Do you guys have any info on the Prometheus Bluray? What features will it contain and is there really an Extended Cut?

Seems the deleted/alternate scenes are presented separately & not edited into an Extended Cut. The making-of material seems quite extensive though.

i would like to buy it im scared of Ridley stuff, baka mag kakaroon ng special edition 2 years from now.
i just don't like double dipping.

from what i've read from other online sources, hindi daw extended cut yung kasama sa blu ray. I'll hold off for the extended cut na lang kesa mag double dip. haha

Haha!! I think even just the theatrical cut is worth the price of admission alone.
If ever there will be a release for an extended cut then it must have as much substance as Aliens Director's Cut to merit a purchase.
If it's just going to be a simple cash in like Gladiator Extended Cut or Alien Director's Cut then I'll just pass.

for a person who likes extra materials like me, the 3D version is the one to own. The 2D version lacks the extra BD disc of bonus materials daw kasi. :/

Already acquired the 4-disc edition of this baby.
Hanganda!!!!! The Image quality is superb!! For a very dark movie, Ridley Scott managed to make the picture punchy and very three dimensional. The sound also adds a lot to the atmosphere.

The Prometheus DVD is terrible even for DVD standards.

I finally opened my Prometheus BD yesterday but I encountered a problem. My PS3 slim refused to play the BD. The Prometheus logo won't even appear in the video section. I tried to play it on my PS3 phat with modified firmware but in that unit I was being asked to download a new encryption key.
Have you guys encountered any problems with Prometheus BD?

there have been reported issues of the Prometheus BD not loading in PS3s and some Sony BD players...to make the story short, you might have to get another BD player.

try disabling the bd live of the ps3
Had the same problem. Disabled the bd-live on the ps3 and it played just fine. To do that, go to Video Settings and set the BD Internet Connection to 'confirm'. Unfortunately, you'll have to allow or deny each disk from that point on, so you'll probably want to set it back after you watch the movie.

Ngayon ko lang nabasa to guys. Thanks for the input. Bad trip talaga but I'll still keep my copy. I just decided to rip my BD and copy the file to my NMT. That was the only workaround I could think of that won't cost me anything.

Got the 4-disc edition from Amazon. Played in my PS3 Slim and encountered no problems so far. Watched the 3D version and the Special Features.

You will need to have updated firmware on your PS3 to play the BD. :)
