I noticed that there is still no Sonus Faber owner's thread here in PinoyDVD for us to talk about and share experiences with this magnificent Italian Speakers...

Those are SF speakers that were built in Italy if i'm not mistaken. Succeeding SF speakers are now made in china like liuto and toy collections. :)

Oh thanks for the correction. It's the venere collection that is presently made in china. :) the liutos and toys collections are still being made in italy.

Used to own a Sonus Faber Concertino Home with the matching wood+metal stands. Simply amazing both to look at and listen to. It was my first truly "high-end" speakers, after happily having lived with a PSB Alpha throughout my college years. This time, the Italian beauties kept me company through my work abroad far from family and friends.
My listening preferences have changed since, but the fond listening memories with the Sonus Fabers will forever be in my mind. :)

Observation ko lang sir sa matching nila halos tunog ss pa din. Lively na sweet ang highs pero hindi loose ang lows. Compared sa emotiva para sa akin mas balanced ang vtl w/ the auditor sa room ko.

Yes bro malambing, design pa ito ni Franco S. lalo pag naka-set sa triode pero pwede din maging mabilis pag nakakabit sa ss amp. Pag nagpapalit ako ng cables nag-iiba din ng character. Overall mas live na tunog ngayon sa room ko. Mas dynamic, malaki ang soundstage, mas buhay ang vocals. Kahit wala sa sweet spot ok pa din.

Count me in sa isa sa mga nangangarap. Waiting for the venere to come out. When i read the reviews, it has the regular bookshelf speaker dimension at a toy price.
Got the balls to audition the venere at Audio Venue. I find it similar sounding to the liuto, probably because it has the same dome tweeter. While the toy series has the same character like the cremona which shares the same ring radiator tweets. So I took home a set which I always loved to hear.

Got the toy monitor sir. I was actually looking for a compact bookshelf speaker for my small condo bedroom and my choices were the kef LS50, dynaudio x14 and a b&w cm5. All 3 of them were not available from the distributors. Since I always loved the sound of the toy monitor but hated the name, I dropped by audio venue. Comparing it to the liuto and the venere bookshelves, those two sound larger and they have deeper layering of instruments. What made me choose the TM was it has a more focused sound and slightly pushes out more details. The size was also a big plus too since I have a small space to work with. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Planning to mate it with a REL sub to compensate for the LFE.

Good observations sir, had the same insights. If you have a small room panalo ang toy monitor then mate it with a rel sub. Then add the toy center sir, sarap pakinggan ng movie sound details dyan. : )

The next upgrade bro is to look for another one and configure the amp to work as a mono block. It will belt out 600 watts in 4 ohms in mono mode. I tried that once and it just keeps on giving power. The grip on the speakers is just phenomenal.
