Title: Beauty and the Beast

Synopsis:
While investigating a murder, Detective Catherine Chandler discovers a clue that leads her to Dr. Vincent Keller, a man who supposedly died in Afghanistan in 2002. She realizes that she has met him years earlier when he saved her from an assault that left her mother dead, and that he suffers from a condition that causes rage to turn him into a monster, which has forced him out of society. Catherine agrees to keep his identity secret in exchange for his help untangling the truth about her mother's murder--a partnership that will turn out to be a dangerous one.

Cast includes Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan, Max Brown, Nina Lisandrello, Brian J. White

From the names alone, this is a re-imagining of the 1987 CBS series that had Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman in it; however, this new series is on The CW, which probably explains why the "beast" here looks like some tween hipster model with a tattoo/scar.  :P

This will probably not be the first Beauty and the Beast series for this season, as ABC has also ordered a pilot with a different set of characters.

my better half is the one watching this series.
and by the way, my 9-yr old kid says Kristin is pretty. :D

well she is pretty but her acting in the first episode is similar to how she acted lana lang in smallville.
tapos, first episode pa lang and she already had fallen for the beast. lana lantod pa rin! ;D but I guess she is just following the script
