. Timely and fitting deaths. Nothing can turn out good for Walter White but we'll totally enjoy Heissenberg's last hours. Ricin. An automatic weapon. That can only mean A showdown to end all showdowns. Dang. Bring it on.

Just finished watching the 1st 3 seasons of Game of Thrones. Loved it.
Will be downloading Breaking Bad naman due to the good reviews. 4 seasons na ba? TV marathon ulit ito, hehe. Once you've started with a good TV series, you just can't stop - like an "unputdownable" book.

yup ang i have just watched the second to the last episode 14 last monday. Mr White was still contemplating so many things and it is ending kaya nabibitin pa ako. The energy of the characters are still in its peak and i cant imagine the abrupt ending. I want to see the ending to be more dahan dahan until the energy goes down to zero and justice will be served according to the degree of their respective culpability.

Downloaded all five seasons of Breaking Bad this weekend and having watched the first 5 episodes of season 1 on the trot, I'm hooked. Uncomplicated plot (so far), funny and brutal at the same time, Cranston's character Walt just pulls you in. You can't help but root for the guy as he goes down through his oh so deliberately chosen rabbit hole.

The perfect ending to a perfect drama series. Totally expected yet totally unpredictable. If you have not seen this series or the Finale, have an internet blackout. The Finale is worth it. AWESOME. Fitting. No loose ends. Galing mo Heisenberg. I want to shave my head.

True. When I a new show was out I had been on internet blackout. Specially finales. There are headline and titles that are really out to spoil things.
As for forums, there should be a specific thread that can discuss details. This particular thread restricts in depth discussion. The way I see it, if one doesn't want spoilers, don't read any thread. Accidents will happen and the excitement is out the window.
For this reason I not appreciate tv shows based on published books. Events are known and it is inevitable that your viewing can be spoiled.

Middle of Season 2 and I'm really into it now - just finished that head in a tortoise scene. Most powerful scene thus far is when Walt kills Krazy 8 - the moral dilemma Walt undergoes before finally doing it - it's powerful stuff. Also that scene where they poisoned Tuco's burrito and Tuco's mute and paralyzed uncle trying to warn Tuco with that bell. Rarely does TV get this good.

Brad inabot nga ako ng 3 AM kagabi hehe - Starbucks lang katapat. Yup there's plenty of funny, horrific, ridiculous but totally believable scenes and situations reminiscent of the "the gimp" scene in Pulp Fiction.

Also, from Talking Bad (the "talk" show that airs after every new episode) after the finale:
Hardwick (the host) asks about Walt inexplicably leaving his watch at the gas station’s phone booth. Gilligan confesses that there’s the two reasons: a cool, artsy-fartsy reason that he and the writing team made up and a real reason. The real reason is due to continuity, since Walt did not have the watch on at Denny’s during the first season 5 flash-forward. The artsy-fartsy reason is that Walt didn’t need the watch anymore as he was about to encounter Jesse, who gave him the watch, for the last time.
Also, loved the ending. I was able to stay two steps ahead of the writers for the finale, but it didn't make the episode any less satisfying. Correctly guessed beforehand that the ricin will be for Lydia, the M60 was for the Nazis, and that Walt will eventually "rescue" Jesse. The wild card for me was what Walt was planning with Gretchen and Elliott, but by the first commercial break, I figured out Walt's plan (although the appearance of Badger and Skinny Pete was a welcome surprise).
Overall, I thought the finale was very well executed.
One of my favourite lines of the night: "I don't really know how to feel about this, morality-wise!"

I have unsettled issues though, like what happened to the fat man? or how did Walt manage to slip the powdered poison on the stevia? I was unsatisfied with the attitude of Pinkman. It seemed to me he did not even appreciate Walt saving him. Sana nagbati na sila sa ending para lalong maganda. ;)

Just finished all 5 seasons yesterday in a span of 2 weeks. It's nice one can do such nowadays. Great series. Who wants to go into the laboratory business?
Kidding aside, the series is a great depiction of how ordinary and underachieving teacher W. White transforms into the most wanted man in America using his natural gift: a genius-level criminal mind hitherto hidden beneath his mastery of Chemistry. Finely acted too with Gunn, Norris, and of course Cranston being particularly good. How could we still be rooting for him after he is exposed as a monster? The last 8 episodes, when the very close knit family gets ripped apart, were particularly brutal.

I think it's pretty close to reality - Mexico is the new Colombia, meth is the new crack/coke, and "El Chapo" Guzman of the Sinaloa drug cartel is the new Pablo Escobar. Remember that chainsaw scene in Scarface? These guys do it for real against members of rival cartels. Mexican roads are littered with dismembered body parts. There's big money at stake and the market is just across the border.

Just finished Season 3, I really liked the intrigue that Gustavo Fring brought to the table! I think he's my favorite character in the series, well suited and well acted pa nung actor. :)

Breaking Bad has some truly memorable villains - Gus Fring, Tio & Tuco Salamanca, Mike Ehrmantraut, the twins. Watch out for an explosive ending to Season 4.
And some memorable lines as well. I think Walter's "I am the one who knocks" and "tread lightly" lines are goods candidates for becoming popular expressions, not to mention Jessie's simple "bitch" rejoinder.

IMHO, the middle of Season 3 is somehow slow and boring until the last few episodes, pero ang bilis ng change in mood, biglang magiging suspenseful building up to the season finale. ;D

I have to disagree with regards to the episode I was referring to. yung episode na walt and jesse was catching the fly in the meth super lab, hangang ngayon, di ko pa ma-gets yung impact nun to the story. there was an angle na gusto ng writers to create a suspense in walt finding out jesse's habit of sneaking in a few pounds of meth, to the point na dinrug pa ni jesse si walt. parang wala ngang bearing yung episode na yun as of episode 4 of season 5. I think it was too much to spend a whole episode on such a minor detail about Walt's character and I have an inkling that the viewers, I for one, already know about Walt's meticulousness even before this episode, and also about the evidence, I think this would now be impossible since the place was burned with high temperature that no evidence will actually be able to survive.[spoiler/]
Oh well, still a great series nonetheless. :)

Yeah that fly episode was a bit of a "fly in the ointment ;)" so to speak. It's probably the reason I didn't catch the Br Ba bandwagon earlier because it happened to be the one I chanced upon while channel browsing years ago and it made me wonder what all the fuss was about.

That episode is really good one. Besides they dont want the batch to be contaminated, their flaws and strength were showned. Galing talagang umarte ni walter at jessie...perfect match..

I agree that the "fly" episode emphasizes Walt's meticulous nature but I can also see why people would say it was dragging, an entire episode confined in the lab is considerably slow for a series like Breaking Bad. But to say the entire season 3 is dragging in my opinion is not appropriate, it was the season where they dug deeper into each character.
While watching each episode, I always look forward to a scene where Walt would sit in front of the pool motionless & lost in his thoughts coz I knew a strategic evil plan is commencing >:D

For sure Walt went into it for family but like in real life, his motivation changed. When he discovers his innate ability to outwit and outsmart everyone again and again, ego, manifested by his Heisenberg persona, took over.
